Yes I had fun in the snow when I was a kid. I loved sledding and playing in it. Now it is just cold and I am old. LOL Oh well it was great watching the boys play in it. It was really their first snow. The last snow that they might have remember turned over to rain after 15 min. The snow is beautiful as long as I don't have to get in it. Hiya sweets. Yes it is melting just not fast enough for me. One more day to "play" outside in it. Will be going out in a few. The boys even cleaned their rooms in order to go outside. Just can't argue with that. LOL

tmedlin --- yukon, I didn't find anything on the "illegal warrantless wiretapping" but what I found about "torture" was interesting...he hasn't ended "enhanced interrogations" (if that's what you call torture; he's just reviewing it and wants a panel to come up with their own techniques, some will remain the same, some will be new.

Yukon- please tell tmedlin to also read the executive order that Obama also signed that "Required all U.S. personnel to follow the U.S. Army Field Manual while interrogating detainees. The manual explicitly prohibits threats, coercion, physical abuse and waterboarding, a technique that creates the sensation of drowning and has been termed a form of torture by critics."

Warm enough? LOL not in the winter time. I never get warm enough. It took for ever for me to go to sleep last night I was so cold. I was shivering under my blankets. Now that is cold. Have a good day and be careful out and about.

In case you don't get back to the antique blog, I posted you this response: Hi yukon, table sounds awesome, one word of caution however-to preserve the value all the antique buffs say do NOT refinish it as it takes away. Of course that is personal preference but.... My house is full of antiques that have been passed down for generations. I always called myself 'the keeper of the stuff' and now that my mom has passed away it is mine. Sentimental issues keep me from parting with it but I often wonder what it's all worth-bedrooms, dining room, portraits, and so much more I can't name. One day I going to hire an appraiser for the entire day to go through here and tell me what it's all worth. Even have Harpers Bazzars from gthe 1800's completely intact.....

John, check around, you actually might be pleasantly surprised what it would cost. Of course next time you're in the area you COULD just rent a truck and take it home. Long trip I know but....might end up being cheaper and you'd at least know how it was taken care of during the shipping. When I had some furniture shipped from Bali, the cost from Calif. to here was somewhere in the neighborhood of $300, but it was already packed etc. Places like Forward Air and such might be a good place to start asking for shipping prices.

Glad you enjoyed the pics..Did they make you feel warm??lol. That is really only a small portion, maybe one day I'll post some more of my trips. I think that as one ages they become more interested in where they came from. I grew up w/ these antiques and then when my grandparents died my mom got more. I was never really interested but more recently have become so. One of our ancestors actually aided Francis Marion-the Swamp Fox in the Rev. War, and I"m a card carrying member of DAR. It's really interesting to find out all the stuff. My brother is into the genealogy stuff and has it all plotted out as well. We have pics/portraits from so long ago it's amazing. But I'll save that for another day.

Hi John, WOW! That's a nice offer. I would love to go back to Belize. Went to Ambergris Caye some years back and it was awesome-I got to speak spanish and dive some great dives.Beautiful place and I Love central & south america! I'll save the info for future use-hopefully not to distant future.

Hello, John. I saw on the news that they are expecting Mt. Redoubt to erupt again soon. I have friends in Anchorage, which is only about 100 mi. away. How far away are you from there, and was your area affected by the eruption in 1989? I know you are in the northern part of Alaska.

Have you ever ran a chainsaw before> Yes my hubby has ran one before he decided that he was going to ask a guy that did it for a living Monday when he goes back to work. There isnt any good clearance for the pines that are 60-80 feet tall. there is our house and the neighbors house it could land on.

My girlfriend and I have a relationship that says if one of us goes astray, it is NOT a "deal breaker". In my work, sometimes I am gone as long as six months at a time with only a weekend or two at home. We have been together for 8 yrs. and it is not an issue so far. As far as I know it doesnt happen very often, and I have not come home to find a dude's shoes under my bed, nor have I brought home a girl and said, hey honey, we have a new roommate.

Cheating can be phone sex or Internet chat. Or is it?
