Hometown is Braintree, MA. I'm a born and bred Braintree Brat! It's about 13 miles south of Boston, on the coast, about 35,000 people. It was a great place to grow up! Haven't been back in years, so it still has that 'Mayberry' feel in my memory. :)

For the Perseids, anywhere outside of the city would be great. Despite it’s popularity (mostly due to it being in summer), I’ve never been impressed by it. The Leonids and Geminids have done much better for me. If you want really dark skies, eastern NC or southern VA are good spots. But given the so-so performance, I wouldn’t travel that far just for this shower, unless you’re combining it with a normal camping trip.
And remember, it’s always better to shower with a friend. :)
