I support the Fair Tax - it is a just way for our government to collect taxes without the social/economic negative impact and uncertainty of the existing system. You are only taxed based on your spending/consumption, not on how much you make - you keep all your wages and only pay a national "sales" tax on new items you purchase - no more social security - medicare taxes, no "loopholes" for special interest groups - everyone pays based on what they can afford to purchase. Also makes it nearly impossible to cheat on taxes, so it is fair to all!

It dealt with the applicability of the 14th Amendment to the 2nd and my argument that Presser v. Illinois was wrongly decided & should be overturned.
The central point of the case was seeking an interpretation from the court as to the meaning of the 2nd, which must, in my opinion, be viewed in its entirety. We don't have the luxury of pretending the first half of the sentence doesn't exist. It does, and therefore must be examined when setting forth an interpretation of what the 2nd means and what rights it affords. That point was more than well addressed on both sides by numerous amici as well as the briefs filed by both litigants, so I addressed a different area of concern.

I was a teacher. My school got a new principal, and she didn't like me. She was doing all those little "needling" things to get to me resign. She was going to switch my grade level for no reason at all, and she was going to switch my year round track to one that wouldn't give me any time over the summer off. (My wife and two kids are all in a traditional caldendar schools. We'd have little or no time for a family vacation with the new schedule she was going to be giving me.)
I called her on it. I told her, "I know what you're up to, so does everyone here. I'll fight this through the proper channels if I have to."
The next day there was a parent complaint against me. I told her, "If you're going to try to destroy my reputation, then you've won. I'm done."
I can't get back into teaching and I'm trying really hard to do so.

I AM THE MOTHER OF THAT YOUNG MAN THAT WAS ARRESTED FOR LITTERING AND TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT MY SON WAS ONLY CHARGED FOR LITTERING. NOW IF THE POLICE DEPT. WOULD HAVE RESPONDED BACK TO OUR CONCERNS WHEN WE CALLED INSTEAD OF SAYING THEY NEVER HEARED FROM US IT WOULD HAVE MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE BUT HOWEVER THEY DID'NT MY SON TOLD THE TRUTH FOR WHICH HE HAS BEEN RAISED TO DO SO AND IT LANDED HIM IN JAIL THE POLICE DID NOT KNOW WHICH STUDENT HAD A BOTTLE SO IF NO ONE HAD SPOKE UP WHAT WOULD HE HAVE DONE ARRESTED THE WHOLE BUS THIS POLICE CLEARLY OVER STEPED HIS JOB HE COULD HAVE INFORMED US OF THE SITUATION AND WROTE HIM A TICKET. AND FOR THE PERSON THAT SAID MY SON WAS A WANNA BE THUG YOU REALLY NEED TO RE-THINK YOUR STATEMENT BECAUSE MY SON COMES FROM A GOOD HOME WERE HE HAS A MOTHER AND A FATHER WHICH DON'T AGREE WITH ANY NEGATIVE BEHAVIOR I ALSO HAD A DAUGHTER ON THAT SAME BUS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GLAD
