Just wanted to stop by and say good Morning and wish you a good day.Hope all is going well for you.

Hey,it is beautiful here but windy and cool.Would you believe we turned our heat on this morning in may ?Don't remember ever having to do that in all my years lol.Guess there is a time for every thing lol.I'm glad you are having a relaxing day.Of course the butterfly's are in your yard smelling all those beautiful flowers you have.Wishing you a nice evening .((((Hugs)))

Hey, I'm getting my car serviced and am fighting boredom in the waiting room but keep getting thrown offline. Hope your day is going great. Talk to you a little later. Glad you got the sleep you needed! ((HUGS))

Hey,glad you got some much needed rest last night.I have been going to be earlier than usual for the past week or so just feel drained and tired.Don't have any plans for the weekend really, just staying home and have a cook out with my son and his family.Fixing to get out in this beautiful weather it is so nice out side.Do you have any plans for the weekend ?

Hey,hope you are having a good day.Stopping by to say hello to a sweet and wonderful friend.((((Hugs))))

With all this rain we have been getting every thing is growing and looking so beautiful.Looking forward to seeing those new pictures of your yard.I had to run and do some errands and it is hot out there.Going to get me some cold ice tea and relax before I have to cook lol.Hope your day is going great out there taking all those pictures.Love you lady ! ((((Hugs))))

I just love your garden!!!! I wish that I had a green thumb.

I am using Miracle grow on my tomatoes but they are not healthy. What else can I do?

Your garden is growing FAST! I can't believe how big those plants are already.

Our squash and cucumbers and okra and tomatoes and green peppers are all still small, but growing steadily. We added some miracle-gro last night, so maybe they'll take off growing soon.

OH! Do you have a topsy-turvy (upside down tomato planter)? Instead of buying some to try them, we made our own. Cut a hole in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, stuck a tomato plant in it, added a filter thing around the tomato plant to keep it in the hole, and filled the bucket with dirt. Trying it just to see how well they grow upside down. Those topsy-turvy things are what -- $10-20 in stores??

I'm thinking we should have planted some smaller variety tomatoes. We put Park's Whoppers in the buckets!!! I can already imagine the vines will break under the weight...

Keep posting your pictures! Take care, headlong

Just looked at your garden with all the things in our yard.Angela every thing looks just beautiful and so big.I know you have to love what you do.Wished mine looked that good.Hope you have a nice evening.LYMI.

Sorry about the name for some reason I want to call you Angela and I know better than that Angel lol.

I am sooooo jealous! Not only do you excel at gardening but at photography, too! Darn it! HUGS!

Our 5-gallon bucket tomato plants are trying to turn upwards, too! It'll be interesting to see what happens with them. I still think they're gonna get too heavy and fall out, or the limbs will start to break off. Maybe we can tie them to stakes or something to add more support.

Have a wonderful Friday!

Good Morning, hope all is going well with you.Going to be a beautiful day hope you can get out and enjoy working in your garden.Know that is what you will be doing lol.Just head from our dear friend.Wishing you a Happy Memorial day weekend.Love you !(((((Hugs)))))

Good Mornin'! I wish it were my garden! It belongs to the old man in the picture -- every single time we drive by his house, he is out working in his garden. And let me tell you, he had the cleanest, most weedless, most flourishing garden you've ever seen!

Last year, he moved (or maybe he passed away?). So now the garden just sits there, growing over with weeds.

Hey,ribs sounds good to me on the grill. There is a lot of traffic on the holidays as we well learned some years ago.If going any where we always left before the holiday traffic.Kind of worried about her this weekend.Wished she had taken the other option, just keeping her in my prayers.May go to my daughter ball game to night all depends on how hot it is.Will be cooking steaks this weekend on the grill with son and his family.Have to say they are good to me and my hubby.Wishing you a happy Memorial day.(((((Hugs)))))

Meant granddaughter lol.

