Sorry I missed meeting you - I had my school's Christmas party to go to. Hope you had a good time. Maybe next time? When are you leaving?

John, I Feel ya! I hate crowds. Gald you came, glad you went...that's the way you like it. Enjoy your frozen tundra...keep it up there.

Yes, but it was Packy's, not mine....

Thanks for the kind comments, by the way. If I am EVER in Alaska--!

Ohhhhh, you have no idea--! LOL Good night, John.

Yeah you guys started to early...by the time I got back about 8:30 or 9 Jack had Blogged and said you guys were home...I was like Huh??? Friday night and early.

Tell Jack to share that Merry Christmas card I sent with you *wink*

I am off to bed...fire is going and warm in here...GRRR crazy weather we are having...70's the last 2 days now back to freezing 32 again.

Good Night!!! *HUGS*

I sure hate we missed too but as life is full of adventures who knows-- I just may win that lottery and get that big wild country vacation yet. I still say you are in the best place to be with the country in this c*appy mess we are in. You won't have the law after you for trying to kill some animals to survive anyway as they will down in lower states.

Yep- It's cold here today. We got a lot of cars up there at the bar hop in the cam this am. They either spent the night or walked home. LOL. I got to get them drunk enough somehow to build me that snow man for my camera.

Hello big bad John. Sending you a warm NC ((((((hug))))). So glad that I got to meet you. Even if it was only for a short time. Hope to see you again some day.

John, I'm glad you're back home safely. Have a merry Christmas and we hope to see you again back down here in good ole Carolina very soon!

Hey John - I am glad you made it home safely. Maybe next year...;D

Merry Christmas to you too John! It was wonderful getting to meet you and I really enjoyed getting to sit and chart with you. I can't even imagine it being that cold. I think that I would freeze to death. Let's stay in touch.

Hey John, weather is weird around here..suppose to be 68 tomorrow. Go figure. Just messing around the house this morning, daughter came in from Greenville to help decorate the tree. Just fixed lunch. Think it's time for a nap! LOL! Have a great Sunday...

I know it'll be awhile, but I can't wait for you to come back and visit. Enjoy your cold. I'm ready for July.

Hey you. (((((hugs))))) Oh talking bout coming back already are you? I can't wait. Maybe this time I can get 2 hugs.

Hmmmm at the very least? Do tell. LOL Merry Christmas darlin.

Well then YGM darlin

Exactly, you got the media's account, which is not always accurate. They got a quote from a neighbor who shared his view of "what happened" even though he wasn't there. EMS had to retreat b/c the drunk guy brought the gun out when they were there. The police weren't coming there to see if the guy wanted to grab a beer, they were there assisting EMS b/c of the drunk idiots. At that point if they encountered the guy with the gun and he failed to follow commands they would be fine shooting him, it doesn't matter who fired first. Why would you have a gun when EMS/Police are at your residence to help? And especially why when your BAC is over .30?

"I do believe that in many cases LE personnel have been trained to defuse the situation. I wish that could have happened in this case"

They didn't have a chance to defuse it, the dude shot at them from inside the house.

Hi John -

I'll be headed up to NW PA for Christmas, so I do believe I'll be seeing plenty of snow. LOL LOL LOL

Have a wonderful day!!!

God bless.

Rev. RB

Hey John, it's 7 and I'm ready for bed! It was a long day at work. Paul says, Hi! Hope you and yours(don't know her name LOL!) have a great evening. I checked the cam..you guys having a heat wave at 6 ?? We are going to go get a load of wood this weekend....(I glad that oil dropped a little!)

Well dang I send ya mail and you don't email me back.

:::::pouting:::::

Let me just tell you this. I've wanted to move to Alaska almost my whole life. Especially after my best friend came back from living in Fairbanks for 4 years. The community and attitudes she told me about made me want it that much more.

Add to it I just love the cold ROFL

I forgive ya.

:::::blowing ya a long distance kiss:::::

WOW what a picture !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need to have a Sessy needs to get to Alaska benefit party

LOL !!!

Have a good one my friend !

Don't worry, I never believed for an instant that you did drink and drive. My only point was this - the checking of a small portion of drivers on public roadways isn't a large impedement to folks' travel. It's not all the time, nor is it often. The odds of you encountering a road checkpoint are very small. As long as both you as a driver and the police officer are on the up-and-up, you're going to be fine. It would be different if police officers were coming to your home and wanting you to complete a breathalizer test. The dividing line is the public roadway. I want cops checking at random, as to deter driving while intoxicated.

You are most welcome! I totally agree with you about the 4th Amendment being violated, I see no difference in random road blocks than searching random homes for illegal activity.......

yukon, no problem. i have some strong beliefs, and i feel that our government has overstepped their boundaries, and continues to do so on an increasing scale. my nature is to speak out about this. if it ever came down to it, i would be one of the first ones there.

about the protestors, i hear ya. i supported our operations in afghanistan all the way, but never supported the decision to go to iraq. however, i have always supported the troops. they are doing their job, and they are doing a mighty fine job of it. my saying has always been "you can support our troops without necessarily supporting the decision makers that put them there".

i wish i could have met you at the event a few weeks back, my life has just been upside down lately. anyway, i hope you have a very merry christmas, and watchout for the flying reindeer!

dayum, John...the one day I can get out to run errands, and I miss a good old fashioned golo debate (the traffic stop blog). I never got an answer from the politically correct side...If there is no reasonable cause, where do the authorities draw the line? They will think differently if it becomes personal. I hated I had to leave you out there alone with the pc/white bread crowd. Hang tuff big guy, Jack

John, you mention some very pertinent things in the roadblock blog. I have the right to remain silent, but sometimes just can't. Some people on here try to pass themselves off as being in law enforcement. I believe due to their comments, one can assume they can't really be cops. That, they must be security guards who are cops in their minds. Then again, after several encounters with such, I can assure they exist. I too am dismayed at our freedoms wafting away as we are content to think we are protected and safe. It is called a doppleganger. I think you understand. I apologize for breaking one of my rules on your blog. Never argue with a stick. Stay warm and free.

...I can't seem to get away from this 4th amendment intrusions...the 30s and early 40s in Germany are still in my mind. The same history is doomed to repeat itself if we allow the partiot act to stand as is open to a myriad of interpretations. But being that I believe that peace is not the goal but the way, I try to fight with letters to congress and editorials. But if push comes to shove, I am armed, trained, and experienced to the teeth. Our forfathers got it right in a common sense way. Legal interpretations have been construed to create a crack in the constitution, which concerns me.

"Only 5 below zero!!"

LOL, enjoy the heatwave, John. TGIF!!

Hello John!

The day is going great. I actually got off my laziness today and did something. Have a great time at your party tonight. I will be singing tonight. We have our Christmas Cantata tonight and Sunday night. I probably won't be able to talk after Sunday night. LOL

I wish you a safe and happy holiday season, with many blessings and smiles.

Hiya John. The week is going good for a Monday. It is too cold for me of course but a girl has just got to deal with it. Makes me wish I had a fireplace and some gas logs. Hope you have a freat week and Merry Christmas.
