I am recently married 4/17/09. My husband has just deployed for a year to Iraq. Praying for his safe return. He is an amazing man and I am so very proud of him.  I am usually pretty quite. I say what I mean, and mean what I say. I love making people smile. I will be the first one to say Im sorry if I did something I shouldnt. I have a great BIG heart.

I will give you some pics. I bought three poses with several different sizes of each. and Jiffy said she was gonna make copies on her scanner/printer to send to family and stuff so I wont have to send them any. I am not giving any to his family on his dads side beacuse they suckk and they probably wouldnt put them up anyway. well I am bored and I already ate my three fig newtons and my freekin grapes have seeds in them again! I am not buyin anymore from tha pigg because it said on the package SEEDLESS grapes. dumarses!! and they cost me four bucks. I am so tired I really need a vacation. my stepdad;s job (the goodyear plant) in fayetteville is talking about going on strike next month. he is in the union so he has to do whatever them idiots say. If they go on strike all the union will pay them is $100/week and during that time they cant receive unemployment and their healthcare/insurance will not be in effect so my mother wouldnt be able to pay for her blood pressure meds and stuff. stupid can the union be? Times are hard and as many people there are without jobs goodyear would not have any trouble finding replacements. i think the union suckks and now is not a good time to go on strike demanding krap and Goodyeat knows this.

Yes I was in the military and I'm not sure how they decide who goes where. I know that when your husband enlisted he had to prioritize his preference for overseas duty. If he was like me and single when he signed up he selected Korea as his first choice because it was only a one year assignment.

Carepackages: sounds like your doing a good job of them already. If you have kids, have the kid(s) draw or write him. Nudey mags if hes likes that kinda thing. I never sent any pics of myself, but if you want to, then go ahead. but like everyone said, sunblock, lotion, eye drops (lots)..etc. my husband had me send him about 20 things of eye drops to hand out to all the civilans (Iraqis) and they thought it was like gold! lol. on the home front, if you have kids, you can put a supply of jelly beans (or other candy thing like) in a jar (one jar per kid) and each day daddy is gone, then take one piece out of their jar. that way when it starts to look empty, they know daddy will be home soon

I just wanted to tell you that I was kind of mad at you at first when you got married because it was so soon (and I wan't there) but Duane seems like a really nice guy and If he makes you happy than I am happy for you. I am glad that you have somone that you love and that loves you back and makes you smile. So let him know that I appreciate him not only for risking his life to protect us and our freedom but for loving you and making you happy too. Don't get all teary eyed you know I hate sappiness.LOL oh and I love you too and not just cause you are my baby mama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw your comment on Aces profile. Usually deployments are chosen based upon MOS and the needs of the military. Also, when he enlisted (like Aces said) he may have put down Korea, but maybe not. I have a friend who's hubby has been to Iraq 3 times in the last 4 years and just got back only to end up in Korea. It all has to do with his MOS and the fact that it is severely shorthanded. Doesn't seem quite fair, I know.

You seem like you have been doing a great job with your care packages. Keep them going. Mail is very important. You would be surprised at the number of troops that are deployed and never receive any mail the entire time. It's heartbreaking.

my husband doesnt do the nudey books at home, but you got to think, no year of you, he's got to be looking at some thing! lol. I've seen pics of my husbands vehicle that they drove (AAV) while he was over there, and i couldnt believe my eyes! lol nothing but nude girls everywhere!

Has he said anything about when they will be coming home? That has got to be so nerve-wracking. My husband's brother was in the marines for 4 years. He spent some time over there. I was worried about him but I can't even imagine my husband being gone.

September will be here before you know it! My son turns 6 September 1st. He thinks it is NEVER going to be his birthday. I keep telling him that it will be here before he knows it but I don't think he believes me. ;) It can be hard to wait.

Enjoy your time with him! Maybe Korea won't be as stressful as Iraq.

Helloooo, so what did you end up doing this weekend? Did you go get chris? How did that go? I get off early today. gotta work fri and sat at both jobs. Last week I am working over there and I am glad, I will miss the extra money but I am relieved that I will only be working 45 instead of 60+ hours a week now. whew I am tired. well when are we going to get together? I need to give you your stationary! I am getting pale again. ohwell summer is almost over and nobody sees me naked anymore, LOL so who cares!! gotta go write back!!!!!!!!!!!!

