Jump right in the water is fine!! LOL

Hi there!

How was your week? Our spring break starts the 24th and I absolutely cannot wait! Much needed, to say the least.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

You better go get you Easter candy before Steve Crisp gets there first. LOL

Yo...new friend. Did someone mention Easter candy?

And do you really think distance will protect your Reester Bunnies? HA! I laugh at distances. I also laugh at carpets and notepads. Telephone handsets are kinda funny as well. But distances. HA!

If you don't give ME some Reester Bunnies, I'm gonna tell on you.

"They were starting to bicker a bit amongst themselves. Since the time change, they've been overly tired" Oh, I thought you were talking about the teachers, lol.

We get off the week of the 24th, and I am SO ready. If I can make it through one more week, it'll be downhill from there.

Enjoy your week, much-deserved I'm sure!

You are evil, taking your kids Reester Bunnies like that. Oh wait, I would have shoved him out of the way then laughed while I was eating them.

Loved your post today.

I couldn't have said it better than you did in your profile..."I love my family and I love my job. Teaching is definitely what makes me happy. I love sitting down at the barn with our horses and just relaxing."

I was also going to list Broadway as a vote for the friendliest town! Glad to see someone else had already done it. Since it was past 7pm, I couldn't vote.

Good morning... Glad to have a partner in crime - I mean education! ;-) What do you teach? I manage 7th graders in the subject of social studies.

Good Tuesday morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Have a great day my friend!!!!!

We get out all next week. we have to come to school on friday thought, so that is a bummer. Hopefully kids will be starting their vacate early!!!!

Yeah, sure it does kim. LOL. We arent sure yet, maybe visit her peoples in New Bern. I used to work in sampson county while she worked here in cumberland. We had different schedules and it bothered her. i didnt mind so much tho, I enjoyed the rest.

Good morning my friend and have a great hump day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kim, I was reading what you said in Lady's blog, you know what:

"You one smart cookie!" Glad you were in there!!

Happy Thirsty Thursday my friend, have a great day!!!!!!!!!

Well, guess what I have to look forward to all next week during spring break?!?! A ROOT CANAL!!!!!

The dreaded date is April 2. I am so scared, though! The dentist said that there were only 2 options: have the tooth pulled or get a root canal. Then he added that I was too young to have a tooth pulled, heehee.

I've also got a couple dr.'s appointments DURING spring break, so.......yuck is all I can say :-)

How are you enjoying your time off? You know the children miss you :-)

Happy Easter!

Oh, yeah, and I bought 3 packages of REESTER BUNNIES today, and I tried one....yummy! The others will go in the girls' baskets, or maybe mine, since I already have a dead tooth!

Oh, I found a Reese's brownie in Roses today! Chocolate brownie with Hershey mini-kisses and Reeses swirled on top. Pretty good!

Good Friday Morning and Happy Easter to you and your family my friend!!!!!!!!!!!

You get to teach them while they're still sweet. I've got the age where they don't even like themselves much less anybody else :-) j/k

I used to teach Kindergarten. Those sweet little hugs and words did brighten up a day. And you're a good woman for caring about their homelife. It is scary what those little ones have to go home to--no wonder they change so much as they age.

Sometimes I'll catch myself thinking about a student who has given me a hard time but instead of griping about it to myself, something says "just say a prayer for him/her." And I do. Not as often as I should, though.

Today we had orienation for the students who will be at our middle school next year. Some of my students were "tour guides" for the orientation. When they visited my class, I had several of the "tour guides" say such nice things about my class and about me! I had no idea--hope they weren't just "pitching a sale" lol.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend. Thanks for chatting !

Do you get itchy with things are unsymmetrical too (like crooked pictures or displays)? I'm beginning to think teaching English has made me obsessive compulsive :-)

Hey, we used to live on an old tenant farm near Cameron. The old Dull property on old US #1, back behind the Simpsons homes. There's a peach orchard across from where our driveway came up from the woods. I thnk they're cut the timber on the property in the last year or so and you can see our old barn back there. Didn't live there but about a year, but it was pretty neat. LOL...walking the rails down to Pete Phillips store, I even did yard work for his wife since I was in high school over at U.P. and odd jobs is all I could take. My cousin runs the Dewberry Cafe there. Drop in and chow down. Sigh, I'm hungry just thinking of it.

Glad tameecha Kim. I guess by now you realize there's a lot of you teachers on here. You ought to sit down and do a teacher blog of some sort and see how many pop out of the woodwork for ya. We also lived in Vass after we left Cameron. Nice area down there but with all this growth going on , it's changed so very much since I lived there back in the early 70's. I'm hoping the bypass will let Cameron and Vass retain their small town charm. You be good now.

