Hey, how are you? Sure was nice to wake up in my own bed. K did an amazing job pet-sitting; nobody seemed the least bit stressed out, and everything was just like I'd left it. Might be awhile before I feel like driving any long distances again, but this trip was totally worth it. I'll talk to you after I get out of work tonight if I'm not too exhausted, LOL. Missed you and hope you're doing well. (HUG)

Your tomato plants are HUGE already! And already some little ones growing... what kind are they??

I saw three small crookneck squash growing in our garden this evening. Didn't look at the peppers that closely, but the cucumbers are blooming like crazy! The tomatoes look like they want to start blooming soon, too. Now's when the deer and rabbits are going to take over I bet. I already saw a brown thrasher bird in the middle of the garden before sunset!

What are you feeding that garden? I am so jealous. We have our first garden this year in our new house and I know the soil isn't what it should be, yet, but your's is soooo beautiful!

What kind of fertilizer, if any, do you use? Please help a novice! I would greatly appreciate it!

BTW, the zucchini blossoms are really good stuffed with cheese and fried! We had them in Italy, and all I can say is "Momma Mia!" Thanks!

One of my tomato plants has a flower on it!!

Horse poo? I knew that but had forgotten long ago! Thanks so much.

Yes, the blossoms are soooo delicious: really light tasting. Stuff them with some ricotta cheese, then give them an egg wash, then dip them in Panko bread crumbs. You can either drop them into a pan with olive oil, or a deep fryer. Oh, soooo yummy. I'm waiting on mine to bloom, I don't like the zucchini, just the blossoms!

Hey,hope you are having a good day.You always make me smile.Got some wonderful news today,I'm going to be a great grand mom if all goes well.:)

Not for sure thank she said February, all I heard was baby and I was shocked lol.Sounds like you have had a busy day.

I saw some of those streaky tomatoes yesterday at Kmart -- they looked like something out of the desert or something! Very weird looking. Wonder what they taste like?

I was walking in the yard earlier today and thought about you: the thistle feeder was FULL of goldfinches. I counted 10 -- yes, TEN at one time! I took a few pictures, so I'll try to put them up sometime tonight.

Nah, I don't think that was a Mr. Stripey that I saw. The kind I saw at Kmart looked sorta like a watermelon: http://www.peoriagardens.com/images/vegherb/WatermelonYellowDoll.jpg. The only difference from that picture is that the tomato was orange with brown/orange splotches running down the side. Very weird looking, but I can't remember what it was called!!!

That linked worked, but I didn't see any like the ones at Kmart. Geez, I wish I could remember what they were called!!! They were really strange looking...

I'm sorta wishing I had planted a couple pumpkin vines -- never done it before, but I think it would be fun and cool to watch over the next several months. I know the birds have planted some sunflowers that are already 2 feet tall!

What variety of pumpkins do you grow? (I think I remember you saying you have pumpkins...)

Good Morning from the grandma to be.Wishing you a wonderful day.

Hi there. My tomatoes are looking healthy! I might actually have fresh tomatoes to eat in a week or 2. I am so excited. This is my first year planting them.

Oh, have a great weekend!

The hummingbirds are always fun to watch. But I think I've finally got the squirrels in the backyard -- this morning there were FOUR back there, and one was on a feeder! We've only had one squirrel in the backyard over the past 4-5 years, but I have a feeling they're going to move-in and settle-down back there. Oh well!

I made a special trip by Kmart today just to see what kind of tomato plants they were that I saw. Guess what? THEY WERE GONE! I didn't see anymore of them there, so I still don't know what they were called.

I need to post my goldfinch picture from yesterday -- I think you'll like it! I think I'll do that as my Picture of the Day.

Happy Friday!

Hello Love! Things are going very well for me - hope they are for you too???

Thanks on the pic babe. FYI - am i supposed to care if I am 50 pounds heavier than Lollygagger? Golly, my old giveadam must be busted.

The caboose huh?? LOL - Was one of the a dark grey Tundra? If so, oops, there's a hole there and I go slow! Hope you've had a good week and Stephanie is holding up ok. I know it's been tough on the kids at school.

Hi Angel. :-) He seems to be doing fine today; maybe he just had a little brush with something, who knows? Have a great day!

Hey Angel, hope you are enjoying your Saturday.Sure is a nice day to be out working in your yard.Did you get any bad storms in your area last night? We had thunder and just a little rain,no big thing.Enjoy your day and weekend. ((((Hugs))))

LOL! Hope Matthew is feeling better???

I knew you would be out in the yard working to day.See I'm learning you pretty well lol.I understand the ticks are bad this year even though I haven't seen one this year not even on my cat yet.Maybe you will tan where you got to much sun today.I don't like sun burns I got sun burned real bad one time and it sure did burn and hurt.Haven't done to much today just been lazy around the house.Did get out and walked around in the yard to day and done this and that until it got so hot had to come in side.My garden is looking pretty good.Have some blooms on my squash. hope you have a good night. (((((((Hugs))))

Good Morning, how lucky you are to tan and for me I burn lol. I'm not real light skin but if I stay out in the sun my shoulders, legs will burn where they have not been looking at the sun shine that much.lol.Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday,((((((Hugs)))))

hey sweetie!! If you get a chance look at blog post

http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/5249370 I need advice here and I know you are a great gardener.

I am good.... its great to hear from you. I miss alot of my friends here, I try to get back as often as possible. I just went out and sprayed all the plants with water and took off some of the bad leaves. I think I may have had too much 7 dust on them...they look burned. I did see what looked like a tiny tiny red spider on one. I have washed them good with a little soapy water and rinsed them good. Hopefully whatever it is, will either die or get tired on me and leave :) Thanks for the help sweetie...luv ya ((HUGS))

Hey,sure is a beautiful day, thought we where going to get rain to day also, lad to see it so beautiful out side but we could sure use some rain on our garden we are having to water it it so dry here.Hope you are enjoying your Sunday as much as I'am.

