Rolling Tea party to DC on Thursday Nov. 5th. For more info, go to www.rollingteaparty.com
*******************
November 14th will be a big day in Raleigh with 2 separate events:
First, starting at 11:00 at Halifax Mall in downtown Raleigh
March on Raleigh. This event is being sponsored by Freedomworks, who also sponsored the March on DC on 9-12. This will include a march, followed by the rally on Halifax Mall.
Second, at approx. 2:00
Rally Against Amnesty for Illegals
at Bicentennial Plaza which is between the museums on the block just north of the Capitol Grounds. You'll be able to leave Halifax Mall, walk across the bridge around the General Assembly building and the rally will be across the street from the front of the General Assembly building between the museums. This will last approx 2 hours.
So, make plans to attend both events. This is part of taking our country back.

You would rather all this suffering; traumatized children, broken marriages, wounded soldiers, lost soldiers - than pay $8 gallon oil?
Is it fair that only military families make the sacrifices?

2. Kuwait is a VERY rich country. The citizens pay no taxes. All children are guaranteed a colledge education, drive cars, have cell phones, etc. They have more to loose than we do. That's why most of the money the US is using while operating on a deficit (i.e. credit) is being lent by Kuwait. I expect when things are done, Kuwait will 'forgive' the debts like the US did for France in WWII. Then there is Abu Dabi, another oil rich affluent nation. Trump is putting a tower up there as we post. Plus Saudi Arabia. All very oil rich with more to lose than *anyone* if the Straight of Hormuz is compromised.
I'm not uninformed, tmed, just unconvinced - so far! :)

But there is Venezualan oil, domestic oil, the oil reserves, and heck - what was done in WWII - gas rationing!
Quick story then I GOTTA get in the shower: In Desert Storm I, Hubby was deployed. I bought a moped to save money. My 83 year old neighbor came over to see it. He said he had driven one before. I was shocked. He said in WWII there was gas rationing, and that was how a lot of people got around. The gas was going to food trucks, factories, etc. THAT's why they were the Greatest Generation - cause they weren't afraid to suc it up, and sacrifice in *every* home to support their war.
That's my point here -- kinda ---
Ya see? :)

And it's a question I want you to think about over 24 hours, let it stew a little. OK?
WHY would Iran risk the wrath of the ENTIRE oil-dependant world including India and China, then close down the Straight? That's a big investment to be just sitting on it when there really is so much oil in other places - Egypt, Alaska, Venezuela and Bolivia, Saudi, Dubais, Jordan (which pipes a lot of oil underground, too). They would be a HUGE international target, their oil would be embargoed / boycotted, they don't have the infrastructure to be self-sustaining, they would have to try and govern a hostile country the same size as them, (which they haven't the manpower or resources to do), every west-sympathizing (read 'educated') Iraqi and Iranian would leave the country.... There's no up side to invading Iraq and closing the Straight.
I think it's fear-mongering, like 2003.
Tomorrow then?

"and as long as we keep our military as strictly voluntary, I think that's the way it will be."
Sounds like the seeds of a blog.. *hint*?
Have a great Sunday. Thanks for talking to me. Keep the faith, and I hope things go well with your son and he stays safe. Bless you and all military families!
