CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG??? 

It's just me... who, btw, really LOVES the word, "embiggen." 

I'm hit and miss online these days. We got the final word this week; Johnny's not going to be able to return to work due to physical limitations. Now that the waiting & wondering is over, we can pick up and press on. We had some plans on hold that can be started now that we know that one of us will be home full time.  We're not looking at this as a bad thing, but an opportunity!  Yay!

About: I live with my husband, 2 of my kids, and my dogs.  I have 4 children, total; three sons by birth and a daughter I married into.  My oldest (24) is stationed in the Azores, and I miss him lots, but am very proud of him!  My 17 year old lives in Nevada with his dad.  My youngest son is in high school and just nailed his learner's permit.  My *step* daughter has just entered her teen years, and is really getting the hang of it quick.  :\

Interests: I love my family, photography, writing, my doggies, cooking, reading, and crochet.  My favorite authors are Dean Koontz, Nicholas Sparks, and Stephen King.

Pets: My husband and I used to breed Papillons occasionally, as we love them, and they aren't very common in this neck of the woods.  They are wonderful dogs; so smart, agile and affectionate.  We've had our males fixed (no more litters) because sometimes it's just too hard to find good homes for them, not get attached to them, and then have to let them go. My seven are my best friends.  I don't know what I'd do without them!  Puppy therapy is the best!  We lost our Lily on 11/16/09.  We will love her forever.  She gave so much more than she received.

Likes: things that make me laugh till I cry, thunderstorms, waterfalls, the ocean, capturing people on "film" for memories' sake, and office practical jokes (you can't have too much fun at the office, can you?) 

Quirks: I am also loyal to a fault to my friends.  I'm kinda like one of those mamma lions you see on Discovery Channel.  Mess with the family and it's on. *shrug*  I can roll with it so long but then I will show my tail.  I am also nuts about spelling and grammar. They call me Grammar Queen at work and I'm the go-to girl when someone needs editing, writing, or proofing help.

Dislikes: two-faced people, users, backstabbers, walnuts, and folks that are so opinionated that yours doesn't count.  Oh...and wind. High wind...60 mph didn't seem like such a biggie back on the plains, ha ha ha...I also think that drama for the sake of drama gets old quickly.  I try to be friendly with everyone, but unsolicited attacks are pitiful, and hate to see them. 

Politics: Do I have to?  ;-) No? Ok, good, cuz I won't. :)

favorite music: i love classic rock, 90's alternative, and some of today's stuff, cuz my kids expose me to it. pink floyd, aerosmith, journey, zepplin, chili peppers, fergie, black eyed peas, and chris isaak are what you will see on my ipod and zune.

favorite movies: comedy, romance, horror :) oh! and anything pertaining to jeff dunham

favorite hobbies: crochet, cross stitch, reading, and (heaven help me) golo..

favorite tv shows: survivor, big brother, ghost hunters, dexter, californication, hell's kitchen, kitchen nightmares, and i'm a sucker for idol in the wintertime!

favorite restaurants: any sushi place, torero's in goldsboro
