Hello, WRAL.com! =)
I've been interested in local news for a long while and it's great that there's a place like Golo to meet like-minded folks! Angela does an excellent job of running the place.
A little about me - I love cooking, reading, gardening, and being with my family. I'm an easy going person but I'm not afraid to express my opinions, which tend to be conservative. If you don't like what I say don't take it personally, let's just agree to disagree. There's enough drama already on golo, heheh.
Even though I'm a State fan, I went to UNC-Pembroke to get a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Spanish. I'd like to try teaching ESL exclusively someday. I think it would be an exciting challenge.
I was hoping to get a job with WCPSS within the next year or two (I've been commuting to a county south of here), but that hiring freeze might upset my plans. =(

Last night I spilled 5-6 quarts of freshly made soup all down the front of me. It soaked into my clothes and burned me.
Thanks so comeone here on GOLO, I calmed down enough to slather on Aloe gel and pack it all in ice.
Today I only have burn stripes across my ankles where my socks wer slouched and where the most hot broth gathered.
It was very scary, but has turned out exceedingly well. Thank and Praise God!!!
I can get Crocs on, and that's the most important part. ;o)

Regarding this - "I just always imagined you working at a church in some capacity."
My calling is teaching, Biblical of course, and I teach inter-denominational in an effort to bring respect through understanding between denominations. This, of course, many organized churches don't support as they're generally denominational.
Still, it's very interesting where God has led me, and whom God has led to me. It's a blessing.
