I was at the Soul Picnic a few weeks back and someone had on a t-shirt that read hate is the new love. I thought it was catchy. There is more hate than love for ones brethren on GOLO. I notice you stay out of "drama" and the negative that goes on here. That is good. It just shows what you are about. Lately, it has gotten worse. Stuff is too personal and some have vested in a lot of time on here and have made this place a priority as if it was their reality. I pray it never gets that serious for me and if it does, I will control + alt + delete.
How have you been? Do you have any plans for the weekend?

This weekend I am working but I have a good shift and will try to get my work out on. I need to be more committed to the gym and do some hanging out. Trying to relax and just breathe. It is hard to do that when you have so much going on. I was very sorry to hear about your friend. Your plate is full. I hope you manage to take some time for yourself this weekend. Dont forget about you, in the midst of everything else going on.

You are correct in the fact that an entity that exist outside of time would see everything as the present. That is to them it would always be 1942 and 2025. The concept of past and future would be irrelevant. Now for whatever reason we were given free will. Now if this entity would want to make sure that all births would result in a for lack of a better term a "religious person" then no person who would not meet this criteria would ever be born. Therefore the parents of this child could never meet or the birth would have to be nullified somehow. Yet ultimately even these steps interferes with the free will of the parents. So if you give everyone free will then the births of these people will be of their free choice.
I hope that is not to much of a cop out. I have something else but will continue -

I am not a Bible literalist. There simply is no such place as hell in the Jewish old testament. That is no place of eternal punishment. In fact much of what people think of hell is drawn more from the Greek version of Hades and it's great pit of Tartarus than anything from the New Testament. Other that the book of revelation which is an example of apocalyptic writing of that time and people then would have understood the metaphorical nature of the work.
The new testament does speak of fire yet then as now fire is seen in as an ultimate cleansing of things.
Now to actually answer your question now that you know somewhat from where I am coming. In the end God supports our free will so much that he will allow those that choose not to be with him -

Please... I am just trying to show you how I deal with such things personally. I think a lot of people are in for surprises. Those that talk a good game and fight for a minute of prayer in schools and think that is enough might be shocked by how they are greeted. And then someone comes up who never even believed but treated others as he wanted to be treated, a good and kind person. They might say but I never knew you. Remember when you gave that man food - that was me - welcome home.

btw, I am a Christian, and I lean toward the intelligent design theory. Afterall, fossils are evidence of existance past the 5-6000 years chronicled in our bible. So when I read those books I recommended to you...they made absolute sense to me. Have a great weekend and enjoy the cooler weather coming our way!
