Mo, we missed you last night. I think I recall seeing your pic at the Starbucks gig from last summer. Everyone there, was just very nice.

"SB sorry you didn't like my Ice Diving clip. Didn't try to offend anyone, especially someone so pretty as you."

I Wish You A Merry Christmas

I Wish You A Merry Christmas

And A Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas Mohawk...Have a blessed new year.

Good evening Sir!! I'm assuming those are your grandkids, handsome boys...and a very cute Minnie Mouse!! This must have been a wonderful Christmas for these three....Great pics.

I saw the Christmas Pics and just HAD to comment!!! What cuties!!! and I can imagine that it was a 'magical christmas' for all. Take Care

Looks like yall had fun in Florida! Wish I were there this week...

Hey darlin'! You are such a gentleman, I love your blogs. Always entertaining, always fun and always respectful, with sometimes, a little naughty thrown in for good measure...LOL!!

Have a good evening sir.

LOL! Okay, Garry. Sorry love, habit and part of the job. Did you ride today? Perfect afternoon for it, here at least!!

Just stopping by to say hello and wish you a good Sunday.Hope this year is being a good one to you.

Getting out with the grandchildren was fun i know and sure they had fun being with you.My gradchildren have grown up now that they want to do there own thing with out grandma and grandpa.Sure do miss all of that even though we do go out to lunch often togeather.Wishing you a very good week.

Morning Buddy!! I totally understand about being sick!! I was just reading on WRAL that they are saying middle of next week you guys might get the coldest weather you have had since '85!!! This weekend MIGHT be a good one to ride, maybe the LAST one for a bit!! Hope you have a good ride if you make it out. That forecast is in line with ours too...we are supposed to go from this horrible cold (50 below) to 10 above by Wednesday. If it holds true like it has for over 25 yrs, we are one way and the east coast is the other. You guys have been pretty nice while we basked in these temps, now the table turns...Have a good one!!

Hey sugar, how are ya? Hope you've had a good day....

LOL! Yes, the sun was gorgeous, it felt so good. Those clouds did roll in pretty fast, sorry you got your behind wet!! I'm glad you got a chance to ride though, I'd love to be able to say, I put my leathers on...that's so cool!!

Good morning! I totally agree about Jesse Jackson. I definitely do not support who he is and what he is doing. That quote jumped at me while I googled to find one that would support my thoughts on the matter, and it seemed to fit perfectly. Have a great day. :)

Good afternoon! You blog last night really got my curiousity up, so I emailed my friend Sam, who is also the breeder I bought my coonhounds from. He was raised country like me. You know, every child in my family has been set out on Grandma's porch with a bowl of beans & peas to shell & snap, except my grandsons. Anyway, Sam hunts regularly. He is a pleasure hunter himself, so no guns needed, but there is such a wide variety of people he hunts with, I knew he must at least know some folk who eat raccoon. And sure enough, he does. cont.....

This si what he said:

"If the economy keeps stinking, we all may be eating cooon for supper. I have never tried it but have spoken with a lot of people that have and they all seem to say the same things:

it is a dark meat similar to bear (haven't had that either) can be a bit grisly/fatty if prepared right can be tasty

It just doesn't sound like my kind of meat. I don't care much for fatty steaks/chicken/etc so I haven't pursued eating cooon. I am always open to trying new things and would probably give it a go if I had the opportunity but I would have to trust the person that prepared it."

Sounds like you had a wonderful saturday. Spending time with old friends is always a blessing. Staying warm and dry this weekend has been the order of the day for most of us I think. I'm ready to go back to work, can you believe that?? Have a great week sugar.

Hello! Hope you have a wonderful week!!!

Hi Mohawk! I have not had the chance to read it myself, but I asked my sister if she had read anything from her, and she said she has. She loves the writing style! She is on my list of authors to discover as soon as I have time to read again. :) Have a wonderful evening! {{{HUGS}}}

Mornin' Mo...If you mean the Harley that was in that wreck about two weeks ago on the way to Morrow Mtn. the Dude is recovering and I think will be back to work this weekend. The bike is being repaired up at Cox in Asheboro to the tune of around 3K. So even though it looked at lot worse at thetime, things are working out and hopefully this will help all of us on our learning curves. Literally. You be good out there. Wish I could ride too but gotta work till Tuesday mroning. Sigh.

LOL...OIC what you meantnow by your "where's the Harley. LOL I just now saw the "Our Picks" section. I've seen that bike on here. Dude lives down East. Now, that ain't me, but I do like that curvy road up ahead of him! You take care. Be Safe.

Stay away from anything with Refined sugars. THat means sweets in general. Stil with Sugar fee jellos, puddings etc. NO sodas or sweet tea.

My suggestion - at least from when I was diabetic, was to use Agave - it's a natural sweetner and looks like honey. It's very concentrated so it doesn't take much. You can add it to your tea or coffee to sweeten but it is perfect for diabetics. http://www.wildorganics.net/index.aspx

I got mine at Trader Joe's. But I've seen it at Harris Teeter and Lowe's Foods.

Breads, I was told to stay away from white bread because of the refined sugar. I'll dig back up some of my old stuff and see what I can find to help you.

That is correct, I am no longer diabetic. Being Type II, I'm not missing out on insulin, my body was over producing. Having lost all that weight (and still more needs to go), I am no longer diabetic. My current diet has a lot to do with it as well... but it was primarily the weight

Hey baby! Thank you, so good to see you.

Just stopping by to tell you how much I enjoyed your blog on 45 lesssons. One of the best blogs I have ever read on here.Thank you so much for sharing. It was great!!! Wishing you a blessed night.

You wrote" "... Halifax county should consider vouchers..."

Actually, the school that I attended from '66 - '78 was in Halifax Co., and I believe it was the first chartered school in the state, begun in 1965. Research Enfield Academy if interested... we were there when Ravenscroft, Charlotte Country Day, etc. started blooming.

Not that YOU have done it, but it bothers me to see folks make comments inferring that everyone in Hal. Co. is a bumbling idiot. That's a "far piece" from the truth.

Have a good'un, and may God bless America!

Terri

Morning...

Re: why Halifax Co. & vouchers - just a suspicion of mine is that the city schools aren't all that bad, it's the rural ones.

For many, many years, those who "could" from the county's rural sector, have enrolled their kids in private schools. That would include families who made significant sacrifices in other areas of, in order to be able to afford this. The quality of education has been notably higher in the academies... even considering the lack of programs like home ec, FHA, ROTC, and so forth, that public schools are apt to offer.

I saw first hand that tuition = parental involvement, and that means that Little Johnny & Joanie either make the effort to succeed, or get their little hinies whupped up on!

Nice talking to you, like two grown ups!

Terri

Umm... sure! Handshake gladly returned. Whud I do? LOL

GoOd MoRnInG!! Have a blessed day!

Happy 4th!!! Have a safe and happy holiday weekend. :)

I'm so happy to see you, and yes I've missed you and your wit!! Hope you're having a great summer so far. I'm glad you'll be around more, hopefully I will to. Your chuckles always make me giggle!! I'll be emailing you soon. Have a good evening sugar.
