With all of the complaining that goes on here (some of you honestly seem incapable of doing anything else BUT complaining ...), GoLo has become depressing.
With the general trend towards the banal and inane, GoLo has become a waste of my time.
What is it about this place, which has so much promise of bringing people together to discuss ideas and learn from one another, that it brings out the worst in people instead?
You'll forgive me if I take my leave of it.

Horrific acts of violence have been demonstrated throughout the passage of time. (NO big surprise!) I am most concerned with this time in history, 2009! I abhor violence of any kind whether it is against animal, children, spouse or stranger! Your blog with explicit details of graphic violence did disturb me. I realize you may have been trying to make a point, but I didn’t see it. Unless, it is to say, that you are truly godless and don’t give a carp about others.

She also disrespected him, and showed her ignorance that he was indeed addressing her as he was supposed to address her. If she wants to be called senator, that's fine. But it was downright insulting the way she said that to him. She talked down to him like a three year old that had done something wrong. And there's nothing wrong with reporting on that, either. It showed the type of person she is.
But I don't expect you to be objective about it since she's a democrat.

I probably should have just skipped that blog, but I felt the need to add in where more info could be found. :-)
Some of those historians are the same ones who contribute to our textbooks and keep the misperceptions going. I often spot inaccuracies or biases in our series. Keeps me from getting lazy, though! :-)

If I were her, I think I would wait for some official word. An email from the boss might be scary, but he probably doesn't know doodly squat. (Neither would the benefits person at Prudential, for that matter.) Until they say they are cutting her of, she doesn't really have a cause of action - if there IS a cause of action.

Ah, but I'm not the one seated in the Oval Office as we speak, whose citizenship is being called into question.
If it was this simple, Obama could EASILY alleviate the questions about his citizenship. You excuse that by saying it would give merit to the people questioning this. But it also adds fuel to the fire when such a simple move could remove any question about his citizenship.
This is why there is such a firestorm over this. It would be so easy to put an end to it. Personally, I think he likes any distractions from his real agenda, like this healthcare junk.