When do you get off on sat.??? what are you doin sunday? Are you going to church? me and Kemari want to go with you the next time ya'll go! I got all of my scrapbooking stuff together in this plastic boc with a handle. I used to have more stuff than that I probably through some stuff away when I moved cause there at the end I didnt even care any more and I just started trhowing everything away. Jiffy's yardsale was a flop because it was raining on an off. we made like 40 bucks.LOL ohwell I gave tha rest of the baby stuff to this girl that is having a boy and it is her first so she didn;t have anything, plus she waited so late because she has had alot of miscarriages so she wanted to make sure she was gonna be able to keep it and now she is far enough along. So I just gave her all of that stuff because shoot half of it was given to me anyway so I might as well pass it on. my neck is so stiff from looking up at this moniter. mine is the only one on a built in shelf and its pizzing me off

Well we NEED to get together and have a scrapbook day, but I think I would probably have to have my mom watch kemari because he would not let me get anything done. Thats why I haven't been able to do anything so far even with just working the one job now I have time but he always terrorizes me when I try to do something.LOL He is such a little buthead but I love him anyway. on yahoo messenger. He is really nice and I talk to his wife sometimes on Facebook. She is in Germany because that is where he got sent to before they sent him to Iraq and when he gets done with Iraq he has to go back to Germany untill 2012. Yeah I don't have anyone coming in untill 2 and I forgot my lunch too!LOL but that is when I am leaving so I will just get something then. My week has been going alright. Now that the weather has gotten a little better I have started back walking again for 30 min./day. I walked sun, mon, and tue, and I am gonna go walking today too. kemari likes our walks sometimes I take him out of the stroller and let him walk a little of the way but then he starts trying to explore people's yards so I have to put him back in.LOL send me his address and me and kemari will send a b-day card! A mosquito or something bit me on the back of the neck and it is itching like crazy.

Thanks for the kind thoughts Lisa. He just found out that instead of going to Baghram Air Base like he was first told, he will be deployed to Kandahar, which is always in the news. And not in a good way. I'll be keeping your hubby in my thoughts as well. We can worry together. There are a lot of GOLOers with son's or husbands over in the big sand box. To clarify, you purchased a home outright, and subsequently the deed (not the note for the pool loan) was amended to add his name as a property owner?

There are several considerations here I need information about. Is his name also on your mortgage? Is his name still on the subsidiary loan used to obtain the pool? Is his name showing as a property owner on the deed to the home itself?

It sounds to me like his real motivation is to compel some sort of payment from you, or possibly / additionally to inflict emotional distress. A quitclaim, like any deed, must have been filed in order to have any effect, otherwise the status quo (in this case joint ownership) prevails. Unfortunately, the situation is somewhat in his favor but you do have options.

I am 3,000+ miles away from you, and this is not my area of expertise, so I think it would be more to your advantage to talk to an attorney in your area who specializes in real estate law. If you have an attorney you are comfortable with, talk to him or her. I would suggest Kirsten Ellefson Foyles, with Clark, Pfifer, Foyles and McNiel in Pinehurst, at 910-692-5100.

She's certified in real property law by the NC Bar Assn. and real estate law is her area of specialization. She'll give you a concise picture of where you stand, what your options are and be able to represent you through to closure.

Hey how is your day? I have been soooooo busy today it feels like the 3rd! I am supposed to work untill eight but my other girl said she might be able to come in after her doctor's appt which is at 4:30. I don;t feel good! kemari had a cold then he gave it to me and now my throat and ears are hurting. How about sat when I went to go pick him up from my mothers I had some mail there. They still send me stuff there even though I havent lived there in almost 6 years and I usually just throw it away. but I seen something from an old insurance company I was with like 8 years ago so i opened it and apparently they had sent me a check a while ago for when ins. companies was getting into trouble for charging opeople too much money and had to pay them back and I must have threw the darn check away. but I just had to fill out a form saying i hadn't received it and they would send me a replacement. guess how much? $732.00 isnt that wonderful? That is a blessing I am going to go ahead and get all

