about lightfoot3

About me

I don’t lie, and I despise hypocrisy.  I’m very patriotic and believe in following the Constitution.  I live by the Golden Rule of treating others as I would want them to treat me.

While I was born and raised as a Christian, I’ve seen the light and realize religion is a farce.  While there are some exceptions, most so-called Christians I’ve encountered are hypocrites and frauds.  That seems especially true on GOLO.  I do not believe that Vishnu, Amon-Ra, Poseidon, Thor, Jehovah, or any of the THOUSANDS of other gods are real.  They are all man-made, nothing more than fictional spooks in the sky.  Prayer doesn’t work.  Bottom line is that there is no God.  Sorry.

By the way, I’m pro-gun, pro-military, pro-Constitution, pro-death penalty, pro-democracy, and pro-“nuking” any country’s tail that messes with the United States of America.  I’m slightly left of center with my political views, mostly because of my support of the United States Constitution and the related civil/human rights.  I vote for both Democrats and Republicans.

I’m a firearm enthusiast.  Use to hunt in my youth, but no longer have a desire for it.  I do my hunting at Food Lion.  I still like shooting.  I ride motorcycles.  I’ve been riding over 20 years.  I drive a ski boat.  While I do fish every now and then, I practice catch and release.  Nothing wrong with keeping fish, I’m just too lazy to clean them.  Did enough of that in my youth.  I like to stargaze.  I know how to fly an airplane.  Once in a blue moon I dabble in poetry.  I like to camp.  Well basically, I like nature.  I love sitting on a high mountain ridge while birds of prey float on the thermals about me.

NOTE for those requesting to be friends:  I REALLY appreciate the “friend” requests.  I’m not thumbing my nose at you by not accepting.  I just don’t like those kind of features.  I prefer a totally open forum.  Besides, I get a kick out of having “no confirmed friends”.  :)

However, I have been considering it...

Cool info on the subs. I can imagine it'd be a cramped life. I'm pretty claustrophobic now after getting caught in a tight spot (literally) a few years back. Still affected even now. patriot Point is on my list of places to see there in Charlestown hopefully this month. TY for your years of service.

I checked into it and the increases are about .40 to .80 per stick with the tax hike. So you shouldn't see to big of an impact from that standpoint. Now as far as the manufacturers go...they can raise the prices and say "the tax burded is causing us to raise prices."

Mornin'...Not to be argumentative, and not to disturb the present era of goodwill...Since you were raised in a Christian enviroment, know the Bible as well you do, are aware of the theological in's and out's of Christianity, why ask questions like ..." For those that praise God on the good outcomes, I’d like to hear more about what they think God’s doing during the bad outcomes." Itg would seem to more you already know The Answer and are just trying to stoke the fire for a little more heat than Light. If I'm wrong, tell me. I'll try to handle it but it does seem like you just can't let something go.If you don't believe, what does it matter?Just be happy and enjoy the goodness of the life you have without the drama of being involved in something you don't believe in?I don't realy understand the compulsion to ask some things if you already know The Answer. It's kind of like me going to an atheist (another one) and asking things that I already know how they'll answer. What's the poin

" Once, the class teacher (preacher’s wife) was telling us about an article she read about some foreign mining group dug so far down they heard the people of hell screaming and crying, and abandoned the mine. I laughed out loud. She glared at me because she apparently believed this National Enquirer type story." I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes! I plan on doing an article soon about this very thing. Cheers, and have a great weekend.

Dude, I should have read your profile before I clicked on the let's be friends thingy. Sorry! I like that feature b/c it helps me see when folks have posted new blogs w/o having to click on their profile. (Yeah, I'm a bit lazy.)

I appreciate your explanation. As for you pointing out where you're wrong and I think you're right, that's just not to be. Not in the matters of Faith. IMHO there is an Enlightenment, where some "sense" a certain to thing and there is no explanation to base it other than Faith. You know of the verses of Faith, of things hoped for yet not seen. I base my own Faith on that. It would be a much simpler Faith, much easier to share if it were a concrete thing than one could place their hands on and say, "See, thus this is something you can pick up and hold in your hands, something you can physically feel and see." But I don't think Christianity was ever meant to be a Faith based on the physical. And I believe more damage is done to the Kingdom by those who think they do right, and by those who pretend to walk in the Light than by anything an atheist or a believer in any other religion can do. I see you have a head knowledge of the Word, and I wouldn't presume to tell you what you already know.

Typo alert: LOL For real "As for ( ME) pointing out where you're wrong and I think (I'm) right, that's just not to be.

Last time I was in George's it wasn't for tobacco products but for an apratus. LOL That was many, many moons ago. I've gotten some really good deals off of the internet when I was a regular smoker. I've pretty much given it up all together but when I do enjoy a good gar I'll hit SF or order a 5 pack from JR's.

I need you back in the 2nd amendment blog, I'm getting tag teamed. LOL

I firmly believe that danriverboy is the sniveling whinny azz individual curled up in the fetal position crying for help when anything goes wrong. LOL

But thor is the god of thunder. J/K

"I wonder if there’s a subject where I also lose my mind? :)"

I wouldn't say lose your mind but definately adiment about. LOL

"Does anyone know what caused his death?"

