about anna marie
I am a country girl, born & bred. I am married to a wonderful, loving, caring man (that just happens to bring me breakfast in bed on occassion), I have a baby boy, born on February 10 of this year and a 9-year old stepdaughter. We live on my family's farm with all of our critters.
I love animals of all kind, and as a child, I dreamed of being a vet. Until I found out that one of a vet's jobs is to euthanize animals. That's something I just couldn't do. But, my love of animals has led to our operating a private rescue for dogs and the occasional cat or "other" animal.
We currently own 2 belgian malinois (Dillon & Mateja). We also have a "slightly obese" cat named PunkinHead, a stray-turned-pet kitty (AKA dog) named Moo, a whole passel of standard and bantam chickens, 2 Bronze Turkeys, and a miniature donkey named Cotton. Oh - and 20-ish pygmy goats (I lost count) & 14 adult ducks... So - yea - it's a full house around here.
We also had to have our 5 1/2 year old boxer, Harley, put to sleep due to complications with her pregnancy/delivery. She gave birth to 4 puppies on May 2, and was put to sleep on 5/5. Only one puppy survived, and her name is Abby. If she continues to thrive and ultimately survives, she will live with us, as well. (RIP HoHo, we will miss you always. October 13, 2003 - May 5, 2009)
Davidson, our male boxer, and Harley's best friend, grieved the loss of Harley harder than any of us, and was laid to rest on Saturday, August 8. (RIP Davi, we will miss you always. October 4, 2005 - August 8, 2009, give Harley a kiss for me!)

You made some very good points. I was reading about the one lady that left her daycare chldren with her 18 yr old son and I was wondering how she got away with that. I have to ask Mrs. M if Ft Bragg has diff guidelines that we do cause our asst/subs have to be 21. I can't even use my oldest since he's not but 20, no matter he has his own restuarant he manages. Can't work for me yet though.
Pitiful, is what it is.

thrush is fairly easy to deal with, I just feel bad for the little girl. Her mouth is covered. The mom brought her in and said "I think she's been biting her tongue, I don't know what this could be". I took one look and knew exactly what it was. Doc called in the meds and she'll be all better in a day or so.
But the one that got me was the school age kid. Throwing up at school and the mom calls to say, "if I go get her, can I bring her to you?"

I have so many triggers for my migraines, that's why I have such a difficult time. It's hard to avoid them all. The weather being the most difficult. With a weather pattern like last week, I'm just doomed.
I don't know what to do with myself today. I have one home sick, one at therapy, one with his mom, ,,,it sure is quiet at my house this morning

Haley's will just about snatch your eye out and say EYE. She pulled her brother's hair and he screamed, so she screamed and now all she does is SCREAM! I am just about deaf.
I am sorry you get so sick. But have fun gnawing on those slobbery toys! Does he have teeth?
