Mornin' Tmed, dang storm knocked out my puter for the best part of the day yesterday. Thanks for the info on Gathering of Eagles. I looked up their website but when I tried to get the contact info for Cumberland County, nothing came up. I want to go and be part of the counter protest so if you can help me out with any contact info, I sure would appreciate it. One thing I'm especially curious about is, where in the world is everyone going to park? I certainly don't mind walking from a local business however, I want my vehicle to still be there when it's over.

I'll be looking for you. I too, have long red hair and a mess o' freckles. I understand that free speech is a right of this country however, I hope we drown them out.

Did GOE say why their permit was denied?

are tuesdays a good day for you to blog?

need you to go to group and vote ...thanks

then you have tuesday....i am not too concerned with what people think of what i do...i have checked this out to the best of my ability and its totally legal and above board. you know to post from group and to c/p disclaimers...that is a good idea to highlight the town.

T, I'm pretty sure that you know that I hate war, but I do so love and respect and support our people in our military.

I was going to blog this tonight. But, I couldn't help but think it should be one from you.

Even if you don't blog it, THIS guy will move you and make you proud, like it did me.

Here's the link: http://www.star-telegram.com/804/story/753969.html

Peace

Have fun tonight, Tmed! :)

Love that site, nowalf.com!! Good stuff!

How DO you do it? You were so on top of the charred remains. Sad...I give credit where credit is due.

Tmed--YOU are an asset to Golo. Even if we are at polar ends of the field.

Good Morning Tmed! It seems you were correct in your speculation about the charred remains. This is so sad, I was really hoping it wouldn't be her. Good connection on your part putting two and two together.

Check out the New Yorker's new cover page. There is a link to it on drudge.

I'm conflicted by it, myself. I find it funny and offensive at the same time.

oops. Never mind. Just saw bones blog.

Thanks that would be wonderful, also make sure if you can to blog it, so that those of us interested may help or contribute. Have a Blessed Day!

Hope you had a great weekend, have a happy monday morning!

do you smell what I do with this mccain blog???

yeah I know...folks need to run a clean campaign...may the best loser win eh?

Good morning!

Note: Convicted sex offenders NC's blog post can only be viewed by Convicted sex offenders NC's members.

i hope you meant for this blog to be public...i have reset it to public and added the disclaimers and the sheriffs number etc....good job....thanks...

did you mean for it to be public or private?

please see note in group

"The increase in American troops in Iraq had nothing to do with defeating the Iraqi insurgency and everything to do with actually talking with them"

ROFLMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there anyone out there that actually believes that???

It's like trying to reason with a 2 yr old

http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/3211290/

tmedlin: Regarding your comment on my blog entitled "The McCain Affairs", that these allegations were unsubstantiated. Apparently, I may have misunderstood you. The adulterous affairs that Senator McCain engaged in are very substantiated. I would suggest that you read an article, loosely title, "The Other Woman" written by Sharon Churcher who is a free lance, "hard-hitting" reported. She was one of the first reporters who broke the story on the physical and mental abuse that detainees suffered in the Iraq War by American soldiers.

tawny - from your own blog, regarding rumors - At the time the rumors were so widespread that, true or not, they became part of McCain's persona, impossible not to take note of."

You are exactly correct, Tmedlin! Unfortunately, I forgot to "edit" my blog. (: However, that sentence doesn't change the article by Sharon Churcher.....where the allegations were substantiated.

what allegations, that he was to blame for the end of his first marriage? He has said that, himself, for years...what is your point? His first wife forgave him, he took care of both her and the kids that were hers from a previous marriage that he adopted...and she has continued to support him, has said he's the best person for president...

good morning

"st8k - one man has 3 identities on here...can you figure out who he is? I can..."

danriverboy comes to mind...heck, all these liberals look alike to me...

TY for your pix of the counter protest. Really wish I could have been off today and been able to have been there with y'all! Dog gone it, I'm proud of the ones that went down and did this. Carry On.

those photos in the image gallery were awesome and TY for going out there to show your support for OUR men and women in uniform.

Good morning Hope you have a great thursday, just one more day to the weekend! Yeaaaaaaa lol

Thank you for reading my blog, and thank you for all that you do for the troops. We see it and appreciate it.

Hey! So its been a while. While technically I tend to be home most of the time during the day after 10 am to about 8, classes have resumed. This class is a lot harder than my first one i took first session. And more importantly, some very pretty young lady has effectively been charming away my brains over the past 2 months. I think I might be in trouble! :-)

Your point of view is so on target. They were lucky I was not there.Would have been some crime scene tape.Oh btw next time wbc comes down here. My daughter and I will be there to counter protest

tmedlin, I got your back anytime, I've said it before, and I cant say it enough, I appreciate what you do for the troops, you are a great person, it just boils my blood to have to sit here and have him call you names. What a jerk.

