It's time for a profile update!! I am 23 years old I enjoy talking with others about topics I feel strongly about. I am engaged to the love of my life, we have been together since high school and we have a 5 year old son together. I enjoy Golo for the most part but I TRY and avoid the drama :)

Did you enjoy the time with your family? I know it is always nice when everyone can get together. We usually go away but decided to spend it at home and Im so glad we did...Im off to help my hubby see what is wrong with the pool pump. Something seems to be leaking from some place...grrrrrrrr... once you register, you have to validate your email.
THEN give it some time and you will get a email with all your soliders info including a email address to write them!

Did you sign up for the "Adopt a Soldier?" I did it on friday night when sessy had a blog up. I got notification real quick then they validated my e-mail all withing a half hour at the most. The waiting for the soldier info didn't come in till Monday morning so if your doing it, it can take several days till you get your soldiers name. I have had such joy since I did this Renee...I have family in the military, but it is so nice to reach out to someone you don't know and help make their time away from home a little less lonely...Im off again to help with the pump...That will entail me standing there asking what do you need that for, and are you sure this is gonna work...He just loves my help...OK,,LYMI....LOL....Kim

Isn't this exciting adopting a soldier. I never heard of anything like this when my brother went in over 20 years ago. This is so awesome to be a part of making someones day a bit brighter..Haven't heard from mine yet, but Im looking forward to hearing exactly what he would like. He said a few things but they were just snacks and movies...I told him to be specific so I could get what he LIKES!!! Hope your day is going good so far. Only 5 hrs and 45 min. to go till your done!!!

I jus talked to one of my Marine friends thats home on leave for a year....... so good hearing his voice other then a email here/there letting me know he is ok.

Remember: The soldier’s first priority is war and not to be a pen-pal. They will respond if and when they can. You can be sure they are receiving what you send, but many do not have free time or any days off for extended periods of time.
Service men and women tell us there is nothing like receiving something in the mail after coming back to their Iraqi base. Take heart knowing you have put a smile on their face that day…and they will remember you for years to come.
So....... I am thinkin of mailing a letter or a card to say "thanks"
My Marine friend might be jumpin on his Harley this weekend to take me to lunch :)

Im going to go around work today and pass around a "needed" list of things I would like to collect to sent to my soldier.
Gonna post a blog sometime today about it...... I think its a good idea to get help from work if one cant afford to send a lot of things!

Sooooooo, how long are you and the fiance going to be living this distance apart? Is he gonna come down here or are you gonna move up there? Staying home this weekend as usual but won't be swimming. The pool has turned a tad bit green, but my hubby is getting the pool part we need today from the pool store, so we can turn the pump back on. I know next weekend I will be swimming the whole time unless it rains...
You will do just fine when you move to greenville. You will be with the man you love and your little family will be together. Gotta get ashley off to school. I'll be back...LYMI..KIm

Pools are expensive to have and keep up. You could try one of those that you fill up and it expands. They had some on sale at the Roses in fayetteville for under a 100.00. We started off years ago with the smaller pools and had just as much fun in those as we do the big one we got now...With the one I mentioned you can take it back down when the season is over so it wont get ruined durning the winter...Something to think about when your ready to start having pools...

Girl don't even remind me about high school. She has one more year in the school she is in and then off to high school. Im happy for her to be experiencing everything in life, but it sure is hell on the hair...LOL..I think I need to buy some stock in clairol... Is your little one excited about graduation? Girl you have sooooo brought back memories today...Take lots of pictures of the day..Not only to remember a sweet time, but it works for black mail later on as well...Im outta here for a while.I will shoot ya word before ya leave..
