You can’t always tell what I believe by the positions I’ll defend. I like the mental challenge of arguing for either side of an argument. This also reflects my belief that rarely is there a “right” answer to any argument when two or more thoughtful, intelligent people disagree. When one or both parties are just parroting slogans or propaganda, not so much.
I’m a major fan of college sports, and will watch the pros during the playoffs. I cheer for all three triangle ACC teams, and when they play each other I just hope for an exciting game. A little trash talk is OK, as long as it’s witty and not hurtful, but I’m turned off by childish and repetitive comments.

If you look at most of the blogs they tend to get off topic, I was surprised this blog stayed on topic, minus a few whiners..well one in particular.
I'm guilty of it myself, but will be less likely to engage in the future. I miss intelligent conversation. It's hard to find people who agree on a topic, and when they disagree it's hard to find people who have the diplomacy to maintain a civil converstation, myself included sometimes. It's life I suppose.
