I was thinking about getting a business credit card to use online, rather than the business debit, but until I'm an LLC, I don't want my personal assets to be responsible for my business debt so needless to say...I order nothing from vendors I've not done business with in the past.

Anyhow, my folks took me there when I was a kid, which was nice. We only lived 4 hours away. That's some COLD water in that lake, tho. :)
We're shooting for Napa/San Francisco next summer, tho. Woohoo! Haven't been back there since '96, and my hubby & kids haven't ever been. I'll have to go to the doc for a bottle of anti-fear-of-flying pills, tho. I'm a white knuckle flyer, LOL...

I agree with your post on my profile, Meh! I find that it is a tad bit difficult to be... well, progressive/liberal/pro-choice/anti-war (but support the troops)/atheist/agnostic on Golo. I'm a wicked minority.
But, like you, I do come on here for a bit of interesting conversation and to "represent" (if you will) the other side of things.

I know that the rabidly Christian people that post here think that *their* religion should be in politics. I wonder how they would feel though, if it was an Orthodox Jew or an Orthodox Catholic who wanted THEM to believe their particular doctrines?
And no one has been able to answer exactly why Mrs. Palin would appeal to the Hillary crowd or the more progressive independents... I've asked. And many of the crazies also are ignoring John McCain and going ballistic over the VICE president nominee. It's utterly fascinating.
I know that my little drop-in-the-bucket blogs are not necessarily going to change someone's mind... but it might make SOME of them think!! ;0P

That was tmedlin on Palin. He is wrong. When asked what her stance was on teaching evolution and creationism, she responded that they should teach both. After the debate in which she said that, someone no doubt informed her that that was not allowed, and she hedged as tmedlin points out. But her answer was to teach both.

Why does a political election have to transform decent loving people into spiteful, hateful, name calling people. I have watched many whom I had come to respect and like partake of this behavior and shutter at what I once perceived to be a non judgemental intellegent person reduced to such immature behavior. It's truly heartbreaking.

Doe eyed has nothing to do with it. I couldn't stand the woman when yokon used to r ave about her in Alaska.(he lives there) I had had to eat crow over this woman. I got into her records and got VERY IMPRESSED. She don't mind fighting for EVERYONE.

I have on her and Obama. But I want you to know I am hanging up my political shingles. I've had enough of the backstabbing and lies on all three parties. I'm waiting for the debate and then I will make my choice form that. I want to see them one on one and see them when they talk about the issues. That will tell it all in my opinion. I thought you'd be happy to know that I need to get serious now and the joking is aside. I tlk a lot of junk in defense of others sometimes but I truyly am not sure yet. I do wish I could get inside Obama's mind to see if he's truyly planning on helpin gall the people instead of minority organizatins and that he will not stop the defense we have for the country at this time and not take money from our defense. I love my country more than myself and own needs. It is working, no one is bombing us yet.

I had those worries at first but then I realize just how old most people live in our society today especially if in good health, which I understand he is. Senator Kennedy comes to mind and he's in power of voting. Lordy..My mind was com;etely at ease after I saw McCain's 96 year old mother who is a beautiful and healthy woman. 96 and she ws walking and talking on her own and dolled up for sure. She didn't look a day over 70. Long gevity runs in families. I feel he will make it the next four years. I think Obama's tax plan will put this economy into a worse condition. I also watched the business station last night and was surprised to learn that a lot of this economy bashing is also media lies. It was stated that this past quarter the economic index showed a 3% rise, something that hadn't happen since 1992 according to them. I trust no more news.
