about lightfoot3

About me

I don’t lie, and I despise hypocrisy.  I’m very patriotic and believe in following the Constitution.  I live by the Golden Rule of treating others as I would want them to treat me.

While I was born and raised as a Christian, I’ve seen the light and realize religion is a farce.  While there are some exceptions, most so-called Christians I’ve encountered are hypocrites and frauds.  That seems especially true on GOLO.  I do not believe that Vishnu, Amon-Ra, Poseidon, Thor, Jehovah, or any of the THOUSANDS of other gods are real.  They are all man-made, nothing more than fictional spooks in the sky.  Prayer doesn’t work.  Bottom line is that there is no God.  Sorry.

By the way, I’m pro-gun, pro-military, pro-Constitution, pro-death penalty, pro-democracy, and pro-“nuking” any country’s tail that messes with the United States of America.  I’m slightly left of center with my political views, mostly because of my support of the United States Constitution and the related civil/human rights.  I vote for both Democrats and Republicans.

I’m a firearm enthusiast.  Use to hunt in my youth, but no longer have a desire for it.  I do my hunting at Food Lion.  I still like shooting.  I ride motorcycles.  I’ve been riding over 20 years.  I drive a ski boat.  While I do fish every now and then, I practice catch and release.  Nothing wrong with keeping fish, I’m just too lazy to clean them.  Did enough of that in my youth.  I like to stargaze.  I know how to fly an airplane.  Once in a blue moon I dabble in poetry.  I like to camp.  Well basically, I like nature.  I love sitting on a high mountain ridge while birds of prey float on the thermals about me.

NOTE for those requesting to be friends:  I REALLY appreciate the “friend” requests.  I’m not thumbing my nose at you by not accepting.  I just don’t like those kind of features.  I prefer a totally open forum.  Besides, I get a kick out of having “no confirmed friends”.  :)

However, I have been considering it...

is there safe haven here...lol...i see the christains have finished their high holy days and are right back at each other...its like watching a boxing match where you dont care who wins just as long as everyone gets in a few good licks

“To me this is the height of hypocrisy, right up there with non-Christians judging Christians and deciding some are "real" and some are "fake". Frankly, if you don't believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ His son, and the Holy Spirit and you only post to poke at Christians then I personally think you have serious emotional and possible mental issues.” – Feisty Redneck Diva returns

This is yet another unprovoked swipe at me, and since she’ll probably just delete any post I make, I’ll address it here. I’ve never done a post to “poke at Christians”, but I have exposed some of the fake Christians out here. When someone claims to be a Christian, yet their actions/words don’t jive with the bible or Christ’s teachings, then you know they’re fake. They’re not fooling God and they’re not fooling observant GOLO readers.

Light to Strolling - She, and the other two members of her “trinity” just will not leave me alone.

My guess is that you worry them more than others. People always fear what they don't understand and refuse to learn more about, but it may be as simple as everyone is bucking for the credit in the big house just in case 'you finally see the light and change-ah your-rah eee-vil ways'. ;-)

All this talk about religion is giving me a g_d d@ mn headache.

But, Happy Monday to you, Lightfoot3. Good to see another ghost hunter on the board..

Squirrel - just sit back, relax and say: Ommmmmm. Moooooo. Ommmmm. Mooooo. QUACK! Ommmmmm. Mooooo. :-D

Hey Squirrel - didn't you have a profile access open the other day in Strolling blog?

Light = "You mean, they’re working on commission? :)" You really didn't know???? SIGH!!!! ;-)

Light = "If a bee stings me, I don’t just swat the bee, I pour gasoline on the nest and light that sucker up."

Please don't do this to honey bees because they're endangered.

Light = "But some people just can’t let go of the hatred within their hearts."

I know and have seen this VERY recently in a hit and run message post.

Light = "No, not honey bees....yellow jackets and wasps! :)"

:D

BTW - I like your Halloween bucket - had the same one myself.

HA! Light, sweetheart - I didn't say how long ago it was that I had the same bucket. ;D

I was always excited though when that bucket came up from the basement. Halloween has ALWAYS been my favorite celebrated days.

Christmas was great, but it was second to Halloween for sure. I loved horror (not gore) movies, so maybe that is why I have always loved it so much.

You didnt read all the comments because half of them were deleted and blocked. You should appreciate the logic of that.

Hey there Light. Went to my brother's, I mean your house, for Easter and their guest has been making more frequent visits. My brother has video on his cell phone of it washing the dishes. He did not want to share it as they do not want the attention. Not to mention it may make it hard to sell the house one day.

