HA! Thank you, Keebler!

Hey, Brian! Seems like you spent the weekend at WRAL!! Thanks for the good job you did to keep all of us informed on traffic conditions during the winter weather advisories. Hopefully you can get some rest later. Peace.

Thanks, Ernie! I was one of many who spent the weekend here. Glad you were watching -- and I'm just starting to catch up on sleep. ;)

Hi again Brain, I meant Brian. :-) I really would appreciate it if you would mention (on the air) to folks about being sure to have their car headlights ON when driving in the rain at anytime during the morning/day/evening. Today I saw many drivers not using headlights and they were not easy to see. Thanks, and keep up the terrific work in travel.

Owlady....Good idea! Thanks!

Great posting with freerice.com! Its a big hit here at school! and its educational during those boring english classes ;)

Happy ♥♥ ♥♥ Brian!!

Hey Brian thought you might like this new site:

livenewscameras.com - from their faq:

Thanks for visiting the Beta version of LiveNewsCameras.com!

Everyday hundreds of live events take place around the world, and while you only see a few of them on our newscast - many are available to watch live on the internet as they are happening...

Our Mission The idea behind this page is simple - to bring together the resources of broadcasters around the world, and make it easy to find and watch on your computer.

As of today, there are more than 50 channels of live streaming video on this page - that number is growing every day.

You can even preview what is on any given stream just by leaving the site open on your desktop - many of the thumbnail images will refresh automatically every minute or so.

Moderated, Aggregated Live News Cameras We've also got a live moderator to help along the process - that's the video window on the upper right side of the screen.

Thanks, Sue! Hope you had a good Valentine's Day!

Hey, Brian, it's been awhile. Thanks for waking me up this morning. What...you don't know what I'm talking about? I fell asleep with the lights and TV on and without setting the alarm...woke up just before seven when YOU announced the time on TV...saved me!! Hope you have a great day.

Ha! Glad I could help, Sue! (And glad you explained all of that to the readers!)

Brian, has anyone mentioned to you that the Toyota Camry commercial with the father/son talking about the car features and the father says, "It's not like you push a button or anything." And the son responds while pointing to a button, "What's this?" and the father makes him get out of the car, that the son looks like you (or you look like the son, since I don't know the ages of the pair of you (LOL))? Every time that commercial comes on, I can't help but wonder if you all are related because it's an uncanny resemblance to you....or did you do commercials before hitting the big time at WRAL? Hope you have a grand day!! Peace and blessings always!

Ernie... I haven't seen that commercial, but I can assure you it isn't me. Maybe I have good twin somewhere?

Hello Brian. I watch WRAL every morning. You guys do a great job. Keep on doing the traffic. Mark was OK too. Am surprised that somone as young as you would like the Andy Griffin show. Thats a good thing.

Hokie 94, I'm glad to know you're out there! Thanks very much for the nice note!

Hey Brian...if you want a funny site for your blog...try this

manbabies.com

it is HILARIOUS!!!

Faith trust and pixie dust: That site is truly upsetting. I love it.

Good morning, Brian, it was nice meeting you the other day (in the break room?). Hope you had a great long weekend.

Likewise, Sue! It's good to put a face with a profile. (It's a pretty elaborate break room, huh?)

Actually, yes! From records on the wall to chimichangas in the vending maching...I'd never seen anything like it before.

I notice the same Toyota Camry commercial in which the father figure look a whole lot like Bill Leslie. That wasn't you behind the driver's seat Brian?

Hey, Brian!! Other than getting a cold from vacation, how was your vacation? You were missed. Have a wonderful day.

A lot of people think that's me in the Toyota commercial. Many also think I must be related to Victor Newman's son, Adam, on "Young and the Restless."

All I can say is that as far as I know, I haven't appeared in a Toyota commercial (at least, I never got the money!), and I don't know the guy on Y&R.

Thanks for asking, Ernie. I went to Montreal, and it was my first trip up there. It was OK. I'm not dying to go back. It's a very clean, beautiful city.

You can function there in English, but I think you need to know French to really enjoy it. Maybe I can brush up on my French and head back up there some day!

I'm hoping to find the deal of a lifetime on airfare to Halifax, Nova Scotia. I've always wanted to explore the Maritime Provinces.

I will say that the second of half of my vacation, which I spent in Vermont, was wonderful. Burlington and Montpelier are beautiful places. They don't call it the "Green Mountain State" for nothing!

Hey Brian. I just checked on this response. Thanks. You guys there are doing one heck of a job on WRAL.

I hate it that I had to leave without having the pleasure of meeting you, hopefully next time we can.

Good to see you again, Brian. Hope you had fun.

Good to see you again, Sue! Next time, Historians! ;)

I enjoyed meeting you today Brian, sometimes I get really wound up. (Sorry about that, haha!) I'll get those pics of Italy up for ya soon.

It was a fun day! Hal/Sid

A few pics of our Italy trip are up....enjoy.

Nice meeting you the other day!

Hey Brian!

Good morning and I would like to say that you do a fantastic job with the traffic in the mornings

Thanks very much, NCMOMof3! Nice to know you're out there! ;)

Hey Brian, I hope that you post some blogs in the TAGS group, we look forward to your posts!

Thanks!

Brian...I have another great website for you to feature on the morning news...Try not to laugh to loud while reading some of these!

Hi Brian, I did a blog on the USS Forrestal fire, check it out if you have time.

It was nice meeting you & everyone from WRAL @ the Golo party a few weeks ago.

Hal/Sid

Good afternoon, Brian! Thanks for the traffic reports in the morning and what's going on wral.com! The channel 5 team gets me going in the morning.

Thanks, Ernie! We're glad you're out there! ;)

Angela said you pay #20 a tip!!!! It that true???? I'm gonna keep a tab! LOL!

Ha! Maybe Angela has it in HER budget, but...

What? No mention of Flight Sim?

I heart Brian Shrader :-)

So, I wake up at the same time every morning. 7:20. I go down stairs, make coffee, and turn on WRAL. I sit, have my coffee and wait for the traffic report (since I drive from Clayton to Hwy 54, Chapel Hill Rd exit on I-40. I want to see if I need to leave a bit early or travel the north end of the beltline instead of my normal route. My routine continues, watching traffic at 7:40 and then jumping in the shower and dressing and out the door at 8:10. No need to look at the clock as it is the same every morning. You see where this is going? Yep...the traffic is now around 7:50. The first day of the change, my wife comes down and asked why I was still watching TV at 7:55. "What do you mean", I ask. My routine is so routine that I never realized that I was running late. I was ready in record time and out the door by 8:20. I now count on my wife to fill me in on the backups on 40 or just rewind on the DVR. If nothing else, I can adapt. You all do a good job. Thanks.

Wags.... Sorry we threw off your routine! Yes, we made some tweaks to the 7 a.m. newscast. We now hit traffic around 7:45. And that is the only traffic report where I don't begin by saying the time -- so I can see how it messed up the routine! For planning purposes, our traffic reports are around 7:27, 7:45 and 7:57.

I hope you'll adapt and stick with us! We'd miss you if you left!

Brian, you might want to check out this group blog, I posted a video link of Andy & Opie that you might enjoy.

Thanks, Historians!

I heart Brian. Let's go to Parker's!
