tyrohne: profile about tyrohne
reading list:
Invincible (Ultimate Collection 1-4) by Kirkman, Ottley and Crabtree
Repairing the Ruins; The Classical and Christian Challenge to Modern Education by Douglas Wilson (FASCINATING BOOK! not so much for the theology but for the classical focus)
Black House I finished the book. Meh... As one who managed to stagger through much of the "Gunslinger" books after the first fantastic one, it was a slightly nostalgic peek back at End World and the Beams and the Breakers and the Crimson King but not worth the investment of time... I give it a 5.

That's a little more like the upper panhandle folks talk - around Wierton - old steel meal towns where the "hoopers" are from...
In the southeastern parts from whence I hail (coal fields) we say "you fellers" ....

She is essentially a third party candidate within the GOP. If she runs, she won't just be running against the DNC (and the MSM), she will be running against the GOP.
I also think that the conventional wisdom on her will work in her favor in the primaries. Most of the early primaries are "open". With no one on the dem side to vote for, the libs will show up at the polls in droves and vote for her in the republican primary.
I hope they keep underestimating her.

(I know I'm late the party, but I'm thinking $1,000 per ounce is the new floor.)
Also, still waiting for my schedule to firm up for the 1st week in december. I'll keep you posted.

When this country was founded, it was founded by statesmen. As time went on, those statesmen were replaced by politicians (it didn't take long), but over the years, politicians have become a ruling class - and no where is that more evident than in this health care fiasco.
It isn't going to stop unless the voters can get control of their gov't again. And that isn't going to happen unless we stop automatically voting for the ruling class.
Palin has her faults, but I am becoming more and more convinced she is the best shot this country has at getting shaken up and back to where it came from. When she talks, I believe her and she is the first politician I can say that about since Ronaldus Magnus.