My sister in law has MS and spends a lot of time in bed. She often sees the rocking chair in her room rocking while she is laying down. She has even had it pat her back while she is going to sleep.

They went out town last summer for 10 days and forgot to water the plants before they left but when they got home, the plants were wet as if they had just been watered. My neice says there is more than one as she hears them in her closet talking sometimes.

“You didnt read all the comments because half of them were deleted and blocked. You should appreciate the logic of that.” - disgraceful

I tried to reply on your profile but I was BLOCKED because I wasn’t a “friend”. I REALLY appreciate the logic of that! :) My response is below:

What’s “funny” is that some of those complaining the loudest have also blocked and deleted comments themselves. As I said, hypocrisy runs amok out here. I personally don’t believe in such tactics, but it’s quite ironic to see someone turn the tables on those that do the same thing.

By the way, I too thought it was a shame and disgrace when people bad mouthed President Clinton.

What is the difference...I do not see where you have any friends accepted so ...Hyprocrisy works two ways??

Clinton lost his rights when he disgraced the oval office with Monica.

“What is the difference...I do not see where you have any friends accepted so ...Hyprocrisy works two ways??” - disgraceful

The DIFFERENCE is that you are currently commenting on my profile!!! I have no filters or blocks or deletes in place at all. And I certainly wouldn’t complain about others doing it if I were doing it myself.

Somehow, I knew you’d come up with an excuse for not showing President Clinton respect as Commander in Chief of the United States of America.. Just like those on the opposite side of the fence do with Bush. How about President Jimmy Carter?

he ate too many peanuts

The bigger the teeth, the more you can eat! :)

lol she has me blocked of course....

o she lied...i called her on it..now she is wiggling...funny stuff on her profile...she deleted my comments on her profile...then blocked me....ahh well...moving on.

I will do my best to get him to share. I, like you, do not lie. If I had not seen it with my eyes I would not have believed it. My brother is not one to make up stuff-he is way too busy for that.

good morning...i am not sure what to say other than that...it is amazing is it not...how the left hand can be doing one thing while the right hand is pretending to do the other...lol...are people just in total denial? you do realize the average person tells on average...of 200 lies a day? how do you get around that? mostly social lies..that doesnt make you look fat...your baby is cute..things like that..several of us had this discussion last night...a friend telling me brutal honesty is not the best way all the time...one must wonder about people who put on the perfect armour...lol..i know my faults.. people who need to scream out daily what great people they are..you know the type..lol ...i am sure

Good morning. I just went to say 'hi' to bones, saw your remarks and looked at your profile. I have seen you post numberous times and generally agree with you but I totally agree with 99% of your statement. I also hate the phonies - oh but wait - Christians don't hate!! LOL

my fifteen minutes of fame...i would like to think the little minds that made that possible lol....rolling eyes...at least i gave some other goloer a break. i have never really been one to respond to that type of thing...i would like to be a wee bit more mature than your average 5th grader...i mean isnt that what grade schoolers do? your statement..."I know God" why dont you just explain that....i figured you were raised in the church...oddly the things i didnt understand when i was 12 are the same things i dont understand today...this may shock you but at one time i was considering converting to the catholic faith...i like the saints..i think if there was a god,,,he/she would be a good delegater...i mean face it...would you listen to all this carp or delegate it to someone? lol...but then the priest ask so kindly....did i believe that the wafer and wine were the body and blood of christ....i knew this was thin ice

i just couldnt lie....i said...no...they are symbolic...who knew...it cant be symbolic...so why the devil are you voting for mccain? i just dont get that....if nothing else ...you should loook about and see who you are rubbing shoulders with..and then go..wth? lol

i am leaning toward no one...clinton is an idiot the under fire proves that...she needs to curb her imagination....obama...full of sound and fury...signifiying nothing....mccain...i cant take any more republican compassionism. lol

I wanted to say that I see your point re: the blog about the parents who chose to pray rather than seek medical treatment for their child. While I don't agree with their decision, I do think that some people are THAT devout in their religions that they act on faith in that fashion-right or wrong. And I see and understand your comments.

This is not something we hear about in the news frequently, but when we do, it raises SO many questions about freedom of religion. I wish we knew the answers, but unfortunately, I don't think there ARE answers. It's just sad all the way around.

I noticed that you made the comment that you had your private pilot's license... can you tell me what steps to take in order for me to achieve this goal? I'd LOVE to learn how to fly!