This I do not know nor do know that anyone knows for sure. I do know he was in a bad car wreck a while back and suffered quite a bit of injuries. Not sure if any of them are related or not.

Yeah, I seen that too. I was told something along the lines you mentioned but don't know for sure.

I agree completely. I've been blocked now. I have to say, that tantrum she threw was awesome. I'm STILL laughing at her. But anyway...back to work.

Have a good one! :)

you may have posted it on the wrong blog...BUT...I thought it was funny fer dayz!

I guess they didn’t take time to read the 10 Commandments before doing the script. :)------I agree with you on that one :) Duke

G'Mornin', LF. Yup, that's me. We shoot about every sunday but you're right, it's getting pretty pricey. And as for target shooting, it's difficult to even find ammo right now. Seems lots of folks are stockpiling.

Visit to Southport was great and the weather co-operated totally. Was a little cool in the cottage last night though. :) I loved it.

LF...I think that was Hurricane David...but I'm not sure. I can recall The Loop there. And the dunes. A lot different on that end now.

I give it about 5 minutes because you are called names on your blog. You are gonna be called (not necessarily in this order)

stupid

ignorant

moronic

and there is another common one a certain person uses that I can't think of. Wait for it, it is coming. It is 12.12PM....

Hey, thanks for the comments on my last blog. What you said really lines up with the point I was trying to make in the blog and helped others to see that there are on both sides who are willing to come to the table with an open heart and a respectful attitude. You rock! Take care!!

The big secret about religion?

It's all horse fritters about Money...The god with the most money wins.

"The question raised by this blog was simple. For those that are so sure of the mind of God during good events, tell me about the mind of God during bad events. From the responses, mentor’s assessment was spot on: “Countin' the hits....ignorin' the misses...”."

Ah, but there are no misses. Just events that you think you can PROJECT as misses.

And for an atheist, you sure have a nice, shiny halo over your head as you pretend you are really looking for answers, when in reality, it is clear to anyone reading your posts and blogs that you just want to take shots at religion. Please don't pretend otherwise. You insult our intelligence.

“Ah, but there are no misses. Just events that you think you can PROJECT as misses.” - TruthBKnown Returns

I understand that rationalization that believers do. My question of “where was God” was more for those that assign specific credit to God for the good things, yet refuse to consider the same for the bad things.

“shiny halo over your head as you pretend you are really looking for answers” - TruthBKnown Returns

My questions and discussions are sincere, despite your attacks and nastiness and unwillingness to accept them, or provide discussion. For example, I’ve challenged your notion that God can’t show Himself with concrete biblical examples of how you are mistaken, yet you refuse to acknowledge it because it shatters your agenda.

“you just want to take shots at religion.” – TruthBKnown Returns

Incorrect. I do take shots at Thor, and the other sky spirits that people believe in, but not specifically at any particular religion. You’ve got me confused with someone else. I take shots at frauds. I also will take shots at those that attack me.

Lightfoot3 I enjoy reading your comments even tho I usually try to stay out of the religious fray. That blog by that rev person really got my feathers up tho. Who the hell is she? She erased every single comment that she didnt approve of. I guess I am supposed to shut up and live and let live while others want free reign to spout their views. Very well. I would rather not converse with the mentally deranged anyway.

Gesundheit,

Rev Sandlapper

lol!!!

Happy Humperz Day!

…and “Happy” Tax Day!

Oh dear, I had forgot about that!

All right dude I am doing it... I am going to dare the GOLO Gods!!

I saw Kelly Pickler this season on Idol and I forgot how dumb this girl was... In fact I think she has got dumber. She looks like she has spent a lot and I mean a lot on her appearance, but you can't buy IQ points.

So I am going to have an anti-Kelly Pickler blog during the day tomorrow.

“They had good reason to be afraid, to be VERY afraid.” – tmedlin

She’s talking about Democrats being afraid of the Tea Bagger parties that are protesting the Democratic President. This is the same loon that was saying how all the Democrats were afraid and would be crying after the November 2008 election results. How’d that turn out?

The Tea Baggers can protest Democratic President Obama all they want, but he’s in office until at least 2012. Then they can replace him with whatever Republican they want.

http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/4966816/

I did it!!!

From: http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/4967295

Our resident loon doesn’t have an original thought in that godless, hateful, lying, hypocritical spiteful head of hers. Every little term she uses, she’s stolen from someone else. Now she’s started using my “resident” term:

“BTW, when was the last time you saw me post a blog about either of our genius gubment workers, or our resident atheist bigot, or our ACLU attorney/economics student/veterinarian or his latest incarnation?” – resident loon, tmedlin

Just what am I a bigot on? Yet another lie from a known and proven liar.

But she is cute. I think she should try some porn.

Ha! I can hear the dialouge now, "I ain't eatin' no noodly stuff! That looks like calooomareee!"

