Who are you and what did you crawl from underneath 'cause apparently you have no respect for others.
Hope you enjoy golo. There are a few you will fit right nicely in place with.
I am proud of my heritage and try not to rub anything in anyone's face. What you said was disrespectful.
You say you love everyone. That's a crock of bull.
Have a good night and a good life. I think you may need the blessings with your attitude.

**I think you may have written that backwards! The more money you make, the more child support you have to pay. I only get $100 per month in child support because my child's father make a little above minimum wage. But get this, because I'm considered middle class, if he had custody, I would have to pay him $700 a month plus cover the child on my insurance! Now thats what you call unjust LOL.**

You need to reread sir..........I was saying that as an example of what did you want people to say. I see nothing wrong if someone wants to bless things. I did not dam* people. As yes people on golo do make me feel sick sometimes when they fight so badly and demoralize others with their remarks. And yes, Angela has asked people to stop making a blog about another member to tear them down. I was asking people to show respect and sir, I have tried to show respect since I have been on here. I was raised that way................

I agree with you. And when your deferment was denied - that should have been the end of the story, rather than have it printed in the media about how unfair your duty to country is.
I applaud you in your service. And heros like you are the reason why so many are interested in what is going on. However, when a situation like this arises - it is not newsworthy.
It is a spin that does nothing more than spew hatred and once they have beaten the politicians up like they did in Viet Nam, then they turn their hatred to the soldiers. And I for one believe that it should never happen.
I will add one thing. When you signed your contract was their a stipend saying you would be deferred unless in a University?

Take it as you will, but the fact of the matter is that there are plenty of people on these boards who claim that they take the moral high ground that stab people in the back because they have a differing view.
You simply do NOT gain respect condemning someone else. PERIOD. You want that kind of respect join the Unitarians.

I think what you're arguing for is exactly what's wrong with this war. What's wrong with me telling my story? If I'm not allowed or supposed to express my opinion, then what the hell am I fighting for? If the Army doesn't want these stories to come out, then they shouldn't reactivate former soldiers who are now graduate students in journalism. The simple fact is that to 99 percent of the American public, this war is nothing more than an abstraction - just a headline in a newspaper. People put little yellow magnets on their car and say they support the troops, then they go to the mall while those who have volunteered take it in the rear. Of course I don't think this is fair. I readily admit there are tons of soldiers who have it worse than I do, but there are a couple hundred million Americans back home who are being asked to sacrifice nothing for this war, who are getting tax cuts and stimulus checks, who have the luxury of forgetting this war is even going on.

And I think it's silly to say that so many people are paying attention to what's going on. The economy is a bigger issue to most Americans than the war on terrorism. Why? Because the war only affects those who are fighting it.
You don't have to agree, and I don't expect you to. But to criticize me for telling my story is ridiculous. The story was written by another graduate student for one of his classes. If it's not newsworthy, then AP shouldn't have picked it up. But they did. I can't help that. And I'll continue to tell my stories to anyone who asks. Expression is a right I put my life on the line for, so I'm going to exercise it.

Actually, i despise anyone that puts words into my mouth, especially something as ignorant as that comment. No, my point was, people have a right to protest LEGALLY. If they are doing so LEGALLY, i pray that the equipment is not being purchased to disburse legally organized and operated protests.

Good points and while my intent was not humor I'm glad you saw some in it. I'm not sure what you mean by "not gonna happen" but my assumption is that you are saying we are not as a nation going to address the issue of oil dependency.
I still think the oil embargo was OPEC basically showing us they could bring us to our knees. Perhaps you are not old enough to recall the odd/even day rationing and gas lines of that era. It was a supply/demand issue not us trying to annoy OPEC.
Wouldn't all of us commuting in these so called matchboxes make sense while saving the SUVs for the family stuff? That in itself would cut demand significantly.
As for fuel efficiency and emissions. Surely cars in general are better at both of those but there are also countless more cars on the road that there were even 20 years ago.
Thanks

Two comments -
No I did not get any chlorine free. I did see that the caffene in one of the drinks, based on the serving size, is nearly 1200% more than a cup of coffee at 35 mg. Many doctors will agree that 5 cups of coffee a day is the max that you should take.
On the Global Warming issue - people are more interested in the alarmist attitude of Al Gore and the other whackos that have no evidence than the ones who are the stewards of the environment.
A perfect example was on the history channel last night who was saying that the permafrost on the globe keeps getting bigger. But those scientists will be discredited for junk science when they are on the front lines.
CFL's are bad - Mercury & Lead. They say trace amounts. But how many have to wind up in the landfill before it is an EPA supersite?

People are not addicted to fuel. They are addicted to their SUV's. I have an Excursion and two four cylinder trucks that I drive. The Excursion lugs 9 kids around and the two four cylinder trucks lug me around.
Until people are un-addicted to their SUV's - we can forget about energy independence. There is no IF's, AND'S or BUT's about it.

