PTL/PTA Praise The Lord, Pass The Ammo
Spent my career playing in the streets. Did some time as a volunteer rescue, a few years playing in the field "somewhere out there", then back on an ambulance. Then became a Public Safety Officer (police/fire/medic) for 9 years and transferred to the FD as an engineer during the great Public Safety Divorce. Worked my way up to Captain and acting commander. Was medically retired in '02 due to an injury.

Thanks for posting on my blog. My husband was a volunteer first responder and I've heard him tell some pretty horrific tales. It takes a truly special type of person to do that type of work. I think I would become an angry person if I had to see the things that my husband has seen, and I imagine you have seen, and know that it could have been prevented w/a bit of responsibility.
