about rocknhorse
I've been a GOLO member for some time now and thought maybe it was time to update my profile.
As stated before, I'm a happily married mother of two wonderful kids. Life doesn't get any better. I am truly the luckiest person in the world to have my wonderful family! My husband and I are self-employed and have been for 10 years. We've had our struggles in the past, but it's the strength of our love that supports us through the tough times.
I am fortunate to have 4 horses, which I train using gentle methods. I believe that you have to see the world through their eyes. When you can successfully do that, then you can understand them and train them accordingly. This philosophy works equally well when communicating with people.
I am an optimist. Even during bad times, I seek the silver lining! Every event, every mistake is a learning experience. Rather than dwell on the negative, focus on the positive and don't waste the lesson!
I have been accused of being very opinionated and stubborn - neither are negative traits in my opinion! I believe what I believe, but I'm open to other opinions. While I may respect your opinion, that doesn't mean I'll agree. Likewise, just because I may disagree, that doesn't mean I cannot still respect your right to your opinion.
I believe as Americans, we have been afforded the same opportunities. Some of us took advantage of those opportunities and some did not. Those who work to excel and to better their lives should not be held back for the benefit of those who do not!
I believe in a hand up but not a hand out!
I believe in accountability/responsibility for your actions! Life is about choices and every action involves CHOICE! If you make the wrong choice, you should be held accountable-no excuses!
Beauty comes from within! It is confidence in being who you are and liking/loving that person!!!
Topics that are extremely important to me are drunk driving and anything that involves kids. Wrecks that occur because of drunk drivers are not "accidents." Kids need to be protected. People who abuse kids should be dealt with in manners that I cannot state here.
Finally, I believe in honesty, but diplomacy when interacting with each other.
Welcome to my profile. I have many pictures in my Image Gallery! I welcome comments, thoughts, discussions and debates!

You are me both. I have no tolerance whatsoever for such type of people. I wanted to post that blog just because it was closed for comments. I guess that is what we'll have to do now. Well have just cut and paste articles like that and discuss them amongst ourselves! Enjoy your day Rock!

Man, that is so cool about the house. How very symbolic to bring a house built by your husband's great grandpa to a new place and put it on a new foundation to live your lives there. It's like taking something solid and strong and making it more solid and strong. It will truly be you castle!

With the horsey blog, someone definitely had it out for you for some reason. I can only speculate why, but it seems that there has been a crackdown lately on blogs that seem to be semi-commercial advertisments written under the guise of blogging. Perhaps someone felt that you were trying to solicit horsey business by posting it. I certainly didn't see it that way, but who knows what goes through the minds of these weekend people.

Reid is alive today because someone chose restraint over vigilantism. Reid has a business, a family and life today because someone reported him to police rather than blow his brains out.
Reid’s previous punishment was the result of judicial prudence, not the heated reaction of an (understandably) angry man. Reid was judged by a jury of peers (or judge) after some deliberation. If Reid’s previous crimes were judged by his victims, I doubt the punishments would have been lowered from felonies to misdemeanors.
Is business equipment more valuable than toaster ovens? Yes. Is it more valuable than precious heirlooms? I am not sure. Is it more valuable than a life? No.
Regardless, I appreciate your thoughtful, well-reasoned and sound explanation. May God bless you and your family.

I am sending one more post to you, merely to better explain my position. I realize that my views portray me as a bleeding-heart villain’s advocate but, truly, I do feel for Mr. Reid. In that situation, I may have done the same thing. And, in the end, I simply want justice to come after careful thought and deliberation.
