With all of the complaining that goes on here (some of you honestly seem incapable of doing anything else BUT complaining ...), GoLo has become depressing.
With the general trend towards the banal and inane, GoLo has become a waste of my time.
What is it about this place, which has so much promise of bringing people together to discuss ideas and learn from one another, that it brings out the worst in people instead?
You'll forgive me if I take my leave of it.

What I find humorous about his statement is that it only holds true for natural fauna in an unspoiled environment, or with mankind in situations where technology does not come into play at all (or on such a limited basis so as to be non-existant.) He completely ignores the fact that technology can totally overcome those considerations. Agriculture technology alone allows us to feed a population many times our present size without an corresponding increase in land allocation. And population dynamics? Tell that to folks living in New York City or Hong Kong, both places where without techonology there would be massive starvation and death through disease. Water? We build lakes, drill wells and can desalinate; fish can't. :)
He is simply an idiot.

However, as curious as I may be to find out what he would spew concerning those issues, I really don't care to actively find out since any discussion with him is a complete waste of time.

The simple fact that our simple friend thinks Bjorn is trying to dismiss global warming, assuming that only because I cited him as a reference, tells me that not only has he not read the book, but her probably has heard nothing about the author apart from what he quickly looked up on Google.
I tell you el cid, the guy is a lunatic fringe crock, not quite as insane as my pet Truck, but close.

Duke Hospital called and left a message. It said "Mary Smith, please call to confirm your procedure date of Monday December 10th. Call 555-5555 and ask for Debbie.
Normally, I just ignore wrong numbers, but this one sounded serious. I called and asked for Debbie to tell her that Mary Smith did into get the call. The conversation went something like this:
Me: Debbie, Mary Smith was NOT informed about her need to confirm. Someone left me the message by accident.
Debbie: OK, you say Mary Smith did not get the call.
Me: Yes
Debbie: Do you have her number?
Me: No, I do not know Mary Smith
Debbie: Humm, my records do not show a Mary Smith
Me: Well, she is having a thing done Monday, look on your confirm for Monday list. Do you see her?
Debbie: I cannot give out that information.
Me: I so not want her number!!! You want her number so you can call her and tell her to confirm!!!
Debbie: OK.
1 minute later the phone rings. Guess who???

I have been busy still fighting for my rights in the building situation. Their solution was that instead of being allowed access to this person as manager/maintenance I would have to live here with being able to have any contact with this person. Instead of having a maintenance put a light bulb in ceiling in 24 hrs I may go for weeks with n over head light. I already hurt my back having to pull out my own frig to clean behind for inspections. Usually maintenance would do that. I have none. You take care and I sure hope your wife is doing better. I won't bother you anymore but I never wish anything bad to happen to anyone.