We were actually, at that time, the third house on the left as you go into Moore County on #1. The old homeplace has collapsed years ago. I went down there six or seven years ago. Felt like I was in graveyard almost. But it was a beautiful place back then. Poor, but beautiful.

Here's the drama: http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=ee73e63418003b47d7d5

And here is another personal favorite song of mine: http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=6f9f1cc50d66e55e0998

It goes with the meaning of Easter. ENjoy!

I'm so glad to share. I'm kinda like the "oldschool" way of Christianity and worship. We don't do skits/dramas or any of the Christian rock kind of stuff. However, when I saw that skit, it just painted the picture of how we as Christians are constantly being pulled away from God by the things of this world, but He is always there for us and is petitioning on our behalf. No matter what we do, He's always there to pick us up, take us back, and love us.

I can't hear enough of In Christ Alone, though. I have been blessed with the talent of playing the piano, and after I heard that particular song I sent you, I just had to go and pick it out on the piano and play it. I now love playing it. THere's just so much power in that song, and so much truth.

OK, now I have to go listen to it again :-) Enjoy your Saturday.

Thanks! You have a wonderful Easter!

Hey Kim, I miss all of you also. I hope you have a HAPPY EASTER.

Wow. Thanks for the link to Who am I. That was so cool; very talented group there. God uses the arts to His glory.

Happy Two's Day my friend, have a great one!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a very small world indeed. I do teach in the middle school, I can't imagine teaching anywhere else. I love starting the day in the Bible and being able to point out the complexity and wonder of God's creativity in Science. (It blows my mind when you consider how DNA replication and transcription work, to realize that He is able to think in that code faster than we can think in English.)

Wow..I'm surprised they say anything good about me;-). You are right, Dalton is one of the sweetest young men I have ever had the pleasure to teach. His class is especially special to me because they were my first...ever. He was in the class with the "litte leather bal ls!" He has a really good head on his shoulders too!

How are you doing this week? How's work going? Ready for another break? :-)

Just wanted to check in and hope all is well. Take care!

This is what I wrote in the "prayer blog:"

Good advice. My toddlers have been praying since they could talk. Their prayers right now are basically the "thank you for _____", and "bless __________" and to help the ones who are sick. Sometimes my girls will call out specific names of people who are sick, without my prompting.

The other day my 4-yr-old asked about God making a new earth. (John's Revelation) I'm sure she picked it up in Sunday School. Anyway, I answered her questions as basic as I could.

Tonight she again asks, "Is God going to destroy the earth?" Then my 3-yr-old chimed in and said, "He's going to make a new earth" My older daughter said,"why?" and my youngest said, "because he doesn't like your fussing!" ROFL!!!

And I had no idea, at the time I was explaining all this to my oldest, that my youngest was even listening to our conversation! I was so proud of her :-) Tonight she prayed for "all my grandmas and grandfathers." Usually, she calls them out by name; this is the first time I'd heard her use those terms. I need to be so careful what I say around them because they mirror my words and actions. Not too much of a responsibility, huh?!

Happy Hump Day!!!!!!!Have a great day my friend!!!!!

Kim, Never been on the Dragon, but I think I found the Tail of the Lizard between Hwy 42 west of Sanford and ending at Ophir in Montgomery COunty. ;) Good little twisty ride.

o i have done 'tail of the dragon' we stayed at the snowbird lodge...great time....has your hubby done 421...from mountain city tn to damacus va?

Just dropping by to say hi. Been a strange week--how about you? Hope all is well!

Did you watch American Idol?

http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/2664676/

Good morning, Teacher, how's your hand?

Good morning, Teacher, glad for the news about your hand. How was the baseball game?

Morning Kim. I am almost to the weekend and I am off mon. AHH, I would love to rest....How are you?

TGIF, I hope that you have a great weekend my friend!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Teacher, good to hear from you, and glad the computer situation is getting back on track. Look forward to seeing you in the game blog later. Have a great Saturday!

Hey Kim - thanks for posting to the quick fun blog. Its time for me to get dinner on the table. I hope you have a great evening.

My ex husband is a Computer Programmer...he was the one that told us about Avast...highly recommend it and free!!! All you have to do is get registeration key code every 14 months or so. I was surprised I had some viruses on my computer because used AVG for years...just had run a virus check the night before and ran another virus check...installed Avazt and found several...was like OMG. One was a game that I had for several years...Elf Bowling...Christmas or one of the versions. Warning though...turn your speakers down...an alarm goes off if it finds a virus. I jumped when it first went off without warning *LOL*
