about lightfoot3
About me
I don’t lie, and I despise hypocrisy. I’m very patriotic and believe in following the Constitution. I live by the Golden Rule of treating others as I would want them to treat me.
While I was born and raised as a Christian, I’ve seen the light and realize religion is a farce. While there are some exceptions, most so-called Christians I’ve encountered are hypocrites and frauds. That seems especially true on GOLO. I do not believe that Vishnu, Amon-Ra, Poseidon, Thor, Jehovah, or any of the THOUSANDS of other gods are real. They are all man-made, nothing more than fictional spooks in the sky. Prayer doesn’t work. Bottom line is that there is no God. Sorry.
By the way, I’m pro-gun, pro-military, pro-Constitution, pro-death penalty, pro-democracy, and pro-“nuking” any country’s tail that messes with the United States of America. I’m slightly left of center with my political views, mostly because of my support of the United States Constitution and the related civil/human rights. I vote for both Democrats and Republicans.
I’m a firearm enthusiast. Use to hunt in my youth, but no longer have a desire for it. I do my hunting at Food Lion. I still like shooting. I ride motorcycles. I’ve been riding over 20 years. I drive a ski boat. While I do fish every now and then, I practice catch and release. Nothing wrong with keeping fish, I’m just too lazy to clean them. Did enough of that in my youth. I like to stargaze. I know how to fly an airplane. Once in a blue moon I dabble in poetry. I like to camp. Well basically, I like nature. I love sitting on a high mountain ridge while birds of prey float on the thermals about me.
NOTE for those requesting to be friends: I REALLY appreciate the “friend” requests. I’m not thumbing my nose at you by not accepting. I just don’t like those kind of features. I prefer a totally open forum. Besides, I get a kick out of having “no confirmed friends”. :)
However, I have been considering it...

You are wrong to judge people as haters. i personally think marriage should be between a woman and a man (since I can't find any where in previous life that it wasn't), but I do not hate gays. i have gay relatives and love them just as much. I just think they need to call it unions or another name and allow the union to take place also giving all legal rights as heterosexuals.

I’m still able to post. :)
I don’t think you’ve done anything to be blocked, but Old Rebel can have an itchy trigger finger. :)
Personally, I think they are confusing Letterman’s joke with partisanship and hypocrisy. I can’t stand Letterman, but common sense says the joke was about Bristol, EVEN if she wasn’t at the actual game. Oh well, some on here still believe Obama doesn’t know how many states are in the US because of that one slip up with his numbers. You can’t really argue against non-thinking.

Sometimes I do that when I think the blog has died. I post it on the blog for anyone else that might come along, and on your blog in case you don't make it back to the original blog.
You can always delete any comment from me. I don't get offended by that. I clean up my profile posts once in a while, too.

Boy, are you in error. I didn't care one whit about anything Gandie or Kim ever said about me. My only concern involved the fact that they were literally making hundreds of posts a day at times, harping on the exact same thing, in dozens of blogs that I was not even involved in. Their behavior was disruptive to the flow of conversation and that is what kept getting them booted. Not what they said, but how often they were saying it, especially totally out of context.
I actually thought most of what they said was funny in the sense that I enjoy watching drunks self-destruct under the influence of their own vices.

Conversely, we experience the flipside of this coin; we have to conceal our non-belief from some to avoid discrimination from friends and co-workers. That's quite frustrating as well.
Christians don't have this problem in today's world. Their beliefs are still seen as virtuous, and professing faith among the right crowd can lead to promising social and business contacts. Not so for non-believers. One of my oldest friends (who frequently contracted me to work on his computer networks) stopped calling me completely after a casual conversation where he realized I was no longer a Christian. Hit me in the heart and the pocketbook at the same time!
The blogosphere is my only outlet for frank discussion on these topics. I might have the guts to do it if it were just me - but I have a family to consider.

What? After bashing him all over the place? After saying a vote for him is a vote for illegal immigrants and all that other garbage you spewed? I guess hypocrisy isn’t just for breakfast any more!