Thankfully, all NC girls aren't that dumb. ;)

Gucci

I just reread that, and it sounds oh so wrong. *blush*

She really does have issues. I agree, I don't think I have ever seen one person so bitter and full of hatred. Not sure why. But that is her problem. And it is a real problem.

From: http://www.wral.com/golo/profile/1731571

tmedlin seems to have copied and pasted one of morsdeus’ comments on her profile. This is something she has vigorously attacked me for doing, claiming it was a sign I have problems, etc. I know she’s the poster child for hypocrisy, but I don’t think she can get much more blatant than this. What a total loon!!!

"Throughout centuries, war has not beed considered murder. By saying so, you are saying that the men and women who have bled and died for you are murderers. Do you really believe that?"

Sure do. Murder is the killing of a human being with intent. I'm not saying that soldiers are inherently bad, but killing someone intentionally is indeed murder, by definition. morsdeus GOLO member since January 16, 2009 April 17, 2009 9:25 a.m. Report abuse

"But I have started thinking about another 9mm autoloader."

Easily concealed - just like a domestic terorist would want.

Hmmmmm - better dye your hair or something.

Wouldn't want you to end up in a FEMA camp....but I'll see ya there.

We’ve got little children being raped, murdered, and cast aside, and the poor “Christians” on GOLO have the nerve to question God about their minor, mundane problems.

Lightfoot,

I'm in Dunn NC. Seriously would really enjoy meeting you. Your "I like" list is much like mine. We don't have to talk religion. I wand even bring my "sword."

"If they say, “That fellow worships the ground she walks on”, is the ground his real god?"

Nice way to duck the question. He had a very good point. Hitler in his later years was NOT a Christian, didn't pretend to be, didn't play one on TV. It's ludicrous to insinuate that "Hitler was a Christian" without further qualifying what you mean by that. That statement alone, when read or heard by someone not involved in this conversation, would be led to believe that he was a Bible-thumping man who believed while doing all the evil things he did. That is not the case. He was a Christian as a child and YOUNG man. He shed that in his adult life. It's not even up for debate. That has been clearly shown in this and another blog.

This is my last post on this subject. Everyone on here knows that to be the truth. The anti-Christians and atheists are just having a laugh as they perceive that we're struggling to prove what they already know.

Hitler was not a Christian. Period.

“Nice way to duck the question.” – TruthBKnown

I wasn’t ducking the question but rather giving a counter argument to his idea that Hitler considered Germany a deity or idol. I still think it was a metaphorical worship.

"Hitler was a Christian" – TruthBKnown

Uh, I didn’t say that. I said he was raised Roman Catholic and identified himself as a Christian.

“He was a Christian as a child and YOUNG man. He shed that in his adult life.” – TruthBKnown

I agree, so I don’t know what YOUR problem is, other than just another display of your “Christian” love by attacking an atheist.

He was just like any other Christian that claims one thing, but shows another. Quite common on GOLO.

TruthBKnown,

Is there some reason why you can’t just post on the blog? How many times are you going to try and bring the blog to my profile too? Do you need that much attention?

Just dropping by to say I enjoy your posts. You always seem to bring up some great points and ideas. Have a great day.

(((hugs)))

Thanks for the nice note.

It's still being done today. Unbelief is the biggest hinderance to most believers today when it comes to seeing miracles. BTW, I am not of a denomination of any kind. I do have a personal relationship with Jesus though.I have gone to every denominational church known to man...none of them did it for me.

“It's still being done today. Unbelief is the biggest hinderance to most believers today when it comes to seeing miracles. – Num one Red Sox Fan

I hear the claims miracles are being done, but I’ve never seen documented proof of a concrete, measurable, non-ambiguous one. Do you have enough belief or faith to do one? Read my blogs to understand where I’m coming from:

http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/4507073

I was raised in a Pentecostal Holiness church founded by my family. I’ve attended various other churches.

Lightfoot3 - "Sorry for the off topic stuff on your blog, but Rev. RB has been gunning for me lately so I couldn’t resist."

What a lying gossipping sack of cr4p you are.

Had Ken D never asked the WWJD question the blog would have gone fine.

Had you just let what I answered Ken D alone, the blog would have gone fine.

Like I said before, you're a lying sack of cr4p who has nothing better to do then follow me around stirring up trouble.

Grow up and smell the coffee already!!!

Troublemaker!!!

“What a lying gossipping sack of cr4p you are.” – FAKE Rev RB

Incorrect. But I’ve fully demonstrated you’re a liar and fraud on that blog. Go look.

“Had you just let what I answered Ken D alone, the blog would have gone fine.” – FAKE Rev RB

Actually, I just made a comment about Jesus, NOT you. The blog was not about YOU! If you hadn’t started attacking me for no cause, as fake “Christians” on GOLO do, the blog would have gone fine.

But I’ve completely proven you’re a liar on the blog. Go look.

Yo man...just wanted to give you a friendly F U! I have had that surfin' bird song stuck on my mind since you mentioned it on a blog the other day. I thought quitting smoking was gonna make me kill someone...but it is not nearly as infuriating as that song playing over and over in my head! What's even better? I only know the chorus so that is all that is stuck on "repeat".
