Your weather reminds me of my friend in Vermont... with their almost constant wind, they get very, very cold. I've heard quite a few stories of what those kinds of temperatures can do to you from him.
Hope you have a nice fire kind of day!

But sitting on a missle silo, bored to tears and counting antelope or deer, that was boring as heck.
I had a captain on a targeting team one time, take my M-16 and shoot a deer. He and the Lt. field dressed it, put it in a huge plastic bag, tossed it into the back of that old International pickup, and on the way back in dropped it by the captain's house. I got some choice cuts in exchange for letting him use my weapon and keeping my mouth shut.
He even had a cleaning kit and spare rounds. Doing that could have gotten all of us an Article 15. Especially me, because I was to let NO one touch my weapon. lol

Thanks for the reply. It’s a question that had come to mind from time-to-time when the temperature around here drops to below about +40 ....
I gather from your response that if you could get it higher in the air, it might freeze before it hits the ground ....
Well, maybe when I was younger ....
Take care up there and stay warm ....

You are so right! I get tired of seeing the racism poking it's head in on things. I deal with it daily when people see my husband and I together. People gawk and make rude comments sometimes. It's crazy, but we laugh at their ignorance and keep it moving.
P.S. If you have some snow, please send it to Raleigh. I really need about 5 free days off from work with pay!!! Mocha and I get paid when we are out of work beyond our control!

One of the three reasons why I left New England was the snow/cold.
So I beg to differ : p

That sounds like wonderful news!!! I hope and pray it heads this way. We haven't had a good snow in a few years. I always pray that everyone is safe, harm and have enough to eat when we have storms like that. I know some people may still have to go to work no matter what, so I pray harder for those people.

You have never seen me on goLO defending Bush.

I appreciate your service as I have served myself. As a matter of fact when I was in the Army, our capstone mission was to provide engineering support to the Iraqis.

The only beef I have with the guy is the above line. I think he's a just, well intentioned, honorable man. I can't say I feel the same about his replacement. My issue with the war is that wasn't decisive enough.
