In Spite Of The Cost Of Living, It's Still Popular.

Swallow a Toad In The Morning if You Want To Encounter Nothing More Disgusting The Rest Of The Day.

He Who Dies With The Most Toys Is Nonetheless DEAD.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words, But It Uses Up Three Thousand Times The Memory.

Sixteen Things It Took Me 50 Years To Learn

 1. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe day-light-savings time.

 2. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests you think she’s pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.

 3. The most powerful force in the universe is gossip.

 4. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside we ALL believe that we are above-average drivers.

 5. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age 111.

 6. There is a very fine line between “hobby” and “mental illness.”

 7. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.

 8. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be “meetings.”

 9. The main accomplishment of almost all organized protests is to annoy people who are not in them.

10. When God who created the entire universe with all of its glories, decides to deliver a message to humanity, He will NOT use, as His messenger, a person on cable TV with a bad hairstyle.

11. You should not confuse your career with your life.

12. A person, who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.

13. No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously.

14. When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that individual is crazy.

15. Your friends love you, anyway.

16. Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and do it.

I love the pic of the stars, very cool!

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and may you have a wonderful 2008!

Christmas tradition--hmm. Family, pecan(pronounced PEE'CAN, not p con') pie, and decent pjs for the present opening video. Riding and looking at Christmas lights. Church on the Sunday night before. Mary giving birth to the Son. Putting out reindeer food (then going outside at 4:00 am to make sure the reindeer ate enough of it. Ah, Christmas...

My family Christmas tradition is to eat summer sausage slices on crakers [word filter won't let me spell it correctly] with honey mustard. It started with my paternal grandparents sometime in the '50s. We call it "Christmas meat," lol.

Hmm, let's see. My family Christmas tradition is to open one gift very late on Christmas Eve to let the excitement build for the next day. My husband and I started that when it was just the two of us, and our girls are now a big part of it. They love it.

We spend Christmas Eve at my sister's house w/my family. She always has one gift ready for the kids to open. The original purpose was to give them something to play with while we (adults) were visiting and getting the meal on the table. My son has dubbed this the "unpatient gift." After supper (typically lasagna), the kids unwrap their gifts and then move to another room to play. Then adults exchange and finally a "yankee swap."

Christmas morning, we wake up to see what Santa has brought the kids (and stuffed into our stockings). While the kids are searching through their bounty, we bring our lab in to unwrap her gifts as well (yes, she can open her own gifts). Quick showers and off to Grandma and Papa's house (hubby's parents).

At grandparent's house, there are goodies and treats to fill up on b4 the meal. A traditional meal of turkey/ham and fixings, then unwrap gifts. Then it's sit back, relax and visit!

We are starting a new this year and will try to keep it going. We were in the process of explaing to our 2 yr. old that it will be Jesus birthday. So he asked will we make him a birthday cake. So from now on we will bake a jesus birthday cake on christmas eve and have cake and ice cream and presents on christmas day.

Traditional? It's when my family laughs at my wrapping of Christmas presents.. Martha Strewart I'm not... My wrapped gifts take on the appearance of a hostage situation.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!

Traditional. My family on christmas eve get togeather have snacks and open gifts and on christmas day we have christmas dinner. We all have a good time just being togeather. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD BLESS YOU!
