I believe that all people are inherently good. Some people choose paths in life that can alter the level of good in them.
I believe in karma. Sometimes knowing people will ultimately get whats coming to them is all that gets me through the day (both good and bad).

I think deep down i still feel the same why...i dont know i went through a phase where in reaction to feeling people took of advantage of that side of me i became overly defensive and numb towards others feelings for a long time and slowly have been easing back. I feel that to some extent eventually i'll revert back to being that way, just probably a bit wiser around this time...hints of the bleeding-heart liberal i've been supressing have been forcing their way out recently, especially in the last 6 months. Nature vs nurture argument right? haha...and sorry to hear about the family affairs, it can be so traumatizing when physical ailments steal away our loved ones. great to hear that you've managed to stay so strong throughout.