Whether you're planning a trip, or staying close to home this weekend....BE SAFE and have a Happy Memorial Day!!!!!!

To the lady with the most beautiful smile in the world, have an awesome weekend my friend!!!!

Hope your daughter is ok. I am sure it is hard for her. I will never forget my senior year. 2 girls killed themselves. It was very hard to understand when you are so young.

Headlong - http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/5205015/

Hope your daughter is doing ok. So hard for teenagers to lose a friend, they all think that nothing will ever happen to them. Such a tragedy for the family and friends of this boy.

I know all the students and faculty will have difficulty dealing with this. I'm like you, the call surprised me. I remember when the twin died. My two sons are around that age and both of them knew him from school.

I know what you mean to about losing a child. For me, it's out of the natural order of things. A parent or grandparent, you kind of expect to have to go through that someday, but not one of your kids. I have friends who've been through it and I have no idea how they managed to put one foot in front of the other some days. So very sad.

I didn't get the call. Had the house phone turned off (by accident), but I am glad they called the Central students. My oldest son graduated SEAS last year and my youngest is a junior at SEAS now. Technically he should be at Central but he chose to finish at SEAS. Their best bud next door goes to Central.

You got rain??? You're only like 2 miles from me and I got not nary a drop. Gotta water tomatoes tomorrow I guess...by the way, love the pics of your yard. I know you've put a lot of work in it.

I would love some fresh raspberries. Let me know when and I'll meet up with you at the Missing Link (my bro and sis - in laws store). That would be great. I really can't remember when I've had fresh raspberries. Nothing at the grocery store comes near fresh fruit and I don't get to the farmer's market too often. My oldest son helps my nephew out every so often and they do the farmer's market but I never know ahead of time so I can't send the money with him. Niece and nephew have Brinkley farms in Northside but they do mostly veggies.

You gotta have better soil. I got red clay mostly. Does ok with veggie plants but no luck with strawberries, etc. What did you do to your soil to get them to grow so well?

That is so sad for your daughter. I am sure it is going to be very hard for her. So sorry.

Good Morning, hope all is going well with you on this beautiful Sunday morning.I know this is a sad day for Stephanie.Keeping her and all others in my prayers.LYMI (((((Hugs)))))

Happy Memorial Day!!! Sun is back out so my garden is waiting

Thank you for sharing your story,,it got me to thinking about my step-dad,who raised me since i was six. To me,he is my Dad.

Happy gardening :)

The goldfinches left for a couple of weeks, but they surely did come back strong! They're all over the backyard, and it looks like they're all over your backyard, too! Great pictures, especially the in-flight ones -- I can never manage to get any of those.

Have a great Memorial Day! Stay safe

Goldfinch, goldenfinch... we know what you mean, headlong. No worries!! :)

"People must think you and I walk around with cameras 24/7" -- I really do! LOL

Hey,thank you.I know you will do something special on this day with your family.Got email from our special friend this morning.:) Hope you have a wonderful day.LYMI (((((Hugs)))))

Scott is a busy man for sure.Always nice to get away from home for a bit.Just happy that she is enjoying her self. Not for sure yet but we may be going out of town the 5th of June as my sister in law will be having major surgery.May just wait until we hear from her daughter on how the surgery goes.We will be cooking out this afternoon also.Love you (((((Hugs))))))

I hate it when some stupid comment distracts me from what ought to be the first thing I think of... I concur, headlong. "Boy this will be 2 High Schools that will have a hard time returning tomorrow after a 3 day weekend." I must have missed the first incident you refer to, and I hate to ask, but what was it?

Why the heck would that guy call your comment stupid?

Yes, my Friend, I got your message and wrote you an email. Thanks for the kind thoughts and words.

