About me
I don’t lie, and I despise hypocrisy. I’m very patriotic and believe in following the Constitution. I live by the Golden Rule of treating others as I would want them to treat me.
While I was born and raised as a Christian, I’ve seen the light and realize religion is a farce. While there are some exceptions, most so-called Christians I’ve encountered are hypocrites and frauds. That seems especially true on GOLO. I do not believe that Vishnu, Amon-Ra, Poseidon, Thor, Jehovah, or any of the THOUSANDS of other gods are real. They are all man-made, nothing more than fictional spooks in the sky. Prayer doesn’t work. Bottom line is that there is no God. Sorry.
By the way, I’m pro-gun, pro-military, pro-Constitution, pro-death penalty, pro-democracy, and pro-“nuking” any country’s tail that messes with the United States of America. I’m slightly left of center with my political views, mostly because of my support of the United States Constitution and the related civil/human rights. I vote for both Democrats and Republicans.
I’m a firearm enthusiast. Use to hunt in my youth, but no longer have a desire for it. I do my hunting at Food Lion. I still like shooting. I ride motorcycles. I’ve been riding over 20 years. I drive a ski boat. While I do fish every now and then, I practice catch and release. Nothing wrong with keeping fish, I’m just too lazy to clean them. Did enough of that in my youth. I like to stargaze. I know how to fly an airplane. Once in a blue moon I dabble in poetry. I like to camp. Well basically, I like nature. I love sitting on a high mountain ridge while birds of prey float on the thermals about me.
NOTE for those requesting to be friends: I REALLY appreciate the “friend” requests. I’m not thumbing my nose at you by not accepting. I just don’t like those kind of features. I prefer a totally open forum. Besides, I get a kick out of having “no confirmed friends”. :)

As with most polarizing figures (at their deaths), even his detractors were reticent to speak ill of him...although he deserved a generous helping of ill-speaking. I didn't like him when he was alive, and feel no different about him now that he has passed through "the great equalizer".

I would love to dabble in astrophotography! Something I definitely need to look into.
I have been looking into other meteor showers and am planning on trying to catch the Geminids. I think I read that it is in December.

Lightfoot, I read somewhere that the term is "wingnut" when applied in the other direction. I've never actually seen/heard it used by anyone, but I've seen some strong invective thrown by folks on either side of the fence. I recently joined some political forums, and can't believe the namecalling that goes on out there!

Not me! I’ve seen bad stuff happening to good people, and good stuff happening to bad people, so I don’t subscribe to karma or cosmic justice in the end. So if I had the power I would DEFINITELY use it against some of the bad people I encounter.

Yep -- of the most vocal members here, there's a definite conservative majority. I enjoy talking to both, as long as no one's getting personal. But the comments here are nothing compared to what I've seen in some Google groups -- assuming the people there are telling the truth. Sometimes I wonder if they're just pulling legs.

But I SAVED all you negative posts on McCain (before he was the Republican candidate) and can repost your EXACT words if need be. So, no, I’m not lying. She said a vote for McCain is equal to a vote for amnesty for millions of illegals.
She said you couldn’t trust McCain, equating him to NC Governor Mike Easley.
She said McCain was endorsed by the NY Times which means he’s bad.
She said McCain voted against Bush’s tax cuts TWICE, pointing out his flip-flop votes and wondering what sense it makes.
She said McCain stood on principles that were NOT hers OR the Republican party’s.
She said McCain didn’t have needed “strength and assertiveness”.
She said McCain would spend too much money.
She said McCain would surrender all other aspects of domestic policy.

In re-reading tmedlin’s negative assessments of John McCain and why he shouldn’t be president, I think she might have meant that McCain would NOT actually spend as much as Bush and the current Republicans, but that it wouldn’t matter because he would be bad for all other domestic policies. Sorry for any confusion.

I call them like I see them. tmedlin is a PROVEN liar and a PROVEN hypocrite. No, I’m not trying to insult the fake Chrisitians on GOLO about Jesus. Another tmedlin lie. I use it to let people know my feelings about ALL the fictional gods, including the hybrid Jesus. I even explained it in my first blog! In addition to being a lying, hypocritical hate monger, I guess tmedlin has reading comprehension problems too.

No, I’m not Catholic. If tmedlin didn’t have reading comprehension problems, she could read my blogs for the reason why I call Vishnu and Zeus a spook. But more than likely this is just another deliberate attack from a hate filled lying piece of garbage. Given her demeanor, are we to assume she lashes out because of what she sees in the mirror (or on the scales)?
