I don't know for sure, but can guess you viewpoint on this subject; I'll explain anyway. A standard tactic of anti-abortion folks is to use pictures that show an aborted fetus, or a diagram, like the one in an earlier blog this morning, showing late term abortions.
The picture/blog was meant to point out that using such graphics or images are meant to muddy the waters by eliciting emotional responses from people and really don't promote or help discussion. Not that anyone on either side really wants to discuss. Either way, the pictures are used for shock value only.
So, by using a gross picture of a procedure that is life saving and done all the time, I was parodying, or holding up for ridicule, the folks that utilize this technique to get abortion outlawed.
I thought about doing it on Rhinoplasty, but felt that pictures of bowels could have a more desired effect.
Thanks for your questions.

Yep. I was in radio for 15 years so I had a soft spot for that show. The wiki has a section on the music licensing:

If they ever release a collection of the original uncut episodes, I'd definitely have to spring for it. :)

I would also say, (note I'm not a lawyer or cop), that I believe a case could be made against Grace and her cohorts for interfering with a Police Investigation, because clearly, had it not been for Grace, Duckett would not have committed suicide. At least not that quick.
I agree that there were some quilt issues there to begin with, but again, without Grace, they Police may have been able to fully resolve the issue.
I don't know, what do you think?

I wore it to a little club in Charleston WV that was super crowded and way too hot.
When I got home I was soaking wet and my skin was bright red from my neck to my waist and both arms down to the wrist.
It was over a week before I was able to wash off all that dye. I even tried soaking in rubbing alcohol to no avail.
Sure made a big impression on my fraternity brothers...

LOL - you sound like my mother - she calls them 'stories' - I can go to her house fo a vist, catch one of her stories with a month long gap and they'll be talking about the same thing as the the time I saw it.
Wish I could get a job writing for those stories...maybe a 1000 words a week - cake...

I'm looking forward to seeing it. We've been so busy lately we haven't had a chance to go to the movies. Hopefully I'll get to see it on the big screen. The Netflix rental would surely lose some of the "Trek Grandeur" and the eye-candy factor of the theater experience.

... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.
All those movies are actually LOL funny. There are a lot comdey movies but the ones I remember most are the ones where I make an audible laugh - not just a chuckle at a witty scene.
One of my favorite scenes in the first Austin Powers is where he gets that cart stuck between the walls in that narrow corridor - pependicularly - beyond impossible but funny as hell...

Logical fallacies are one of the very few things that TRULY infuriate me.
No matter what argument one presents against a piece of legislation you'll be painted to look like you're IN FAVOR OF what the legislation allegedly addresses.
Against federal funding - you want people to die.
Against 'global warming?' - you're a shill for Big Oil and too stupid to discuss these highly scientific matters (I actually saw someone post that ONLY PhD's should be allowed to opine about AGW)
Want more doemstic oil production? - you're agaisnt any and all forms of alternative energy
Don't like how DC does things? - you're an anarchist
Don't want to pay more taxes? - you're selfish AND greedy
Recognize the dangers of Islamic Supremacists? - you want to kill all Muslims
Think Obama has soclialist ideals? - you're a racist
And we wonder why problems never get solved.....

Many thanks for the nice response.
I do truly believe that there is so much hype out there, about so many things, that it’s difficult to know what is REALLY going on. And, to find out, takes time. In my particular case, time is very precious commodity.
It’s especially difficult to determine REAL motivations. I suppose, as I’ve grown older, that I have become more suspicious of motivations. I expect a more proper word is “cynical”. ;-)
I’m slowly putting together a small series of blogs that take a look at various issues and the actual reasons behind the positions as compared to reasons presented to the public.
The overall title is based on the many BBQ restaurant billboards that you see along the interstate: Never Buy Barbecue from a Pig.
Have a great 4th of July weekend ....

But I do like your style. Congrats for being one of the few here who can remain above the fray.
Now tell me, what kind of lure should I use on you? :-)