Now I know why my big toe hurts...you stepped on it! LOL

No worries. No harm.

" I did see what looked like a tiny tiny red spider on one" Could that be a redbug?

How have you been? and your family?

Happy Sunday! I hope Matthew is feeling much improved today and was able to enjoy a little of this great weekend. I have found my horse manure alternative for the raspberries (altho my in-laws have horses). My next door neighbor has goats and has graciously -lol- provided us with some goat manure for the tomatoes and cukes. Says it less acidic than horse or cow and won't burn up the plants so bad. Maybe when you decide to separate them again I can sweet-talk you out of a few! Hope you have a great week!

Hope you have an awesome week and that you get some much needed rest for yourself!

Driveby heys, hugs and kisses from Viper and me. =)

And have a fantastic week! =)

Your garden is EXPLODING with growth! I spotted a couple tomatoes today, and still just a handful of squash. One or two peppers, too. Nothing like yours, though!

Very cool! I'll have to gather up some cow manure and try it. Of course, my luck would be that the manure kills everything!!

Have a great Monday!

Doing great thanks. Glad Matthew is over his sickness. My sister had it this weekend.

You have been busy! Noticed the pics. Great shots! =) I have to take a long round trip drive tomorrow to see if my surgery is still set for Thursday. I hope so. Ready to get this thing over with once and for all. Hope the rest of your week goes as well as today. (((hugs)))

Thanks! The Dr. said it is actually pretty routine. I have had 3 previous surgeries on my right ear to repair the hearing loss due to otosclerosis (causes bones in ear to disintergrate). The last one caused a hole to open up in the dura which as I was told is the sheath that surrounds the brain and holds in fluid. Now I have cerebral/spinal fluid leaking into my ear and behind the eardrum and I am almost totally deaf in that ear. To make matters worse, my hearing isn't great in the left one either, lol. Hoping he won't put this one off too, as I am ready to get this over with. Same goes here, Randy has my main email account if you want and he will be the one to contact after my surgery. =)

(((hugs)))

Hey,it sure is a small world. It would e funny if your friend son and my daughter where married it would be a small world for sure lol.I had a relaxing weekend but a busy day for a Monday, first thing this morning had to go o Raleigh and run a few errands. Now waiting for news on my sister in law.She had surgery this morning and if it does not go well we will be going to Virgina.Didn't know it was going to be major surgery until this morning just thought it was going to be simple thing. At her age just a bit worried about her even though she does not look her age or act like it.Hope your weekend went good and every one is better at your house.Know you will enjoy the awards program to night.LYMI ((((Hugs)))

Most def! I can't stand to have something in my ear, lol. Surgery is still on. He said my hearing loss is maximum now, so I am hoping this is going to do it. He said he thinks there may be scarring plus the malleus may have reattached itself to the bone. If that is the case, he will put in a new type of appliance to bypass the use of the malleus all together (he had to unattach it from the bone last time, lol). Plus he has to patch a hole below my eardrum and the one at the dura. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours and I am praying this will be the very last surgery. The pain meds his gives me doesn't really touch it for the first 4 to 5 days, and he doesn't believe in giving more than 2 to 3 days worth. *blank stare here* I will tell Viper to let you know. =)

(((hugs)))

I'm loving your pics Angel, your hummingbird photos were awesome!

I thought we were friends?

Did I get unfriended?

I think I lost some too. Very busy myself with school and work.

I hope you are well as well!

Doing good, just busy. Can't wait till my son graduates - he's got senioritise real bad...lol

How you doing?

{{{hugs}}}

Now why would I do that?

most know who I am by now. It's no big secret.

Glad the turtle story was funny. I felt a little foolish after the fact. But I just never knew that box turtles didn't swim. I grew up in the city, I guess. :P

One day I'll tell y'all about the time I went camping and thought that a bear was attacking my tent. ;)

LOL!!!

I love Bugs Bunny!! :D

Delete pictures? Unheard of -- I never delete ANY pictures!

You add as many image galleries as you'd like to, ok? It's no problem at all!

I bought another hummingbird feeder today at Ace Hardware. We've got at least 3 hummingbirds fighting over one feeder, so I figured I'd get another and hang it somewhere else in the yard to help prevent those knock-down-drag-out fights they have.

Another update! We will probably be eating squash out of the garden by this weekend -- they are a nice size already. I also saw a handful of cucumbers growing, the banana peppers are almost ready, some bell peppers are growing, and the tomatoes are starting to get bigger. Even the okra is starting to grow!

Have a great day

Good Morning, hope your day will be a good one and not as busy as they have been.((((Hugs))))

Hey,sounds like you have had a busy morning.Yellow tomatoes I love them, don't have as much acid in them as the others do.God some yellow squash out of my garden this morning, cooking them for to tonight and it want be long before we start getting cucumbers ,going to make pickles out of some of them that you put in containers and freeze.Ice cream party sounds like fun.Now you have got me wanting Ice cream lol.Have laundry in dryer need to get out just cut off.Wishing you a great afternoon . (((Hugs)))

I have God on my mind I meant got lol.

There you are getting rain and we are not lol. We only got a sprinkle, had to water garden it i so dry here,we really do need some rain it goes all around us.Guess God will send when needed.Hope Stephanie does good on the machine tomorrow so she want have to go but once a week.I fixed squash for lunch today and that was so good.Nothing like fresh vegetables out of garden.I know you have got to be tired traveling in a car all day makes me tired just thinking about it.You are a sweetie !!!
