Happy "almost" weekend to you, Patsy! J is doing better. He has his good days and bad, but is hanging in there. It bugs him, tho, that he can't go out and "do" like he wants to. The upside is that now my 15 y/o can mow the lawn. :)

Sweet Patsy: Oh honey....it was 82 yesterday afternoon...and it felt sooooo good! Had 70% chance of rain today and got all of it! So hopefully I can get some planting and weeding done this weekend. You have a wonderful restful one, my friend. I will talk with you on Tuesday!

Good Sunday Morning Sweetie *HUGS* Hope you had a good morning so far!!! Matthew was excited to find the tooth fairy visited him last night *LOL* He lost his first tooth naturally. The tops were removed young because they called them preemie teeth...with all the meds they give them so young they loose their enamal and causes problems...lots of Firsts for him this week *LOL* I was just outside and beautiful...cooler and not so humid...maybe be able to open the house and let the fresh air in??? Love days like that!!!

Hey Patsy! I had today off, but my days off are spread apart now for some reason....makes it hard to rest and do stuff too. But today I picked some tomatoes that we grew here, some Roma and some Beefsteak. The Roma's are really big and the Beefsteaks are small, oh well. But I cooked the Roma's with some sweet onion, garlic and Italian seasoning, so we will have a nice spaghetti sauce later on. The Beefsteaks tomatoes taste a bit sweet, and even tho they are small, make a nice sandwich. The girls are fine. It's funny, the new stuffed animals are still fine too, that's unusual. I guess the girls aren't chewing puppies anymore, LOL. The monkey is sleeping nicely on the foot of my bed right now. Well, I'm about to have dinner and go to bed. We are fine, love you and hope you are doing fine too!!! ((((HUGS)))) Talk soon. Hope you enjoy the autumn-ish days coming, dear lady.

Good morning Patsy. I have never heard of a pineapple casserole, sounds good to me! Dad's memory is not very good at the present time, but hoping w/ new meds it will improve some. having a lot of problems with his eyes also, went to both eye Drs. had eyes dialated, dyed, etc., but could not find anything, but I KNOW, and Dad knows something just isn't right. One of them gave him some moisturizing eye drops, big deal! I feel bad for him because he just never seems to feel good. One good thing, he is no longer on diabetes meds, we still do a sugar count several times a day, but so far, so good. I am enjoying this rainy day.I have all the blinds pulled up to let some extra light in, and candles burning. Think I am going to start some soup for supper, and then do some reading and relaxing the rest of the day. I hope you have a nice day . LYMI. Janice

Very true, Patsy. My dad has been gone since 1988, my mom has been gone 3 years, my maternal grandmother who I was so very close to, has been gone 5 years in December. I have 1 brother who isn't crazy about me. He is 8 years younger than me but the greatest thing he ever did was bear a child that is precious. She just started her first year @ UVA on a full boat scholarship. She is all I have left & as sharp as a tack. I thank God for her every day. We've always been close & I am so proud of her. My husband's parents live in England & since he's a guy, he's not the greatest at staying in touch. I call them at least every 2 weeks. He has a sister in England, who just split up with her husband after 21 years, and I call her every week just to check on her & we're also Facebook friends. He has another sister that lives in New Zealand. We chat often as well. I consider his family my family. So it all works out.

God always answers our prayers; sometimes we just don't understand the road the blessings need to take to get there, and other times some of what we ask for is not in our best interest, but if we allow Him to decide what's best for us, we are never disappointed in the end. :)

Things are going pretty well for me. Even though I still do not have a full time job, things are well! I'm making the best out of things! I'm counting down the minutes til midnight because of the NCSU game and it will be my one year aniv. with the current guy I'm dating. I'm so excited!

Hey Patsy!Thanks for the note.I am back to working 3 twelve hour shifts which means I don't have much time to do anything but sleep,eat and work when the nights are together.On the other hand I have 4-5 days off in a row.I am doing fine,just busy trying to finish organizing the financial things Hank always handled.My brother did a great job of organizing the bills and more.I am taking things slow. I am looking forward to the weekend.Hopefully David second"adopted"son and Cara will come in late Saturday and stay until Monday.Michael will be off a good part of the weekend too.We may just have a family get together!

He is very much a keeper! It's the first relationship that I've been in that the guy wasn't a cheater or liar or had major 'issues' or a drug problem.. I hope to hear from someone soon about a job but I understand that with the market, it will take awhile!

I had a short work day today, which means I didn't have a lunch. I was happy, though, since I would get to go home early and be with the girls. Well, as it turned out, I got something like 5 calls on my cell phone. I keep it on vibrate while I'm working so it won't ring, but hanging in my pocket, I don't know if it vibrates eaither if I don't sit down and take a break. As it turned out, everyone was trying to let my know that the room mate, her Mom amd me were invited to have dinner with the neighbors. They are a VERY nice older couple, we help eachother with moving stuff around, hauling, garden-tending, dog nail trimming and other down-home stuff. It was so much fun to share a nice dinner and then sit around the table and talk. And I have tomorrow off, so me and the girls can enjoy some of this nice pre-autumn weather. I know I'll sleep good after such a great dinner and evening. I hope you've had a great day, too! ((((((HUGS)))))) I'll post new pics very soon, talk later!
