-49 F just boggles the mind.
The coldest that I’ve ever personally seen was -12 F up in Boone one winter. The worst that I’ve seen around here was -9 F. I was called out at about midnight to help with the generator at an area hospital. There were going to have a ‘rotating blackout’ scheduled by the utility company at 6:00 AM and a portable generator (large !) would not stay on-line.
I was working in the generator enclosure – with the set running – the wind from the fan was about 40 MPH. One of the hospital folks asked me if I wanted some coffee. YES !
He brought me a cup, I took a sip and sit it down. When I reached for it again it was frozen solid. And that’s only -9 F.
But as cold as I ever want to be ....

He is the biggest arrssehole on GOLO. I agree with your assessment. He calls me a fat japanese lady all the time. Says some other stuff too but I ignore his miserable presence. You will find much more happiness on GOLO if you do the same Love..

Let's see, according to my news, it's 19 degrees here. Thank god for heat pumps! I actually have a tennis match to play later today. I hope it warms up just a little between now and then.

I thought that the sledding species of dogs did in fact need to stay outside, but was making some polite Southern conversation with you!!! The malamutes & huskies, etc. are such gorgeous breeds, but I've always known that they would fare better someplace other than down here.
Have a grand week. I'm sure hoping for that snow. We need something to cover up the mud!
