It's time for a profile update!! I am 23 years old I enjoy talking with others about topics I feel strongly about. I am engaged to the love of my life, we have been together since high school and we have a 5 year old son together. I enjoy Golo for the most part but I TRY and avoid the drama :)

My daughter gave me the "kick you to the curb" talk last week. She did it so well, I was proud of her. We usually meet for coffee/early lunch on Thursdays. She was very quiet the whole time and waited until the end of the meal to tell me that she had gotten accepted to UNC public health for a Masters of science degree with specialty in epidemiology/bio statistics. She was going to get an apartment this summer with her girl friend near Chapel Hill and wait on her fiancee to come back from Iraq. This meant that I will not be seeing me as much next year, But it was time for her to move a little further away from me, etc. etc. She was so grown up. It hurt like crazy, but I was so proud of her people skills and the way she managed it.
There is a song by Bruce Hornsby that folks your age probably never listen to, something about "listen to the mandolin play, listen to my tears fall, as she turned and walked away."

An old friend dropped dead at age 48 and I went to his funeral Tuesday. His wife has MS and is not far from death. They have 2 kids. The past 7 days have been a lot of tears for me.
The oriental philosophies say that life is pain and we should be surprised and happy when we feel joy. I am keeping that thought in my head this week.

You say you feel blah, ame ole, same ole. This sounds crazy, but buy a few flowers if you can afford it and arrange them where you spend a lot of time and can see them. Flowers are pure joy, in life, in the moment. See if this helps a little???? (((((HUG))))
