Good to hear from you. Our fam is dying to go back to WDW. We go for a around 10/12 days every 2-3 years, and stay in a different WDW resort each time. This coming summer we're going to be 2 wks at the beach...cause my momma wants to go so bad. LOL After that my husband & I have promised ourselves a trip to Ireland. We've put it off too dang long.

Been to those -- we would camp out for 2 wks in Aug and visited Milano , Rome , and Venice. The 2nd yr we went down to Pompeii and Dad started chatting w/ a car of Italians who kept passing us.They showed a good place to eat , then took us up Mt Vesuvius and then , later - came back up w/ a watermelon . We enjoyed the bay of Naples . But , while camping near Venius, I woke with over 100 mosquitoe bites . Dad's friends in Luccia were very concerned , as I just wanted to sleep. But, the Italians are really nice people . I hope you have a good visit with the husband and a nice tour of Italy.

oh, another note: Dad's friends lived in Luccia , outside of Pisa. One of the reasons I really wanted to meet Sandra , since she's from that area. Italy is a very beautiful country and the people are truly wonderful , too. I truly enjoyed being an army brat and all the traveling we did.

Sounds like my Dad -- but, how he was able to contact this family after so many years , I don't know. We were in Germany in the early '60s , but Dad was able to find them and we had 2 wonderful visits while stationed there. So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. We had a German couple that we-all had become very close with. I still miss her , as she would keep up with each of us -- she was like a "great aunt" to me.

OMG!! just read your comment on NIc's . My Dad also fought in North Africa and into Anzio in Italy !! I believe he told me he was in the medics at that time. Years later , when he was stationed in Germany , we were vacation in Italy and we met the family he stayed with after the war. (After the war , he rejoined the army as a cook )

**Sigh** I know you weren't that close to me and I didn't get to meet you! I can't believe you ended up at Meadow. LOL~~I have deputies that will drive down there from Smfd just for lunch, so yeah...it's a popular place. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
