I don't really consider myself liberal or conser... Okay. I'm quite liberal. But, not unreasonable.
...and yes, that's possible. It's just that life not looking like Leave it to Beaver doesn't scare me.

"Some men look at constitutions with sanctimonious reverence, and deem them like the ark of the Covenant, too sacred to be touched. They ascribe to the men of the preceding age a wisdom more than human, and suppose what they did to be beyond amendment... laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind... as that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, institutions must advance also, to keep pace with the times.... We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain forever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."
-Thomas Jefferson

Two questions: Where did you learn that? and... Who told you that?
Not looking to go back and forth; I'm just curious where people find this kind information and why they take it to heart.

So I happened to actually look at my profile this morning and found a wonderful little speech on my ignorance of Muslim issues. I quoted another post (who I can't remember) speaking of their opinion. That wasn't me. It appears you've confused someone else's opinion with my own. I always find it interesting in a merely observational way to find out who is actually telling people what, and from that, what is believed. I in no way was presenting any actual opinion on the issue of my own. Just curious where people find out what they know in general. Perhaps next time, you should thinkb4uspeak.