Good Morning, just stopping by to let you know I'm thinking of Stephanie and others as they return to school today. They are all in my prayers.LYMI ((((((Hugs))))

We had a nice day yesterday, nothing real special. We had a cook out with son and his family, something we do often lol.As I was thinking about Stephanie Sure it will be a sad day for all I thought about that empty desk this morning. It will be good for all these young people to be together to comfort each other.I don't know what I do to be thanked for but what ever it is you are welcome. Love ya ! lady.(((((Hugs))))

Yes, that park is really great. That was my first trip there, but will not be my last. My sister-in-law suggested we meet on my way in and I was really impressed! I was there Monday AM around 10:30 - 11:30 AM. Have a good week!

Hey,I was wondering about our friend.Be glad when she gets home I sure do miss her.Glad to her she is safe and almost home.I want to see those tomatoes of yours,Thought mine where doing good but nothing like yours. You always have a beautiful garden, don't know how you do it,you will have to give me your secret lol.Don't know about those wings, don't think I have them yet just like helping others and being there for them when needed and some times when I'm not.You are a sweet and kind Lady.LYMI.

Hey Angel!! Just stopping by to say hello. Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend. It was nice being off work for 3 days. I loved that! (((((((((hugs)))))))

:-)

Beth

Good Morning, from reading your blog understand Stephanie had a rough day yesterday as others did as well. She is in my prayers as well as all others that knew this boy and loved him.Hope your day will be a good one going to be hot out today.(((((Hugs)))))

It is always hard for any of us to understand why things happen, young or old but there is a purpose fore every thing.I heard from our friend also, glad she is home.Sure looks like rain here and I have some errands to do.Going to get that done before the rain starts I hope.Have fun in your garden.:) ((((Hugs)))

Did you see that Queen has asked Adam Lambart to front for them? He is the first person I have ever heard that has the voice to possible try on Freddie's shoes.

I have been waiting ALL season to hear him sing a Queen song. The moment I saw his audition, I told my husband, "He needs to sing Queen." I've heard others try (sadly) and always said that band is too big for anyone to sing, they need not try. But with Adam, I've waited the entire season. When it was his turn to sing (it was a duet w/Kris Allen - poor decision) I literally got goose bumps! He was magnificent. Freddie left very big shoes to fill and I didn't think I'd ever see anyone who could fill them. With Adam, I think they are very close. He has enough respect for music that he'll respect the original songs and artists. But I think perhaps bring some new music out of that group in the process. I think it could be a great collaboration!

Hey, how are you? Sure was nice to wake up in my own bed. K did an amazing job pet-sitting; nobody seemed the least bit stressed out, and everything was just like I'd left it. Might be awhile before I feel like driving any long distances again, but this trip was totally worth it. I'll talk to you after I get out of work tonight if I'm not too exhausted, LOL. Missed you and hope you're doing well. (HUG)

Your tomato plants are HUGE already! And already some little ones growing... what kind are they??

I saw three small crookneck squash growing in our garden this evening. Didn't look at the peppers that closely, but the cucumbers are blooming like crazy! The tomatoes look like they want to start blooming soon, too. Now's when the deer and rabbits are going to take over I bet. I already saw a brown thrasher bird in the middle of the garden before sunset!

What are you feeding that garden? I am so jealous. We have our first garden this year in our new house and I know the soil isn't what it should be, yet, but your's is soooo beautiful!

What kind of fertilizer, if any, do you use? Please help a novice! I would greatly appreciate it!

BTW, the zucchini blossoms are really good stuffed with cheese and fried! We had them in Italy, and all I can say is "Momma Mia!" Thanks!

One of my tomato plants has a flower on it!!

Horse poo? I knew that but had forgotten long ago! Thanks so much.

Yes, the blossoms are soooo delicious: really light tasting. Stuff them with some ricotta cheese, then give them an egg wash, then dip them in Panko bread crumbs. You can either drop them into a pan with olive oil, or a deep fryer. Oh, soooo yummy. I'm waiting on mine to bloom, I don't like the zucchini, just the blossoms!

Hey,hope you are having a good day.You always make me smile.Got some wonderful news today,I'm going to be a great grand mom if all goes well.:)
