I am a retired school administrator. I obtained my doctorate in school administration from Virginia Tech in 94. Blood, sweat, tears, and divorce. But, it was worth it all. GO HOKIES!
I truly believe that if we had more love in this world; then, we could do great things for all people. I have read books and articles about most of the greatest philosophers of all-time during my college and university days. I still read about them today. These philosophers, and their thoughts have something to say about love, living, forgiving, health, wealth, friendship, nurturing, sin, and how this world will live and die.
The stuff that they have written is so true today. Just look at the state our our Country and the World today; my friends.
There are too many people today that spend too much time concentrating on materialistic things. We are trying to have too much without teaching values of the younger generation.
Just work on trying to have better health and more friends. If you have a child; then raise the child. Don't expect somone else or the schools to do your job.
It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their rear when necessary, and learn to say NO!!!!
I'm a music lover. Music makes me feel good, sad, and it brings me to the past and sometimes makes me humble. It affects my mood. It makes me remember people in my life; both past and present. Music is the greatest language of the world.
VOTE. If you don't vote, then you have no right to criticize anything pertaining to the democratic process.

A contest was held and Stull won a $5.00 prize for the cheer known as Old Hokie. Stull admits that he made up the word just to attract attention. The word has no hidden or symbolic meaning.
However, the word stuck and has been a part of Virginia Tech tradition ever since. Go Hokies!!"

Nearly 100% of the people talking about Herb are the Carolina fans that think Herb is as good as we can possibly get at State. Most State fans are tired of the Herb rhetoric. We're glad he's gone, and Amato, too. Anyone that doesn't think TOB is better than Amato is crazy!

I love listening to Jay Bilas. I think he is one of the best anaylsts out there, and I enjoy Bobby Knight as well. His basketball IQ is through the roof, and I'm amazed at how different he is as an analyst compared to the way he was as a coach. He sounds almost grandfatherly the way he sees things.
I wonder how many people will keep posting now that basketball is over. I suppose it will pick up again around the NBA draft. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out with players leaving early. I'm sure Lawson and Ellington are gone, I'm only surprised they haven't come out and said so.

It was good to hear from you; I'm glad you got in a good game of golf. Maybe you should head over to Quail Hollow and give Tiger a run for his money :-) Yes, I've been blogging the the site a bit. Things have slowed down since basketball season, but I imagine they'll heat up again around the NBA draft. People are going back and forth about John Wall these days. It does get a bit wild at times on the boards - some folks really go at each other, which can be entertaining. It got brutal one day last week. Right now, I'm pulling for the Canes. I don't know if you watch much hockey, but Tuesday's game at New Jersey was one for the record books, and not for the faint of heart. They play Boston starting Friday, and that will be a very tough series as Boston beat them convincingly all four times in the regular season. Hope you have a good weekend, and hope it includes hitting the round ball. Jeanne
