Hello, WRAL.com! =)
I've been interested in local news for a long while and it's great that there's a place like Golo to meet like-minded folks! Angela does an excellent job of running the place.
A little about me - I love cooking, reading, gardening, and being with my family. I'm an easy going person but I'm not afraid to express my opinions, which tend to be conservative. If you don't like what I say don't take it personally, let's just agree to disagree. There's enough drama already on golo, heheh.
Even though I'm a State fan, I went to UNC-Pembroke to get a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Spanish. I'd like to try teaching ESL exclusively someday. I think it would be an exciting challenge.
I was hoping to get a job with WCPSS within the next year or two (I've been commuting to a county south of here), but that hiring freeze might upset my plans. =(

I also like roses but I have an awful time with the black spot fungus. I have irises in the spring – but they really need their own bed. I planted my irises with my day lilies because the irises bloom before the day lilies do – that was a mistake. The day lilies are slowly crowding out my irises. I like dianthus aka pinks. They are a pretty ground cover most of the year and blooms in early spring. What do you have?

LOlly...please let everyone know: now not only have issues mentioned earlier, but my youngest child has to go back to UNC Chapel Hill for further tests. Things are not as well as anticipated. Prayers and thoughts appreciated greatly. Thanks and God Bless You!!!!
