I am a Registered Nurse, wife, mother of one beautiful daughter (6 years old going on 17, a good friend stated when I had my daughter that the hours and the days drag on, but the months and the years fly by - how true!) three dogs (all beautiful mutts) and an old cat.
My husband and I have the complete role reversal. I work and he is a stay at home dad! He definitely runs the day to day of the house better than I ever dreamed... My life is full and hectic like everyone else's. I enjoy reading, baking and spending time with my family. I am a native of Williamsburg, Va. My husband is a Tarheel (class of 94) born and bred and he has fully converted me to a Tarheel fan (at least in basketball)! I do enjoy watching most sports although NFL (really any football) is what I like the most. I am a Chicago Bears and Michigan Wolverine fan (midwestern parents).
I would say that I was a pretty liberal person, except now that I have had the displeasure of working with an entitlement program, some of my liberal leanings have changed direction.
Above all I consider myself very open-minded. I just really want to know, why can't everyone have just a little more common sense?

What is it like driving the Tunnel Bridge? We are planning to visit Virginia Beach on our way back and will probably drive it.

Our trips North involve crossing the Bay Bridge (~~SCARY~~)into Maryland to spend the night at BF's brother's, then up through Delaware and on to the coast of New Jersey. Now THAT is some traffic! One Christmas trip we left Brother's in the falling snow and slogged our way to Newark Airport to pick up Sister and on to Mom's. It took about 9 hours traveling at 35 mph. I was terrified that we would wreck - I just knew the Rescue folks would never reach us in that mess.
Actually, Sunday traffic is heavy because everyone is passing through on their way home.
I see on your profile you like football - me too! And I have two cats, 10 years old now, who rule our house. Someday soon I will get a digital camera and flood GOLO with pics of my "girls." My "stimulus rebate" has already been spent on new glasses and car repair.
