With all of the complaining that goes on here (some of you honestly seem incapable of doing anything else BUT complaining ...), GoLo has become depressing.
With the general trend towards the banal and inane, GoLo has become a waste of my time.
What is it about this place, which has so much promise of bringing people together to discuss ideas and learn from one another, that it brings out the worst in people instead?

I wish you would think about starting a golo group. It would not take much time. The groups provide a group email ability so that you could notify people when you would be posting.
I hate that your favorite debaters were not here to greet you and give you a real debate. Steve is bringing up a collectibles website - he is in all hands on deck mode with that.
There are some new members that I think you might find very worthy.
If you truly enjoy paying taxes for the greater good, then you owe us the power of your intellect, too. It is just as valuable as your money - IMHO

I'm assuming that this Equality person would not fall into that category? The tactics seem eerily familiar.
I have given up trying to figure out who is who, or who might also be who.
I thought Morsdeus might interest you, as well as Gucci Little Piggy. They both strike me as intelligent people. Sandra Carrington Smith is a delightful new member. She was born in Italy, came to America and is having two books published next year. She has a unique world view - tho she does not argue politics or religion. Kestrel and Tawny are interesting. Danriver recently went to Denmark - I am hoping that he may pop in again. You might enjoy Slick Rick. Oldschool still shows up. He started his own business and is very busy - but he is around. You remember Smorgas of Borg and his wife Sheba- also still present.

I think the "good" is actually more wide spread than the negative, it is just harder to see. On the other hand, I also believe in the Tooth Fairy...;D

We'll see what happens. I'm finding that the same problems that existed before haven't gone anywhere, and Angela doesn't seem very motivated to do anything about them.
Sadly, she's still trying to walk the same fence that I previously warned her wasn't possible. Until she does decide to take positive action, which I admit I do not believe she will do, the negative here is always going to drown out the good. I find that sad. elcid89
Couldn't agree more. I took a break for several months and people were still talking about me. I don't find it flattering and after numerous emails to Angie, nothing. I'd imagine at some point she tires of the complaining. But let it be a race issue and *poof*. Welcome back, even if only for a short while!