I live in Wayne County... thanks!!

You intrigue me. Sometime I would like to get into a real discussion. You have always been very courteous, but very upfront in your beliefs and your questions. I respect that. I do believe and I am a Christian, but I was raised very differently than "church" so my beliefs are a little varied.

In any case, I always enjoy seeing you chime in on a discussion b/c, as I said, you are very polite, but you raise interesting and valid questions.

o my holiness...they are tough...yea thinking it is the same as doing it...which in my book meant once you thought it you might as well do it...i think it hard to be raised in religion then leave it ...then have to deal with the people you are talking about...who havent got a clue what the bible says...much less what it means...or what i love is they claim to be christain in name but never in deed...

I don't see you as the devil. You bring up very valid points and make people think. I also have never lied on here - what's the point. There are a tremendous amount of hypocrites and I stay away from them. I also stay away from anyone who puts God's name in every sentence. I don't trust anyone that tries to jam religion down my throat. I grew up Catholic - they may explain some of my lack of faith!

F isting can be really fun. Find a partner who is really into the kinkier side of things and you will see... I would suggest you use Crisco or Wesson Oil your first time out.

Have a great day!!!

I would guess that we had perhaps similar upbringing with regard to religion. My family prayed, talked about religion and I was raised a Christian. But we didn't attend church regularly and when I had questions, my dad would tell me the answers were in the Bible. Read it myself and find the answers, don't rely on someone else to give me their interpretation. So I did. I also had 1 relative who basically crammed religion down my throat. Needless to say, it made me resist and rebel. I don't like someone who pushes religion.

I was encouraged to visit various churches/denominations. I've grown to have my beliefs, and they are very strong, but they are varied. I enjoy attending church, but I don't feel the "need" to do so to prove my beliefs. I've seen too many church-goers whom I feel are insincere.

have you looked at that "why dont god heal amputees" site?

Og like lightfoot. Lightfoot know how to sneak up on animals. Og and lightfoot go out one day and sneak up on dinosaur. Go dinosaur tipping. Much fun.

If you are a reader...please check out...The Case for Christ...by Stroebel. I think you will find it interesting reading. My daughter bought it and I am going to read it after her.

Let me read the book first.

i cant take it anymore...lol...i just cant..the same people who block and deleting are complaining about it...i swear....is it me..or them...i am gonna vote them....hows about you

i never could figure out why profiles would go private then become public again....they do this to talk about other goloers what a hoot...what fun is that....i guess email doesnt suit them...there was a gun blog yesterday where the blogger admits not checking any of the facts he posted...yet the conservatives ranted on....how good the blog was...i just had to wonder about that. you can never underestimate conservative fear....the ussc has just reaffirmed 2nd adm rights yet they go on and on about it...

What kind of motocycle do you drive?

So....you feel the need....the NEED for speed huh?

I bought hubby a new 2005 Harley Sportster a few ago. I really enjoy riding it. We do not get alot of opportunity to ride tho...because the kids being small...I definetely take advantage of the summer and vacation bible school...That is when we usually ride. :D

I do not see how people ride those things on long trips...we can ride it for 30 minutes and it takes me the rest of the night to walk right again, LOL

Thanks! Do you remember what I was referring to? Don't know if he's done it lately, but he used to speak out against women wearing pants (as opposed to dresses).

It wasnt too bad...If I am right and remember good enough...it was less than $10K financed.

btw: I wouldnt have pegged you for a handy man like that either! :)

my daughter's boyfriend has a red and white crotch rocket type bike...(ugh) he buys them fixes bikes and sells them...if you want I can tell him to keep an eye out. He goes to bike auctions and buys them and resells them.

He lives in Raleigh and the last one at the beach area. He gets them for a steal...

haha about the hooping and hollering...

I still get whistles, hehe

I'm confused....how old is too old to look good on a bike? haha

I think I remember you saying you were a tall fellow. That wouldnt be hard to spot...just look for the guy with his knees under the handles. LOL

Hey...What year Shadow are you wanting. I spoke to him and he has alot of contacts that has them...

Thank you for your comment on my truly tasteless post. You are maybe one of the VERY few that saw the point I was trying to make in a light-hearted way without assuming that I was trying to be rude, which I wasn't.

In complete honesty, I did not realize how many people would not see the joke for it's simplicity as all I was trying to do was point out the ridiculousness in name-calling that seems to be prevalent here. There was no malice it, whether people choose to believe that or not.

It simply proves that I am very thankful for having the ability to speak my opinion.
