Today was a nice relaxing day. I slept late, then fed the gils and we played in the room some. I read for awhile and then took a really short nap. In the afternoon I decided to clean the room some, so I went out to the dollar store to see if I could find a nice little rug for a place in the room. Not only did I find a nice little rug, but I decided, since I had picked up the girls' raggedy toys earlier and put them back in their toy basket, maybe it's time for a new toy for each of them. I looked around and found the cutest stuffed leopard cub and a cute stuffed monkey with long arms and legs. They were a few dollars each and I didn't have much money, but I decided to go ahead and buy them anyway, because I thought the girls would really like them since they were a nice size. You'll never guess what! When I went to the register to pay, the toys ended up being only 1 cent each! Yes, I mean 1 penny each, I couldn't believe it. So I went back and got them a braided rawhide stick each too

Magic got ahold of a stuffed monkey that belongs to my room mate's dog a couple of months ago and she really liked it, but of course, I had to give it back since it wasn't hers. So when I saw that stuffed monkey this afternoon, I though Magic would really love to have it. Well it was so cool that both toys were only one penny each, I couldn't believe that, but when I got home I realized that the stuffed monkey had a noise maker inside its chest that made it sound like a real monkey. Magic heard the sound and thought her new baby thing was crying! So she's been fretting over that monkey and taking care of it all evening long. She won't let Savannah take it away from her, either, LOL. I don't have to be at work until 2pm tomorrow afternoon, so I think in the morning I'm going back over there and buy all of the rest of those stuffed toys, since they are only a penny. Guess somebody besides just me is looking after those precious coonhounds. ((((HUGS)))) Talk soon!

Good Morning Gods *HUGS* Hope you ae enjoying your day!!! Yes Matthew had a wonderful first day of school...though I know I should have recorded his excitement because as the months go by it will be harder and harder to get him up and going *LOL* We have been running like mad the last few days...maybe tonight a night of fishing and relaxing is in order or just laying around playing some card games. Yesterday I played catch up since I burnt up the roads Monday...got the inside work done and then tried to work in the yard until dark. Scott took the younger ones off to Karate and get school supplies Stephanie needed. UGH everyone was up and out before 8 AM this morning. I came back to all quiet *LOL*

Happy hump day, Patsy. SSDD with me. Well, not really: We took Bessie Mae to her new home yesterday afternoon. Too much to type, but in a nutshell: (She was urinating in the house, all the time). I could not deal with that. So, we found her a wonderful home. It's a trial run.............maybe it'll work.

I do miss Bessie Mae, already. Yesterday was hard, but I know it was for the best. I just could not take her urinating in the house to the degree she was! And we do have a doggie door, so she had 24/7 access to go out, anytime. She did go out to pee, but she also peed in the house, as well. On our carpeted floors, on our hardwood floors, on our COUCHES - all three of them, and she peed on our bed! So it wasn't something that happened once, twice or even thrice. It was something that happened on a fairly consistent basis AND when a dog starts peeing on FURNITURE (bed and couches), that is just unsanitary. I can shampoo the carpet and clean the hardwood, but urine soaks through material and it was just too much to deal with. I do miss her, very much, but not the urinating.

Buddy is doing better. Thank you so much for asking. He coughs rarely. He is doing really good! He might cough a couple of times a week, tops and that's just a few coughs, even then.

LOL, I told my sister the same thing you said, that I bet since Magic has protected that monkey so much that she would be a really good Mom if she ever had pups. I did go back to that dollar store today and came in with a buggy. I told the girl if those stuffed animals were still that cheap, I would buy all of them. And sure enough, it wasn't a mistake, they were marked down to move. So I came out of there with three big bags of stuffed animals, nice sized enough for the girls, and I only spent 22 cents. I couldn't believe it, 22 cents. You see, your prayers really do reach us. Finding that deal was an accident on my part, if I hadn't decided that even though I only had 12 dollars, and I was willing to spend most of it to treat my girls, I would have never known about that deal. And now they have enough NICE toys to last awhile. In fact, two of the stuffed toys, cows, were actually piggy banks, so I'm sending both of them to my sister's two grandsons for Christmas....

Now if I could just see my grandsons, that would be really cool. I haven't seen them since last Thanksgiving. There are pics of my oldest grandson in with the pics of the girls. I tou look at the pic of when I went to get Magic, you will see my oldest grandson with me. Also, there's one of him at the park with us when Savannah was a baby, but you can't see his whole face. Actually, Magic was supposed to be his puppy, and I told him I would keep her at my house for him, (since I knew his Dad wouldn't let him have her there). Anyway, I get off work late a lot, so that is why I'm on here so late usually. But I know how you like hearing about the girls, and I sure love sharing their stories, LOL. ((((((BIG HUG)))))) I can't ever thank you enough for caring so much about us!! You will never know how much we care about you too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blessed sleep, my Lady. Talk later

Happy "almost" weekend to you, Patsy! J is doing better. He has his good days and bad, but is hanging in there. It bugs him, tho, that he can't go out and "do" like he wants to. The upside is that now my 15 y/o can mow the lawn. :)

Sweet Patsy: Oh honey....it was 82 yesterday afternoon...and it felt sooooo good! Had 70% chance of rain today and got all of it! So hopefully I can get some planting and weeding done this weekend. You have a wonderful restful one, my friend. I will talk with you on Tuesday!

Good Sunday Morning Sweetie *HUGS* Hope you had a good morning so far!!! Matthew was excited to find the tooth fairy visited him last night *LOL* He lost his first tooth naturally. The tops were removed young because they called them preemie teeth...with all the meds they give them so young they loose their enamal and causes problems...lots of Firsts for him this week *LOL* I was just outside and beautiful...cooler and not so humid...maybe be able to open the house and let the fresh air in??? Love days like that!!!

Hey Patsy! I had today off, but my days off are spread apart now for some reason....makes it hard to rest and do stuff too. But today I picked some tomatoes that we grew here, some Roma and some Beefsteak. The Roma's are really big and the Beefsteaks are small, oh well. But I cooked the Roma's with some sweet onion, garlic and Italian seasoning, so we will have a nice spaghetti sauce later on. The Beefsteaks tomatoes taste a bit sweet, and even tho they are small, make a nice sandwich. The girls are fine. It's funny, the new stuffed animals are still fine too, that's unusual. I guess the girls aren't chewing puppies anymore, LOL. The monkey is sleeping nicely on the foot of my bed right now. Well, I'm about to have dinner and go to bed. We are fine, love you and hope you are doing fine too!!! ((((HUGS)))) Talk soon. Hope you enjoy the autumn-ish days coming, dear lady.

Good morning Patsy. I have never heard of a pineapple casserole, sounds good to me! Dad's memory is not very good at the present time, but hoping w/ new meds it will improve some. having a lot of problems with his eyes also, went to both eye Drs. had eyes dialated, dyed, etc., but could not find anything, but I KNOW, and Dad knows something just isn't right. One of them gave him some moisturizing eye drops, big deal! I feel bad for him because he just never seems to feel good. One good thing, he is no longer on diabetes meds, we still do a sugar count several times a day, but so far, so good. I am enjoying this rainy day.I have all the blinds pulled up to let some extra light in, and candles burning. Think I am going to start some soup for supper, and then do some reading and relaxing the rest of the day. I hope you have a nice day . LYMI. Janice

Thanks for checking. =) I am still trying to recouperate from the past couple of weeks. Trying to do some cleaning today, but finding it difficult to keep at it for more than 20 minutes at a time.
