I've been a GOLO member for some time now and thought maybe it was time to update my profile.
As stated before, I'm a happily married mother of two wonderful kids. Life doesn't get any better. I am truly the luckiest person in the world to have my wonderful family! My husband and I are self-employed and have been for 10 years. We've had our struggles in the past, but it's the strength of our love that supports us through the tough times.
I am fortunate to have 4 horses, which I train using gentle methods. I believe that you have to see the world through their eyes. When you can successfully do that, then you can understand them and train them accordingly. This philosophy works equally well when communicating with people.
I am an optimist. Even during bad times, I seek the silver lining! Every event, every mistake is a learning experience. Rather than dwell on the negative, focus on the positive and don't waste the lesson!
I have been accused of being very opinionated and stubborn - neither are negative traits in my opinion! I believe what I believe, but I'm open to other opinions. While I may respect your opinion, that doesn't mean I'll agree. Likewise, just because I may disagree, that doesn't mean I cannot still respect your right to your opinion.
I believe as Americans, we have been afforded the same opportunities. Some of us took advantage of those opportunities and some did not. Those who work to excel and to better their lives should not be held back for the benefit of those who do not!
I believe in a hand up but not a hand out!
I believe in accountability/responsibility for your actions! Life is about choices and every action involves CHOICE! If you make the wrong choice, you should be held accountable-no excuses!
Beauty comes from within! It is confidence in being who you are and liking/loving that person!!!
Topics that are extremely important to me are drunk driving and anything that involves kids. Wrecks that occur because of drunk drivers are not "accidents." Kids need to be protected. People who abuse kids should be dealt with in manners that I cannot state here.
Finally, I believe in honesty, but diplomacy when interacting with each other.

We are in Wilson County. Last year we were in Nash Co. Mini Me was state certified TAG last year. The program there was much as you described. I'm going to keep tabs on this program and if it doesn't improve, I may take her to Sylvan just to keep her challenged.

Can you please help me? I noticed that on your blog, you started the new DWTS group and you made group members editors. I have a group, I started a good while back and I want them to be able to post blog in our group, but I can't get the blog option to come up. I just made eveveryone EDITORS. I thought that meant, they could create a blog, but after I saved it, no blog option appears on our group page.
If you could please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I would really appreciate it. LOL!

This is what NAACP wrote towards me. Now he is attacking my mother, and I never even got into it with him. Nice guy isn't he. I pointed out to him that people's kids were off limits, that was his respnonse. Nice guys we have in the navy these days

I see your beautiful white cabinets and recessed lighting! that you will enjoy for years and years! What kind (and color) of tops are you going to put on top of them? Just curious... my guess is granite or solid surface. Either will look great.
