John, Is that a volcano in AK? I tried to cam something about volcano but I couldn't get through. I heard that the oil dropping is hurting AK's oil refund program. Is that true? Do you think Sarah has changed too much since she went on the trail?

Am I correct to hear you are heading down this way for vacation? Where do you visit in NC. I think you mentioned it but I forgot. I think Angela should give you a golo meeting on them for the farthest local we have on GOLO. I think AK is farthest from us than any other member we have don't you? Thanks for the cam site. I enjoy live cams I'm even watching the squirrel you have up there. I found a way to get into some on the newminer site as well. That's where I catch the squirrels cam . Never know when you might catch nature in action. You and the family stay warm up there........

Hello John! It's always a pleasure to hear from you. I live in Benson, and only visit the Atlantic Beach area where I have a home. If you come down, I will make a point of seeing you while you're here. Carthage is not that far from me. Let me know how long you may be in Carthage. Hi John. A little better this morning. He is laying around a lot and has only eaten one muffin that I cooked this morning. Right now he and his brother are drinking milkshakes that I fixed for them. LOL. At least he is drinking something that is good for him.

I'm familiar with dial-up, and thank goodness I'm not on it any more! I'm back at the beach house to lay carpet today, but it is sure messy here with the rain this morning. Yes, next Wednesday. The office is having a Christmas luncheon at Fatz. I haven't driven since before surgery but feel certain I can make the drive that day.

John, what start time works best for you. I was think maybe 4-5 pm in case there are people who can only stop by on their way home. So far, the cheapest hotel is Fairfield, near Crabtree, 919-881-9800, for $99, sheet is expensive in Raleigh. I'll let you know about my cabbie. I'm sorta on the way, and was thinking he would get you, then me...my treat on the way.

John, Days Inn, right beside Blincos, 919-782-8650, $70 (plus tax). He said you could walk there in 30 seconds, maybe 60 seconds if you are on all fours.

Hey there Yukon! You're probably ready to break out the shorts in 45 degree weather. That's about 90 degrees warmer than Alaska, right? I see that a Friday evening event is materializing. I have tickets to see the World famous Lipizzaner Stallions at the RBC Center so I won't be able to even drop by. Plus with my kids, that's not a good option anyway. Well, if you're anywhere near the station before the week is out, let me know. You could come on by for a bit so we could meet. Let me know. Everyone seems excited to meet you! If possible I would like to have it like jackadoo said. I am not too familiar with Raleigh but do know where glenwood is but I'm not that crazy about dark time driving alone. It would give me a chance to visit and meet.

Good Wed morning to you Love! I appreciate the warm and thoughtful post you left on my page. Right now my mom isnt doing so good and I have had a lot to deal with and do which is why I havent been on. I am glad to see that I am missed. I had to take several days off from work already due to my moms illness. I have to work on Friday so I wont be able to meet and greet which is just another disappointment I have to face. Morning John! Yeah, it's a bummer I can't make it. Just too much going on with the move and all, and I am still trying to recover from my back surgery which is going to make the moving part even that much more fun! I had a multi-level spinal fusion in July that isn't really doing all that well. They think the bone graft didn't take, and they may have to do the surgery all over again.

I am going in for another epideral tomorrow morning to see if that will help cut down on the pain somewhat for awhile. We'll see what happens.

I sure hope your having a great vacation in NC John! I sure would have liked to met you while your here, but maybe I will just need to bring the wife up to Alaska one day for vacation, and we can meet you there.

Hey! I was at Eilson AFB, Fairbanks for 8yrs!! It is good to hear of someone that is there. I loved Santa Claus House in North Pole. Got divorced up there, remarried and now here in NC. I loved Alaska so much, and the people.

Sounds like you have it planned! I live a couple of hours away and I have class early in the morning (the joy, how will I stand it??)
