I am pretty savvy when it comes to tech...I am especially knowledgeable when it comes to LCD and Plasma TV's. If you have a question regarding the digital turn over, or regarding purchasing new electronics,...

I'm the one with flawed reasoning???
The surge is working. The US and Iraq are discussing troop withdrawal dates. General Petraeus is drafting a troop drawdown schedule.
The surge really has nothing to do with the progress of the rebuilding of Iraq. The ONLY purpose of the surge is to make the dayum place more safe, and it has. Therefore, the surge is a S-U-C-C-E-S-S.
Is violence reduced in Iraq? Yes? Then progress is being made. The surge did EXACTLY what it was intended to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

And that is EXACTLY what the surge did. It bought a bubble of better security. The troops were not going to walk into Iraqi government offices and force the new government to do their job. The troops held their end of the bargain. They reduced the violence and bought a bubble of better security.
Thanks for helping me make my point.

Not so. The surge began in January, 2007. The goals were set in May, and they were goals for success in Iraq, not goals for the surge.

I won't tell you the surge was successful. Your man Obama told the world that in his interview with Bill O'Reilly.
