about nick stevens
Most of you may know me from my high school sports coverage on WRAL.com.
I do a lot more than work, though.
I am avid sports fan - but my favorites are NCAA Basketball & Football. I am a graduate of Green Hope High School in Cary, and I am currently a student at N.C. State University. I am majoring in Communications-Media with two minors in Coaching Education and Journalism, and I plan on going into sports media of some kind (written, radio, tv, not sure which one(s)).
I enjoy hanging out with friends, singing karaoke (I'm not very good), going to country concerts, playing games, NCAA Football 08 for XBOX 360 (again, not very good), Guitar Hero, politics, and just having fun.
I do a lot of volunteer work with youth sports as well. Each fall, I volunteer with Cary Pop Warner Football & Cheerleading doing whatever they need me to do. And for the last two springs/summers I have been an assistant coach on a local AAU boy's basketball team - the Cary Cougars.

Now I understand why there is SO LITTLE coverage on Middle Creek's great conference run this year...you graduated from Green Hope!!! Haha! That explains it :)
On a serious note...keep up the great work you are doing on the WRAL website. Jaron is right, they are lucky to have you on their team.

There were soooo many things going on this past week - from forfeits, to tips that we had to track down only to be found untrue, to ADM numbers, Tom Knotts, and oh yeah - did I mention the normal previews and stuff?
It's been a crazy week, but Middle Creek has done a great job and should be proud. I look forward to seeing MC make a run in the 4-A playoffs now.