kemari's winter clothes and coat and shoes and go ahead and do ALL my christmas shopping now to get it out the way. I am soooo excited I am going to buy my baby a powerwheels four wheeler and a bunch of cars stuff, he loves that movie and I am take him to get some christmas pics made and get them made into christmas cards. i am soo tired i orfered him a cars 9 piece bedding set online from walmart for only $34 but remember that little blanket and sheet set we looked at was like $50 and didn;t even come with all of the stuff this one does. He better start sleeping in his bed or I'ma duct tape him in it!LOL read this and the one before it!!!

It was a looooong day yesterday, it felt like 8:00 would never get here! I brought a salad that I made and I bought some of the already cooked chicken strips like you use to make fajitas and put that and cheese and carrots and tomatos in it and then I have an apple for dessert. Tryin to eat a little healthier since I dont have any time to walk. I am going today when I get off to get my hair cut because it has grown out an it looks terrible now. I am going to keep letting it grow I am just gonna get some layers and stuff and if I have time I might get some highlights again because now my hair looks all brown. I don't know what I am going to do this weekend. what time do you have to work sat.? I thought that your appts. were on mon and thursdays? I have a dr. appt tomorrow when I get off at 4 because I had a bladder infection and the med. she gave me never made it go away completely and instead of her just calling me in another prescription she wants me to come back in so I can pay

another 25.00 copay and so she can get paid from my ins. company too. Once I get someone hired and have time I am going to find another dr. she is just convenient because she is right up the road from work but then I always have to wait an hour an a half and she is kind of dumb. I just want to get all my christmas shopping done now because I always say I am going to but I am the biggest procastinator there is and I always end up waiting untill the week of and then I get all stressed out and dont have the money because I didnt save it and etc. etc. so I am going to get it all done and put everything in the closet in kemari's room and not think about it again untill december. read this and the one before it

Well let me see if he is feeling better by then because he is super bratty when he doesn't feel good and I am not going to have him causing a scene at the mall.LOL nope my nerves are too fragile for that. Hey Wheat! I just wanted to know how things are going your way. We found out my husband is deploying early next year to Africa! This is his first deployment in the past 3 years, I'm not going to know what to do with myself lol. He maybe an a-hole, but I'm going to miss him. GOOD MORNING!!!! How was your weekend? I went to the movies and saw that new Tyler Perry movie I can do bad by myself. It was actually pretty good, and sad too. I cried a couple of times(so embarassing) glad its dark in the theater:) Me and Kemari went for a walk sunday and he played with his cars and blocks while I read then he got bored and started jumping on me like I am a trampoline or something. I made jumbalyah for dinner but it was kind of spicy. I brought some with me today for lunch. I made some chocolate and peanut butter brownies too. they turned out really good. well how are things on your end? why is mark bothering you all of a sudden again? Hope he doesn't start calling your job or coming by there. He knows your married now right? Yeah he is crazy but we already knew that, hope he is not doing drugs again because then he might get crazier. Just be aware of your surroundings. Its been steady here. I had to work last monday 13 hours by myself and I was so tired when I got home that night, it felt like the 3rd of the month or something. I am so thirsty I put my jug of water in the freezer and forgot about it and now it is a block of ice.LOL gotta wait untill it thaws out now. Send me a pic on my phone of your new hair!! I need to get someone hired and trained because soon but I haven't gotten any good applications in yet. :( You know how hard it is to find good help. well write back and send me a pic of your new hairdo!!!

I didn't know you're kids were that age. I'm sure that makes things a litter easier since they know why exactly he's gone. My husband will be deployed for 6 to 8 months, no breaks lol. I can't imagion going a year! His longest deployment has been 9 months so far. This will be his 4th, but first one to a non-combat zone. I don't know what to expect with a kid thrown into the mix. lol.

LOL, No I had got busy there for a little bit. I got my hair done too, it didnt turn out like I wanted it to but it never does(sigh) the highlights are not that noticeable to me and my cut and highlights was $85.00 I can't stand spending that much money and then not being %100 happy, maybe I'm just too picky?
