I didn't take it that way, although it did need to be corrected.
I've lived long enough to have seen more than enough ugliness and rancor directed towards this group or that one. It seems to me, at times, like the greatest offense one can commit in America is being different. It always seems to invite the ugliest response. That's made me try to avoid treating others in that way.
I tend to stick up for the underdog, which is probably what rankles many around here.

I find that odd, since every demographic or group I can find which she either defends or identifies herself with is typically the majority one. It'd take an eloquent and detailed description of how this equates to sticking up for the underdog to convince me of its validity, but I'm always willing to entertain someone's argument.
That said, though, it's hard to square that perception of herself with the use of words like "dike" to describe other posters. That just seems like bullying to me.

I guess I can understand why, but I've also been accused of trying to belittle people for doing nothing more than speaking in a manner and with a vocabulary no different from that I would use in any other conversation or discussion I would have during my day or with a friend. I'm not sure what I can do about that one. Not tooting my own horn, but I'm a Harvard, Georgetown, Berkeley and LSE educated attorney with a Ph.D in Economics. I can't really sound like something other than what I am, so I'm not sure what to do about that one. I do appreciate the insight though.