I know how you feel about this, elcid, or whatever you're calling yourself these days...

Are you SURE about this? Gees, that'd be great news! Can you check it out again, please?

I guess it is about oil now.... but a lot of people were pretty adamant that it wasn't about oil when we went in.

You would rather all this suffering; traumatized children, broken marriages, wounded soldiers, lost soldiers - than pay $8 gallon oil?

Is it fair that only military families make the sacrifices?

BTW -- I very much respect your answer, and your view point. This is a polite discussion, OK? :)

Hey T...no news, as they say is "good news"...usually. Heard nothing good or bad. He hasn't contacted his brother in quite a whil either, which is his usual method of passing on news of his personal wellbeing or lack thereof. I guess all is well. Thank you for asking. I hate it so much for the families affcted. Each death is tragic...so many at one time, horrendous. I am reminded when we lost all those boys in the Marine barracks bombing in Beirut. That one still shrivels my soul. 6:20 am, October 23, 1983. Death Toll; 220 Marines, 18 Navy personnel and 3 Army soldiers. Sixty Americans were injured.

1. If Iraq or Iran invades Kuwait, the whole world will unite. The invasion of Kuwait by Iraq was what motivated the multi-national force behind Dessert Storm I. We did not get that cooperation in 2003 because there was no proof indication Iraq was in violation of sactions. As you aptly put it, it was 'bull.'

2. Kuwait is a VERY rich country. The citizens pay no taxes. All children are guaranteed a colledge education, drive cars, have cell phones, etc. They have more to loose than we do. That's why most of the money the US is using while operating on a deficit (i.e. credit) is being lent by Kuwait. I expect when things are done, Kuwait will 'forgive' the debts like the US did for France in WWII. Then there is Abu Dabi, another oil rich affluent nation. Trump is putting a tower up there as we post. Plus Saudi Arabia. All very oil rich with more to lose than *anyone* if the Straight of Hormuz is compromised.

I'm not uninformed, tmed, just unconvinced - so far! :)

p.s. tmedlin - Oil has zero, *-Z-E-R-O-* to do with fueling terrorism from Southwest Asia. It's ALL about Israel, and don't fool yourself that it's not.

I had heard that, and about the Iraq government wanting to us to give them a timetable to leave. I think it's a good idea, but you probaby don't agree *smile* and that's OK.

But there is Venezualan oil, domestic oil, the oil reserves, and heck - what was done in WWII - gas rationing!

Quick story then I GOTTA get in the shower: In Desert Storm I, Hubby was deployed. I bought a moped to save money. My 83 year old neighbor came over to see it. He said he had driven one before. I was shocked. He said in WWII there was gas rationing, and that was how a lot of people got around. The gas was going to food trucks, factories, etc. THAT's why they were the Greatest Generation - cause they weren't afraid to suc it up, and sacrifice in *every* home to support their war.

That's my point here -- kinda ---

Ya see? :)

gotcha -- 'preciate the clarification! Obviously took it the other way.. duh

One more comment - cause you've been so gracious plus I know YOU have other things to do. too

And it's a question I want you to think about over 24 hours, let it stew a little. OK?

WHY would Iran risk the wrath of the ENTIRE oil-dependant world including India and China, then close down the Straight? That's a big investment to be just sitting on it when there really is so much oil in other places - Egypt, Alaska, Venezuela and Bolivia, Saudi, Dubais, Jordan (which pipes a lot of oil underground, too). They would be a HUGE international target, their oil would be embargoed / boycotted, they don't have the infrastructure to be self-sustaining, they would have to try and govern a hostile country the same size as them, (which they haven't the manpower or resources to do), every west-sympathizing (read 'educated') Iraqi and Iranian would leave the country.... There's no up side to invading Iraq and closing the Straight.

I think it's fear-mongering, like 2003.

Tomorrow then?

Can't resist --such a good point you made:

"and as long as we keep our military as strictly voluntary, I think that's the way it will be."

Sounds like the seeds of a blog.. *hint*?

Have a great Sunday. Thanks for talking to me. Keep the faith, and I hope things go well with your son and he stays safe. Bless you and all military families!

lolly, girl you should have seen me, I was crying just walking to the gate in anticipation, big ol lump in my throat! It was all I could do to take a few photos...that's grandma in the orange, mama and dad on the right..."

I can imagine!! The relief and joy must have been over whelming for all of you. You have done so much for our heroes, you are my hero, too!!
