When I heard this yesterday afternoon I called my sister and told her to call her doc now for Tamiflu for her family. She got her prescriptions today. If it gets bad then it is going to be hard to find.

The problem is that these viruses adapt very quickly and even this one may develop a resistence to Tamiflu.
I also worry about a possible second wave of the virus in the US. The spanish flu which was also a H1N1 strain came in three waves the first and third were not that bad but the second killed a large number of people worldwide something like 30-40 million.
So even though we are seeing mild cases right now, we may see more severe cases in say 4-6 months.

Are you speaking of that blog about President Obamas mother? If so, I didnt get what was funny about it. It seemed very tasteless, IMO. I also thought it implied that his mother slept with an animal or something. Was I right?

Dexter was a feral when I found him and he turned out okay (for the most part lol). The vet said that I found him pretty close to the point of no return for feral kittens.
