About me
I don’t lie, and I despise hypocrisy. I’m very patriotic and believe in following the Constitution. I live by the Golden Rule of treating others as I would want them to treat me.
While I was born and raised as a Christian, I’ve seen the light and realize religion is a farce. While there are some exceptions, most so-called Christians I’ve encountered are hypocrites and frauds. That seems especially true on GOLO. I do not believe that Vishnu, Amon-Ra, Poseidon, Thor, Jehovah, or any of the THOUSANDS of other gods are real. They are all man-made, nothing more than fictional spooks in the sky. Prayer doesn’t work. Bottom line is that there is no God. Sorry.
By the way, I’m pro-gun, pro-military, pro-Constitution, pro-death penalty, pro-democracy, and pro-“nuking” any country’s tail that messes with the United States of America. I’m slightly left of center with my political views, mostly because of my support of the United States Constitution and the related civil/human rights. I vote for both Democrats and Republicans.
I’m a firearm enthusiast. Use to hunt in my youth, but no longer have a desire for it. I do my hunting at Food Lion. I still like shooting. I ride motorcycles. I’ve been riding over 20 years. I drive a ski boat. While I do fish every now and then, I practice catch and release. Nothing wrong with keeping fish, I’m just too lazy to clean them. Did enough of that in my youth. I like to stargaze. I know how to fly an airplane. Once in a blue moon I dabble in poetry. I like to camp. Well basically, I like nature. I love sitting on a high mountain ridge while birds of prey float on the thermals about me.
NOTE for those requesting to be friends: I REALLY appreciate the “friend” requests. I’m not thumbing my nose at you by not accepting. I just don’t like those kind of features. I prefer a totally open forum. Besides, I get a kick out of having “no confirmed friends”. :)
However, I have been considering it...

One of my cats (nignog) likes to put the lizzards after she kills them under my bathroom rub mat. This was after I step all over the rug/mat and I go to wash or sweep the floor, I have fermented lizzard to scrape up off the floor.
:)
GOTA love em!

Oh yeh........ I have a picture I took once when I lifted the bathroom area rug and found 2 dried out stuck to the floor fermented lizzards.
Its like the cat thrives on doing that! Caught her the other night trying to put a rubber band under there. She is a weird one for sure.
Cats are a trip for sure! I could imagine all the fun yours has in your garage!
I jus hope mine dont find that gigantic mole that I tossed out last night.
My luck its waiting for me at the front door.

“I called someone a crybaby and it hurt his feelings...” – tmedlin
Yeah, right…it was MY feelings that were hurt (I say sarcastically). Yet when I gave this nasty person a taste of their own medicine:
“I DID report it as abuse” – tmedlin
Hypocrisy...it’s not just for breakfast any more.

But you’re right about the “back up their faith” comment. People can explain WHY they have faith, but would be hard pressed to prove their faith. What I want them to do is not only talk the talk, but actually walk the walk. I need to re-word that section to clarify.

I would have to also say that hypocrites are not limited to the religions, as there seem to be quite a few without it. The best defense is to recognize them in any guise, and confront it there. No set group holds a monopoly on it. I for one am comfortable in what I believe about life and don't think I should be the one to tell them how to live theirs. To try to tell them they are not right in theirs would seem to make me a bigger one.

Frankly, I see you as one with a lot of questions, not one who is out to disprove anything. I'll recommend a book to you: "Jesus Asked: What He Really Wanted To Know" by Conrad Gempf. Not a book of answers, but one of a lot of questions. Gempf points out that Jesus more often than not answered a question with a more profound question.
I take that to mean that, from a Christian perspective, we are SUPPOSED to ask a heck of a lot of questions. :-)

Once again (hello, is this thing on?) why didn’t King Hezekiah directly speak to God when he asked for his miracle? Hmmm? And again, read the bible, then get back to me. It’s hard to have a discussion on it when you don’t know the scripture.
My blog was a vehicle in which to PROVE God, not try to disprove Him, despite what your ramblings in your new blog try to imply. While I don’t believe in God, my blog didn’t say that. It said prove it to me, just like King Hezekiah. I can cite other scripture if you’re having a problem with this one, but it’s the most clear. There’s even one in which God did a miracle SOLEY to show non-believers that He was the one true God.
I’m sorry if your god is no where to be found, but that’s not a reason to be mad at me. Maybe if you had the faith of a mustard seed He would show up!

Exactly! I’m asking questions and saying show me. Show me like they did in the bible. Convince me like they did in the bible. Bring me over to your side. But with all the pulling of hair and gnashing of teeth, you’d think I’d just cast all these “Christians” down to hell. :)

As stated in my first blog, “spook in the sky” is my line. However, contrary to the false allegation, I don’t recall calling people ignorant for believing in a spook in the sky. This is a lie fabricated by our resident hate monger. And apparently the company she keeps is complicit in her appalling behavior.

Want to see the TRUE “height of hypocrisy”, to borrow your phrase? Then take a look in the mirror. YOU post on my blog. YOU post on my profile. YOU even start up another blog to counter and misrepresent my blog. Yet when I post on yours, even ask you a simple question, you DELETE my comments. You want YOUR voice heard on my site, yet you silence my voice on yours. Now THAT is classic hypocrisy! Do read the bible sometime instead of just thumping it. Jesus had some choice words for hypocrites.