Admiral, I just wanted to clarify that we have no problem with folks like you who have a legitimate reason for parking up close, that is what those spaces are for. BTW, my Daddy had that same problem with his legs, I know it's a tough disease. My wife has it too.
The ones that we are griping about are the ones who do not deserve to park there, they are just in a hurry or lazy, or both and deprive folks like you or my Daddy from their parking space.

Backbone has nothing to do with it. You're still missing the point -- if an accusation like that is made, it doesn't matter if someone is innocent. That's one accusation that people will believe and react to. If an innocent person doesn't wind up dead, they'll at least wind up ruined -- branded falsely and most likely unemployed, with their career destroyed. And guilt has nothing to do with it.
Any person who avoids false accusations of that sort is protecting his family from financial problems. Nothing spineless or childish about that; it's accepting responsibility. And if that means sticking to my own kids in the pool rather than letting strangers "use me as a diving board" then I'm fine with it, and it doesn't affect you or society in the least. People buy insurance to protect against lawsuits that stem from false accusations -- is that spineless?
Blame the perps for society, not me. You talk like Obama.

Since you wrote posted this with my quote, I can only assume you're including me among them. If that's the case, please go back and read my entire comment. You quoted me out of context. I acknowledged the offensive nature of the word, but went on to say no one should be banned from using it. I don't smoke, either, but I don't tell other people not to.
How is what I said immature, nagging, whiney, or being a crybaby? Feel free to try to point out specific examples of any of those four characteristics in what I wrote; you won't find them.

Has everything to do with it.
"If an innocent person doesn't wind up dead, they'll at least wind up ruined -- branded falsely and most likely unemployed, with their career destroyed."
See Duke Lacrosse Case, Lost finger in Wendy's Chili case. The media has you brainwashed in being a victim.
"Any person who avoids false accusations of that sort is protecting his family from financial problems."
That is called being spineless and AVOIDING LIFE for the sake of avoiding confrontation.
"People buy insurance to protect against lawsuits that stem from false accusations -- is that spineless?"
Yes - if you are innocent - why do you need insurance? You are betting against yourself. That is a character flaw.
Bill O'reilly said it best when he was accused of buns grabbing and it wasn't true. "This woman is doing nothing more than blackmail to extort money from me because of who I am and nothing more."
I think your afraid of life. Life happens.

You control your destiny - not the perps. You think you are a perp when others touch you. You are your own victim.
"You do your thing, and I'll do mine." - Montgomery Gentry. This song says it all. In addition to one other song which says "Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah just a jacking their jaw. I don't give a darn anyway..."

Now you're psychoanalyzing me. And you're very bad at it. Where did you get that from? I unequivocably KNOW that I'm not a perp; that's not an issue. Get this straight -- I didn't do anything wrong. I'm not a perp. But I wouldn't want to be falsely accused of something. Being cautious is not a crime.
"That is called being spineless and AVOIDING LIFE for the sake of avoiding confrontation."
Please explain that intuitive leap. How am I AVOIDING LIFE by simply moving away from a kid I don't know, who's trying to crawl all over me in the pool? What, exactly, have I lost? Do be specific. If you think touching strange kids in the pool is the meaning of life, then there are bigger issues here.
"if you are innocent - why do you need insurance?"
Because the justice system fails sometimes. Ask any doctor about malpractice insurance. Sad, but true. People get punished for things they haven't done. Don't be obstinate.

Sure, the good guys won those two times, but even with Duke, look what it cost them. And they'll still go through life branded.
"Bill O'reilly said it best when he was accused of buns grabbing and it wasn't true."
He was absolutely right. That's also why he has good lawyers on retainer -- "insurance" as it were. So, thanks for arguing against your own point.
"You control your destiny - not the perps."
Most of the time, yes. But false accusations happen, because perps' past actions have brought society into a frenzy. My caution is a symptom, not the cause.
"You are your own victim."
I'm not a victim; nothing's happened to me. Coincidence?Again, all it meant is that I moved over two feet and didn't have to deal with someone's kid crawling all over me -- what did I lose?
"I think your afraid of life."
Think what you want. It makes no difference to me. Why does it make a difference to you?

Nope, you don't get off that easy. Explain yourself. Explain your pointless attacks on my character. You quoted me admitting that the word is offensive. But I wasn't complaining, I haven't asked anyone not to use it, and I don't give a dam whether it's in that movie. If you'd paid attention to my post, you might have understood that. But you didn't, because you were only there to call spiteful names. And you tell other people to grow up?
Please go back to the quote you referenced and point to anything whiney or nagging. You can't, because it's not there. Just like with this: "Has everything to do with it." Oh. Well. If you say so....
Sorry, but if you are incapable of logically backing up your claims, then move along.
"You do your thing, and I'll do mine."
Fine by me; I'm not the one attacking w/o provocation.

Then stop acting like one when someone comes within 10 feet of you. You are the one who has stated that you have the problem and you host a series of "What if's" not me.
That means that you lack the maturity that most people have. You have stated it over and over again that you are not a perp, but are afraid of defending yourself. Not me. I am not psycho analysing anyone.
I just think you need to see a psychiatrist for your problems. Because it is evident that it controls you, not you controlling it.
Thank you for playing.
