Hey Bubbles, what I wanted was to experience Mother Nature at her best, her fury. I have said time and time again I would never wish any harm on anyone or destuction to anyone's property. However since we can't stop a storm I take the necessary precautions, then kick back and enjoy it. I've lived over a week where it never got above freezing and had no power/heat and loved it! I was outside during Fran and enjoying that storm so yes I have and loved every minute of it. I've never lost an entire home, but have suffered major damage to it and yes I thought that was incredible as well. I have insurance that I pay dearly for. If I lose a home to Mother Nature, I'll just rebuild, not a problem. A home consists of the people in it, a house is a building nothing more. There are those of us that love the power of nature. I'm one of them! :)

You need to get extra rest right now yourself. The first trimester is a difficult one on the body as it adjusts to taking care of not only you but another life. Be sure to get that extra rest.

Of course, it depends on what day of the year it is, but presuming you are speaking of today or specifically of last Thursday night, pretty dark.
Sunset is at 7:33.
Civil twilight, the time at which you need to turn on your headlights, is at 7:59.
Nautical twilight, the time at which you can navigate via the start, is at 8:32.
And astronomical twilight, the time at which there is no effects of sunlight at all locally, is at 9:03.
By 8:15, it is as dark as it will get without having the eye fully adjust for darkness. By 8:45, the difference in light can only be detected via long-exposure photography.
With no moon, humidity well above dew point, very still air, and out in a semi-rural area with limited artifical light, it is totally dark. Dark as in if you are walking, you become unsure of obsticles in your path because you simply can't see them.
